Clearly the wrong order. What the heck is that white stuff? Not the Swiss cheese I ordered, that's for sure.

Ordered 3 sandwiches online for pickup. Arrived to pick them up on time but had to wait an additional 15 mins for the pickup (after already waiting 10 mins). Checked the bag while at the store and everything was labeled correctly, so figured it should be right. Got home to find the completely wrong order on 1 of the 3 sandwiches. It was supposed to be a simple turkey Swiss on white bread. Off the bat I could tell it was wrong since it was wheat bread. Unclear what I was given, but hungry, I tried to eat it. It had maybe one slice of turkey, some weird spicy sauce and some chunky white stuff that may have been cheese but really not sure (see pic). The other 2 sandwiches tasted barely average so it was a very disappointing experience overall.

We are super pleased to have a Potbelly's in our neighborhood and have been waiting (kind of) patiently for this store to open. We finally made it over there tonight. For those not familiar with the chain, they serve really yummy sandwiches on hot toasted bread. They are delicious. There are also a number of other options like salads, but really, the sandwich is where it's at. My personal favorite is the Italian. The store is small, only 63 seats according to the occupancy sign near the front door. But it's definitely a Potbelly's, decorated with all the fun colors and wall hangings that are typical. When you order at Potbelly's you walk to the far end of the counter and place your sandwich order (options you have to specify are white or wheat bread and regular or Big size -- go Big!). Then you slide down kind of a la Subway and the next person takes your order for toppings on your sandwiches. Pay at the end. The milkshakes are really yummy too and only like $3. Food-wise we really thought the quality of our sandwiches was better than even most other Potbelly's stores. The sandwich was perfectly warm, toasty and had just the right amount of mayo and oil. Really yummy. We did feel like the service was a little slow but are chalking it up to the store being brand new and customers not really knowing the system yet. I'm sure we'll be back soon. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Instead EVERYONE is 100 % natural welcoming laid back and genuine in wanting to see you content and pleased. Nothing is ever pushed onto you. The quality of the pastrami, its seasoning, the textures and bright flavors of the breads and bagels the nova the chopped liver the extra creamy marinated Cole slaw and perfect half sour pickles ( wISH they had bialys!). All perfect. All old world. Our favorite very old deli in West Palm Beach was sold 1.5 years ago and gone gone gone are the DELIGHTFUL happy charming old staff and the perfect old world flavors, cooking. In Sarasota where we just lived the last 5 years, a new deli closed after just 2 years, and there is nothing left. We've been visiting family in Sarasota every year for 40 years. Gone too in the Twin Ciries is the ownership by brothers Scot and Stu of Hopkin's beloved Crossroads Deli just last year. The new owners, a corporation owning 6-8 other restaurants have CHANGED almost all the recipes for breads, cakes , wonderous cookies and 80 % of all pastries! No more butter, no more fine ingredients and no more of their once " Grossinger's taste/quality" STELLAR seeded rye bread! They even eliminated the lemon flavoring. In their incomparable lemon coconut cake! Their stuffed cabbage is one of their only true deli dishes left. Sandwiches are half their original size...... heart breaking after going there 3-4 times a week for 25 years........ Cecil's of course had to cut back on the $$ use of butter in their pastries. But they have WORKED VERY HARD to still retain their wonderous long long ago heart warming flavors. ALL their sandwiches are AUTHENTIC. Old world New York City flavors! Made with care and love. My husband loves their beautiful generous Nova salmon platte. Noshing away happily! I love their pastrami Rachel's with plentiful half sour pickles lots of Russian dressing and creamy Cole slaw. Mmmmmm. I hope and pray Cecil's owner refrains for a long long time from selling his rare business. We must support Cecil's too.... Or lose it with all the others, and lose part of our joy and heart. Thank you Cecil's .....

Old school all the way. There's a restaurant in the back, and a full-scale deli counter in the front. It is such a good stop. They have their own private parking lot too. Packed the midweek afternoon we visited, and we did not wait for a table. Loved my bowl of Matzo Soup, superb broth and the Matzo was delicious. Enjoyed my BLT on whole wheat and the homemade potato salad was amazing! Had a cherry cobbler for dessert that was incredible. Restaurant has been open for over 70 years, and I met the owner/manager, Cecil, afterward, and he just oozes customer service being a priority. It's a must-visit place.

The biscuits and pie are always very good. Mini pies and by the slice satisfy the sweet and savory fixes for the week. This past weekend, I tried a new lox biscuit that had recently been added. Sunnyside up with a crown of egg white cradling a perfectly runny yolk. These are so consistent. Staff are very friendly. You order at the counter and they serve you at the table. My neighborhood is a few blocks east. But Snelling and Selby Avenues are St Paul's own little Eat Street. The news that Groundswell in the Midway neighborhood was very sad. Mistake, or just one of those situations where they judge the strips to be a little short so they compensate with an extra. Whatever, I found them nicely flavored and ever so slightly overdone. I got medium ("Coop") and liked it very much, I would get that exact one again unless I wanted to try other ones which seems like it might be a good idea. Also it came with a side of mac & cheese (substituted from fries) and that was very good. I will DEFINITELY get that again. This is a nice, quick, easy chicken option.

Space is utilitarian. I would probably always get it to go after being in the space. The staff were nice, and the food was ready when promised. All three eaters gave the food a C or C+ rating. The fries were the best part, very good - even after being in a to go container. Had we reinvigorated them in the air fryer they would have been even better. Chicken was good, but not great. Spice level was accurate. Cole slaw was warm, which is not a temperature cole slaw should be. The sauce that comes with is not my thing, and the 16 year old said it was a copy or Raising Canes sauce. Overall not a bad experience by any means, we just won't be hurrying back.

The kitchen is only open for breakfast and lunch service M-F, but if you stop by outside of those hours you can still grab stuff from the cold case! The pita chips ($3.99) are always a must for me, and I usually pair with the labneh ($4.99), a Lebanese yogurt chese, which is AMAZING but they were out today--but Ed was kind enough to give us a complimentary tub of the baba ganoush ($5.29) to try which was delicious!! My go-to here is always the chicken + garlic sandwich ($10). I've tried the bowl, I've tried the falafel, but that sandwich is just TOO good. Comes with lettuce, pickles, and fries on it, with the option to add jalapeños--and I always do! You can add a side of fries to any entree for $1.50 which is a steal--items all made to order, so the sandwich comes out fresh and the fries are hot and crispy every time! The food is best when it's fresh out of the kitchen; so it was really cool to see today that they've added a couple of tables--two small standing hi-tops in the store, and a couple of picnic tables outside. It may be unassuming from the outside, but don't be fooled--Ed's packs an absolute punch of flavor and is one of my favorite spots in the metro.
