Loved this restaurant. They have a wide selection and everything I had was impeccable. This restaurant was right next to the college and it's safe to walk at night. The service here was the best. Our server was Darren and she was the nicest and most helpful. You have to get the bruschetta board. It's a great appetizer to start off with. Me and my friend both got the paninis. I got mine on focaccia and she got the ciabatta. The focaccia was baked perfectly. I had leftovers since we got the bruschetta to share. We also got the espresso martinis to finish off our meal. It was delicious. Very flavorful. We sat outside and the day was beautiful. It was around 90 degrees. It was a nice atmosphere. We have a location in Denver and I can't wait to try some more items off the menu. This restaurant is a 10/10! read more

5+ stars! We went back to Postino Annex to celebrate the daughter's nearing completion of first year at ASU. We were running a tad late to our reservation due to heavy traffic and I called to explain our circumstances, JR, the manager listened to my explanation and ensured us we would be okay and he would notify the servers of our later arrival. We were greeted, sat, and given menus. JR came by to check in on us, super attentive and chatted with us for a bit. We ordered drinks and food and our wonderful experience at Postino continued. The spicy cauliflower was recommended and it hit the spot. Our server, Zoey was attentive, friendly, and on point. We enjoyed the delicious food in a relaxing and beautiful setting. Giving 4 stars because they sat us 20 minutes before kitchen closed and still served us food so we appreciated it! Now take my review with a grain of salt as the quality of the food might've been influenced by the fact that they were closing but also I've worked in restaurants before and while the kitchen always tries to pre-close in the last 20 minutes the quality of the meal should not be any less better than usual. Anyways, the meatballs were good so no complaints there but the skewers were not good. My boyfriend who eats anything finished them but for me both the chicken and beef were undercooked. The beef was like RARE. I didn't want to be that person to complain after they already did an exception to serve us food before the kitchen closed but I knew I had to write about it here. Now the server who helped us was a nice guy but a little all over the place. We didn't have utensils on our table. It just felt like they wanted to get rid of us ASAP even tho the bar was supposed to be open for another hour after the kitchen closes. Postino has been a favorite restaurant for my wife and me for so long! From happy hours, brunches, late night snacks, and even our first date, we have been to every Position location in the Greater Phoenix area. The taste of food is great, the locations are convenient, and there are some great deals and promotions. I was pleased that a colleague was in town today and interested in joining me for lunch at the Postino Annex location in Tempe right near the ASU campus. He arrived a few minutes before me and was brought to a patio seat outside. When I arrived, our server stopped by the table within a minute or two and offered us drinks. We did not make a reservation in advance, and there was no wait, which in some ways is surprising being lunchtime on a college campus, but I am certainly not complaining. We ordered an appetizer ("Snacks Things") of meatballs and goal cheese, which are house meatballs, pomodoro, goat cheese, chive, and focaccia. They came out rather quickly and were delicious! They actually were so filling and our lunch entrees arrived shortly afterwards, so we never actually finished them up (which I regret). My colleague ordered a bruschetta board due to the great options and leftovers. I chose to order a prosciutto and brie panini (but substituting chicken instead of prosciutto), which came with chicken, brie, fig jam, arugula, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil. While it wasn't the same as when turkey was substituted back when Postino carried turkey, but it was still very tasty. It also came with a side romaine salad (which I chose over chips). We did not have room for dessert. The service was wonderful (thanks to our server Emma!), and the speed of the meat was a reasonable one which wasn't too fast or too slow. I also appreciated Postino Annex's partnership with ASU for the annual ASU Sn Devil Giving Day, where 20% of any meals from March 19 through March 21 at this location go back to ASU through the fundraiser as long as you mention "Giving Day" to the server or use GIVINGDAY as a code when placing an order online. I have signed up for the ePosse and have enjoyed receiving birthday promotions including a free dessert and reservation as well as a free full bruschetta board for my wife and my Postino anniversary. Or instead of the bruschetta board, it can be used at other Upward Projects restaurants for a free appetizer at Windsor, a free pizza or entree at Federal Pizza, or a free appetizer at Joyride Taco House. Happy hours are also great daily until 5 PM with $5 wine by the glass or pitchers of beer. On Monday and Tuesday evenings after 8 PM, you can order a full bottle of wine and a bruschetta board for only $25. I look forward to coming back again soon! read more

