Smoked fish dip with fried saltines. They change the fish. This was trout- yum!

This was our first time here. I made a 6:00 reservation which was unnecessary. Service was friendly, helpful and fast. The ambiance was wonderful - especially for an old post office. It was rainy and cold tonight so their outdoor seating was closed. Looked really nice. We started with the grilled oysters which were some of the best I've ever had. We also ordered the smoked fish dip and pimento cheese for my son who doesn't like fish. My husband had the mushroom risotto and I had the wood fired shrimp. I wanted a veggie but there weren't many options for a side and the salad wasn't my jam. I got the smokehouse lounge to drink and it was yummy! Can't wait to go back.

Amazing bourbon options. The fish is so fresh it tried to bite back but Kevin wouldn't let that happen. Kevin's service was impeccable!

Kevin's service was impeccable. Fish was very fresh and the chefs creativity showed with every dish we had.

I now have a new favorite spot and super happy it's only an hour from our home in High Point! We took the day off to visit a Pittsboro since we have not been there in a while and it did not disappoint. Visited several local breweries and finished the night here. We wanted to try loads of things since it was our first time so we had cheddar biscuits, a salad, striped Seabass, and last but not least the most perfect hush puppies I've had in a long, long time!

First time visiting this hidden gem, passers by it many times. The food is cooked perfectly, the chef knows how to balance flavour, texture and eye appeal. My husband and I decided to split the steamed clams, blue sky lettuces, NC Cedar Island Fry, flourless chocolate cake. Kevin, our waiter, was highly knowledgeable, personable and attentive. Highly recommend this seafood restaurant for local veggies, house made desserts and the freshest NC seafood you can find within a couple hrs of the NC coast!!

The restaurant was roomy and tables weren't crammed together. This is accessible to those with mobility devices to move around with ease. The waiter was great and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced. I spoke to the owner after and he was very pleasant also. We drove 45 minutes and it was very worth it.

This is one of those places that's been on my "must review" list for months and months, but every time I sit down to write it, I think of something else on the menu I want to try first - but since I will probably never achieve that equilibrium, here we go. First: this is a LOUDASS restaurant, so if that is not your thing, don't come, and definitely don't come and then complain to the super-sweet host staff. Its location in the old post office is quaint and eclectic, and I'm personally obsessed with the insane stone walls that make me feel like I'm back in the sunken great room of my childhood 70s split-level. There are a variety of seating options, from the bar to a family table to a mix of two- and four-tops. Highly recommend a reservation, though; just tried to walk in on a Saturday at 5:45p and was given an estimated seating time of 7:30p -- so, the secret's out, y'all. The foooooooood, omg. Ok, so. The hushpuppies are only ok to me. They aren't as good as the outdoor fish camp ones of my South Carolina youth (yes, this review doubles as my memoir, thank you), which remain the quintessence of oblong corny goodness. But, I always forget about PFC's bread bucket and accidentally order hush puppies too. Don't do that - the bread bucket stands alone. It's Parker House style buns with huge salt crystals on top; I die. Also perfect here: the fried oysters. I recently tried the mushroom dumplings because I like to try non-seafood stuff at seafood places to see if they put the same care into the construction of the dish. These were decent but not worthy of a repeat order OR skipping fried things. Still on my list to try - the key lime pie. This is my all time favorite dessert and I'm on a quest to try every available version, but I need to stay away from that bread bucket if this dream is to become reality, alas.

I am compelled to remind every resident and every visitor to make this a "must go to and enjoy" place for either brunch on Saturday or Sunday, or for dinner any night of the week. Go for the amazing cuisine, vast wine list, and stay for the outstanding service! Recently, we have found ourselves trying not to enjoy just our go-to favorites that are mainstays on the ever-evolving menu. We have been blown away by the flavors of the large plate option called Chicken Pimientos. Don't let the name throw you, because it's not super spicy, it just has a nice kick to it with delicious potatoes accompanying the very moist and flavorful chicken. The way the kitchen team at Barcelona handles the preparation of the eggplant caponata is impressive and very unique. Other favorites on the tapas section of the menu recently are stuffed piquillos, corn zucchini bunuelos (think fair food turned healthy!), Wagyu carpaccio, lamb kofta, and pulpo gallego. Remember that their tapas offerings rotate in and out, oftentimes based on the season and availability of fresh products. The wine offerings are unparalleled in the city of Raleigh, and when you visit for dinner on a Monday evening, every bottle is half-priced. Can't beat that for a way to jump-start your work week! We tend to sit at the bar on most visits as bartenders Kira and Cameron truly handle their bar with a welcoming vibe and impressive ease. I keep telling my husband that he just shouldn't order paella in the US anymore. The manager was extremely accommodating and offered many options to help! The aperitivo board was divine. The items were bursting with flavors. My favorites were the marcona almonds, the aged manchego, and the potatas bravas. The table bread and oil were also fresh and delicious. There was another dish that I'm not sure if we ordered or if it was included, but the fish flavor was too strong for me so I passed on that. My husband enjoyed it though. I'd love to try some different menu options for our next visit.

