Through a Palestinian friend who knows the owner, I even met her back when the restaurant was much smaller. I've also been ordering the chicken musahab since it first became a menu item a couple of years ago, and have always liked it. I've recommended this place to friends and family, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I ordered the chicken musahab and after just a couple of bites I couldn't eat it. The chicken was extremely spicy in a way that was completely different from what I've had here before. I usually have no issue with spice, but this was genuinely inedible for me. My lips and stomach were on fire. I brought it back up and explained the issue. I was told that other customers have complained about the same thing before, but management does not issue refunds. There was no replacement, store credit, or any alternative offered. What stood out most is that this seems to be a known issue, yet there's still no effort to make it right when it happens. I ended up paying around $40 total and wasn't even offered the lentil soup that's typically included with orders over $15. I wasn't looking for anything extra -- just some basic acknowledgment that I couldn't eat the meal at all. I rarely send food back, but this was one of those times I had no choice. I left without eating my meal and pretty disappointed. Just sharing in case others have had the same issue or are thinking about ordering the chicken musahab.

The only thing was, it was served with ranch dressing instead of a more traditional tahini or even tzatziki sauce and there were no onions on the sandwich. The next time I got in I will ask for a different sauce than ranch and will also add onions. Long story short: Definitely worth a stop in for an excellent gyro or falafel. The rice and couscous is always moist and tender, the veggies are fresh and flavorful, and the new tomato based sauce they have is delicious! I'm not a fan of many of their sauces besides the lemon vinaigrette and I'm a big fan of sauce usually so I'm not sure what it is but I just don't like the flavors. The pitas are big enough to use two or three to eat a build your own bowl (I like to get a bowl and stuff my pitas with the bowl so it's all mixed and I can add what I want in there).
