I had them re-core some doors 7 months ago. for 7 months the door upstairs in my storage area worked fine. Suddenly it stopped working in August. I called and they came out the next day. No charge. They Said "we did the work. So no big deal it's covered.". Then the guy came out and found out it was not their work. it was weather stripping my roommate put in a couple years ago. Post Office Locksmith was able to come the same day I called and worked around my schedule to fix my lock. We thought that we needed a new deadbolt, but Jim, the lock technician, saw that we only needed to lubricate the latch. Not only did he save us an expense, he also fixed the hinge on our screen door. These people know what they are doing. If you ask a question you get an answer. When I wanted to replace the locks on my apartment with combination locks they showed me the range of items they had. They did not try to talk me into the most expensive one. This is a family business. One of the family showed up on time. It is feels good when you watch a craftsman doing his work. No fumbling, cursing, going back to the shop because he forgot a part. It was done quickly and it works fine. First I want to say they have got to be the nicest folks. I called at 8:05 on a Saturday morning because my friend locked herself out of her home the previous day, but didn't find out until late that night. They stated that they would be there to assist in 1/2 hour and they were there just as they said. Also, Don was pleasant, kind, and extremely professional and had my friend into her home in under 10 minutes, also the price was extremely reasonable. This is the best place around to have keys made - they have the widest range of keys in stock...way more than Sears, Home Depot, etc. The staff is excellent, too - great service on a walk-in basis. I've moved pretty far away from Lowell but still return here when I need keys! read more