Now, we feel compelled to return ASAP to enjoy these exceptional flavors, fabulous teamwork system of service, and a comfortable chic atmosphere. The place was happening at 5:45 pm on our recent dining night out with friends. Grateful to have a reservation we were seated at a very comfortable banquette type of seating. It felt like dining in a friend's home. Our server, William, is excellent at his job. Very efficient, great input on food choices, and quite personable. The meal started off with a burst of flavor as we enjoyed their fairly new offering of a ceviche called Eye of the Tiger that featured a sauce you can never get enough of. Wish their bread service was a bit more inspired, but the Le Farm bread did soak up some of the various sauces sent out from a very inspired kitchen team. Food runners help make certain the tapas come out fresh and hot when needed. They are a friendly group of hospitality workers who seem to genuinely enjoy their work and treat their guests with sincere appreciation. It all starts at the top, and GM Red is a personable and sound leader. We loved the Chef's pasta, our octopus dish was stellar, the Calabrian Chicken almost stole the show, but the unctuous flavors on the plate of the Seared Halloumi was hands down my favorite. I love how this culinary team can crank out such outstanding flavors table to table and patron to patron without missing a beat. The energy in the room must feed their souls & for that we are grateful. Lastly I wish to mention the thoughtfully curated wine list where my husband discovered a treasure of a wine from the Familia Torres brand. It was exquisite and paired perfectly with Madre's flavors. The wine was to her liking, and the cocktail was about the best example I've had in recent memory. Christian used Woodford Reserve bourbon and Campari rather than Aperol so it had a slightly less bitter taste and was a lovely auburn color. The food menu was very interesting, with lots of items we've never tried. We ordered caesar salad with anchovies, green beans in garlic-soup sauce, panella (a chick-pea and cream cheese dish), and seasoned French fries. It was all yummy and delivered together. I ordered a cocktail with vodka instead of tequila which wasn't a problem at all. I tried a few of the cocktails and they were all really good and perfectly described on the menu. I really enjoyed everything here and can't wait to go back!

This restaurant has been a mainstay for my wife and I since they opened years ago. There have been…read moretimes where the food wasn't fully on point (too little salt or spice) and inevitable bartender turnover but through it all it has been a wonderful place to relax over a extremely well made cocktail. Food - the new Sous chef that joined 6-8 months ago has breathed new life into the menu and the execution has improved as wee. As of 4/17 - Pork belly vao buns were stellar. Great balance between the heat and the sweet. We'll be back again soon

Small and the patio is so cute. The only downside is the a/c inside doesn't work well and it was hot. The drinks are craft and well done. I can always count on a solid cocktail here. The food is so good and perfect for sharing. My go to dishes are the gambas (shrimp), the barbacoa is my absolute favorite, the octopus and either the crudo or ceviche. This is more than enough food for 2 people. The food and drinks are consistent. I recommend making a reservation on OpenTable ahead of time as it can be crowded on any given day. They are kind and accommodating if you don't have a reservation, but you may have to wait. This is a Durham staple for me.

Overall, the food was okay, not the best but not the worst. The couple we dined with ordered the Gambas a La Plancha (shrimp) and let us try some, it had a delicious sauce that was really good with the ciabatta bread! My two favorite dishes were the Gambas and the Barbacoa, overall they had the best flavor/value. NC Corn Elote ($12): decent grilled corn, but there was way too much mayo on the plate. Birria Dumplings ($17): these were good, I loved the sauce which had a good kick! Barbacoa ($19): The meat was a bit fatty/greasy, but the amount of food was well worth the price. It came with corn tortillas and other fresh toppings/sauces that cut through the fat. Campechano Sope ($16): The dish had a good spice, however, I think the octopus was overcooked.
