It was sloppily put together, they really skimped on the lunch meat and the other items in the sandwich. It was more busy than I've seen, so maybe that's why. Maybe it was bc I placed the order for pick up? I'm not sure, but it really bummed me out. I still gave three stars bc I have had only great experiences before now. This location is convenient while I am at work so I have been taking advantage of their wonderful BOGOs (national sandwich day, for example). The staff is always happy to engage with the customers with a smile on their face. Those working with the food are locked in and I can honestly say that they've never messed up my order (and I only order for pickup). The place looks like a pub. Receive a coupon for a free side in app 7/27/26 Austin (Mopac) around 6:00pm, but when I ask the store staff the cashier she wasn't very knowledgeable with helping me completing my transaction. It was the worst customer service experience I ever experienced. She wasn't willing to assist me to be able to use the coupon. At one point my total was $19 for a bag of chips, cookie, skinny, and small soup with no drink! I was confused that the coupon has small print that in order to get the free side, this wasn't on the email, offer on app the qualifications only show up when you are trying to apply it in store after ordering!!! Horrible marketing, I went home without dinner!!! Very discouraging. The coupon required a larger food item, I was willing to convert my skinny to the qualified sandwich size. But she told I would have to get back in line and order a second sandwich, pay for both!!! At the end of the day I was prepared to pay, just wanted a cookie. Good consistent sandwich place and super close by which makes it easier to enjoy. The Potbelly team is super nice, attentive, and efficient. The place has bursts of traffic from Uber Eats/DoorDash, and walk-ins. Just chill and grab a table while you wait. The portion sizes vary recently but probably needing to adjust with inflation so prices do not increase dramatically. The shakes are super good too! read more

Got the barnyard sandwich and it was so freakin' tasty! Staff was super helpful even though we had no idea what we were doing as first time customers. If you download their app there is a section in the app titled underground which is a "secret" menu with some really cool sandwiches to try. Store was very clean. Ample parking all around the business. The lemonade in the separate machine to the left of the iced teas was so so soooo good and the regular iced tea wasn't bad either. The barnyard sammich has all kinds of meats on it and staff was very helpful in guiding us on some toppings and all the other tasty choices. It was nice to interact with such pleasant employees unlike some other sandwich chains which operate in Austin who have staff who can be downright flippant at times. We will absolutely be coming back here again! They have the Zapps brand of chips which are super tasty. Also had a big cooler of grab and go bottled beverages in addition to the usual fountain drinks, iced teas, and lemonade. During the current Covid19 crisis, it is still often important to catch a meal out. Errands still must happen and donations are greatly needed. So on a day we were delivering some items to charities and pet shelters we stopped by Potbelly's. They made us great sandwiches and the cleanliness of the shop and the carefulness of the staff was comforting. In the past year, we ordered Potbelly from this location for a total of 4 times (via Doordash and UberEats), and 3 out of the 4 times we ordered, we are either missing a meal combo completely or we will get the chip and drink, but no sandwich. It sounds comical, I know, but apparently it's okay for this sandwich shop to send out orders without the actual sandwich.... Most sandwich places give you the option of whether you want your sandwich heated or not. Apparently that is not the case. You get one option. Hot. I can under with some sandwiches like meatball or pastra that are best served hot. When the temperatures outside are in the triple digits I want my sandwich cold. An Italian is much better cold for example. These sandwiches are Are not cheap. It really is frustrating to realize you were sent a hot sandwich when that is not what you wanted.
