    These are the instructions I tried to explain to the ladies who refused to listen.

    This experience was from May 2021 at the location off La Costa Ave and El Camino. Wow never in my life have I dealt with such condescension and rudeness. I came to drop off my FedEx Smartpost package. I told the lady with black hair I had a FedEx to drop off and as she starts to scan the other lady with grey blonde hair notices it's a FedEx Smartpost and loudly says "We don't get paid for those" and instead of giving me a confirmation receipt she tosses it in this small cubby near the floor and points at this sign on the ceiling and says this is where you drop off post office packages. And as I try to explain to her it's FedEx, she keeps cutting me off and says NO it's shipped by usps. Without letting me explain she keeps trying to convince me it goes to the post office. She grabs my package and points at the label and says "Can you read? It says USPS." The other lady proceeds to try and convince me saying FedEx has a deal with usps but usps ships it so it goes to usps. I was so shocked with the way they were coming at me, so I left. But before I drove away I looked on my phone for proof of what I was talking about. I came back in to show her the actual instructions to make sure that FedEx scans it, and FedEx will proceed to give it to usps and I tried to show her the instructions, but she wouldn't even look at it. And again they both try to convince me that I'm wrong and barely let's me explain. I say it specifically says drop off at FedEx or FedEx authorized ship center NOT usps. And they laugh at me saying, once again "Can you read the sign? we ARE a FedEx authorized place" and "We've been doing this for 30yrs I think we know what we're doing". At the end I was just so baffled I didn't feel comfortable leaving my package so I took it and left. DO NOT TRUST them with your packages, especially FedEx smartpost. For FedEx Smart-post, FedEx will scan and they will handoff to usps. They apparently refuse to understand this. Do yourself a favor and go to the FedEx off of Faraday and the UPS off Aviara, to insure your packages are shipped correctly. I would never trust this place with sending any mail or packages. Even with their "30yrs experience" maybe they need to educate themselves with new mailing services. But again, they didn't seem to care since "They don't get paid for these" fedex.com/en-us/shipping...

    Lousy place. Don't go there. Rude and impolite staff on 11-21-24 around 11 am. UPS store nearby is 100% better.

    On my recent trip to Staples I brought a pencil sharpener to return that I had purchased online. I…read morewent to the front because there was no line at the time and I have been stuck in long ones before. The person working the register got my order id and then hands me a receipt. He was not trained to confirm the details about the amount of my return. Unfortunately I was only given back the value of 60 % the cost of the item online and 50% of the cost in store. The month before this I had placed an online order that never arrived so part of my purchase was using a credit, but not the kind of credit that requires a minimum purchase. So I asked if I could exchange the item instead and he called a manager who was not interested in even listening and she called some 800 number and handed the phone to me. If the employee had confirmed the amount of the return I would have been able to do an exchange, but his failure to do that cost me money. And the manager was unwilling to cancel the return so I left without my pencil sharpener and lost the credit that they gave me for failing to deliver my order. This is not a lot of money, but i expent cashiers to be competent and I expect managers to train them. The store manager was awful, did not care about the customer and took no responsibility for running the store.

I apologized for asking a question. Ten minutes later an employee took my photos. Then I asked for copies of documents to be printed. I was referred to self-service. After following all the steps - the codes sent to me by staples did not work. I approached full service and the employee was condescending and I decided to match her energy. She questioned me regarding the steps I took to complete my copy process. I told her. She spoke to me like I was five years old and asked each question again. She took my phone and said to wait for another code. I went back to the self service machine. The code never came. Another employee hovered offering to help. I let him know what was happening and he told me to go outside because the wifi would work better. This was after the machine had already taken my payment information- I was just supposed to go outside and wait patiently. Other customers came in and had the same trouble I had. It was clear when I spoke to other customers that my frustration was building. After being chastised and being treated like a five year old Esteban let me know I didn't need to give him attitude because he wasn't giving me attitude. I let him know how I felt about this horrible experience and left. No copies. I hate Solana Beach Staples. Worst service of all office retailers.
