I've been hesitant for a while due to her pricing, but I thought why not treat myself during my birthday week? I booked a 1.5 hours session with Kim and initially regretted it but then loved it at the end. Kim is the real deal when it comes to getting your knots out! It was almost 80% of the time not relaxing until the knot was pushed out hahaha. I couldn't believe all the knots she found in my calves, my traps, my upper back... it truly felt like the weight off my shoulders were relieved by the end of the session. I'm thinking of going back to Kim on a quarterly basis but taking into her recommendation of foam rolling more. We only have this one body so might as well treat it right! He immediately assessed me and said he could help with my other issues (eyes & liver), but first, he would have to "fix" my scoliosis. I laughed to myself as, after being seen by Western doctors, I was told I am close to having to get surgery because of the severity of my crooked spine. I definitely never wanted surgery, so I figured I would try Dr. Liang and see what he could do. I was a bit skeptical because the office is plain and there is a bit of a language barrier, since he is most comfortable speaking Chinese, and I only speak English. However, he always takes the time to explain his process and how my body is responding (sometimes through a translation app). He works mostly through massage and pressure points. I will not lie, the manipulation on my back and body has been extremely painful at times, but after I leave, I can feel the difference and know he is working in the right places. He is literally remolding my body! It has been 3 months of weekly visits so far, and my back is completely different. It is not fully straight, but I am happy with this result so far and know it will keep me from having surgery in the future. I plan to get an X-ray towards the end of the year, and I'm already excited about the significant improvement in my spine, so I can't wait to see the difference in the images.