This is our favorite Postino. We always enjoy a bite and a cocktail here after ASU events. You will need to park in the garage or on the street, and I'm not sure if there's any free parking anywhere in the area. I really like the decor at this Postino, especially the western comic book (I think coming books??) collage on the wall. There's a great patio for seating in good weather. There's a huge menu of beers and a nice selection of wines, as well as a full cocktail bar. The menu consists of a lot of appetizers, panini's, soups, and salads. Hear me out I'm a Postinos fan all day every day, but I don't come to this location. Usually we came yesterday with my girlfriends for the bottle and board I ordered my board as I usually order it. Nothing new, it tasted disgusting smelled like fish. Why would my mushroom mascarpone smells like fish? Why does my tomato mozzarella smells like fish? My girlfriend also had the same experience I just feel like they cut my bread or the vegetable with a knife that they're not supposed to. YumYum... I found this fun little place through a conference I attended at ASU. Location is walking distance to the university with nearby parking, if needed. My group had reserved seating in the back - large table on the patio & one nearby in the restaurant. Food was served buffet style with hot appetizers, sandwiches, and desserts (giant donut holes!!). All food was fresh, with options for veg, vegan, & animal lovers. Although I didn't have anything other than hot water, the beverage selection was really good for all thirsts. Prices seemed on par for the area. Bathrooms are accessible with a code, so they were relatively cleaner than most. 2 negatives -- staff doesn't wear a uniform, so it's hard to tell a server from a guest and it took a loooong time to get a cup of hot water. read more

I was definitely not thrilled when the place selected for a little get together was Postino Annex. The location is in the center of ASU and the menu was not appealing. However, all of that changed once we were seated. Even though we had reservations for 8, upon arrival we were told where they had planned for us would not fit or maybe we could sit in a couch area? NO! We did find a spot outside and pushed a few tables together. Actually, that location was excellent. It was a beautiful warm evening and this spot was a ways from the loud speakers so we could hear each other. The menu is different. It's not what we would have thought of for a meal but it worked. We shared bruschetta boards, a cheese plate and also ordered the italian Beef Dip plus other sandwich type items. The board was delicious as was the fondue. The beef dip with bri was excellent without the garlic aioli. One sandwich had a bunch of that and the other not so much. However, the au jus was downright cold. Didn't care for cold au jus. Had the au jus been hot, I would have said best beef dip I had ever had. After I've said all of that, would I want to go back? Definitely now that we know how to order. I came to Postino's close to when they were closing and I ordered the Tuscan tuna Panini and I also ordered a side salmon pesto bruschetta. The bruschetta was fine however, the Panini was very light on tuna it was mostly bread. And then they used sweet pickles instead of regular pickles. Very disappointing. I wanna say this is the first time that I've ever received a sandwich like this from postinos where they don't put enough meat on there. The customer service was great however I don't feel like I should've paid this much for something that that barely had any meat on it. I was very disappointed in this meal and from now on I will be going to the south rural location. We frequent this Postino because it's closest to us and our friends but we are probably done with this location for a while. Service is never good, really really subpar or even bad most of the time. On our last visit, their systems were offline so it took about 25-30 mins to get our first round of drinks in. The server had to come back and place our order 2-3 times before it went through. Drinks were dropped off and she never checked on us again. Forgot we existed. About 15 minutes after, we decided to wave down someone to take our order and he said that our server was done with her shift so that's why the absence. We got a new server and he was fine. We didn't really let it bother us because we came during peak hours and we were winding down after a long day. We noticed that a lot of people were leaving and the restaurant was slowing down but still no sign of our food. About 30 minutes go by and we decide to wave down our server to see why it was taking so long. He goes to check and not even a minute later he comes back with our food. Not sure if it was sitting there but I've never had a freshly made "hot" panini come to the table cold until now haha. Anyway, the pitchers of beer and $6 glasses of wine is a great deal but not sure if it's worth the horrible service and terribly loud atmosphere. I think management realized we weren't being served well because they came and checked on us a few times. Initially thinking it wasn't going to be too crowded since it was a little after lunch hours on a Friday (~1:30pm) but to our surprise, there was a wait for a table. We were quoted at least 1 hour for a table for 8 but thankfully we were seated within 15 minutes on couch seating. We shared all food family style - Crispy Cauliflower ($12.95), Skewers ($14.95), Sweet Potato Wedges ($9.95), Caesar Salad ($12.50), and three assorted Bruschetta Boards ($16.95 each). Along with our food, we also ordered a few Peach Bellini's which were on happy hour for $6 each. The cauliflower came intact with a bit of a roast - really really enjoyed the sweet sultana raisins that paired flawlessly. The sweet potato wedges were just meh... I was expecting something closer to fries but there wasn't any crunch and lacked flavor. For the bruschetta board, I'm all for the burrata+bacon+arugula+tomato & salami+pesto.
