Got the barnyard sandwich and it was so freakin' tasty! Staff was super helpful even though we had no idea what we were doing as first time customers. If you download their app there is a section in the app titled underground which is a "secret" menu with some really cool sandwiches to try. Store was very clean. Ample parking all around the business. The lemonade in the separate machine to the left of the iced teas was so so soooo good and the regular iced tea wasn't bad either. The barnyard sammich has all kinds of meats on it and staff was very helpful in guiding us on some toppings and all the other tasty choices. It was nice to interact with such pleasant employees unlike some other sandwich chains which operate in Austin who have staff who can be downright flippant at times. We will absolutely be coming back here again! They have the Zapps brand of chips which are super tasty. Also had a big cooler of grab and go bottled beverages in addition to the usual fountain drinks, iced teas, and lemonade. I've eaten at Potbelly several times and I'm always pleased with the service and the food. Today I ordered pick up and my sandwich was not quite right. It was sloppily put together, they really skimped on the lunch meat and the other items in the sandwich. It was more busy than I've seen, so maybe that's why. Maybe it was bc I placed the order for pick up? I'm not sure, but it really bummed me out. I still gave three stars bc I have had only great experiences before now. This location is convenient while I am at work so I have been taking advantage of their wonderful BOGOs (national sandwich day, for example). The staff is always happy to engage with the customers with a smile on their face. Those working with the food are locked in and I can honestly say that they've never messed up my order (and I only order for pickup). The place looks like a pub. A key is needed for the bathroom by the way. I will continue to ignore the other chains for moments at Potbelly. The place has bursts of traffic from Uber Eats/DoorDash, and walk-ins. Just chill and grab a table while you wait. During the current Covid19 crisis, it is still often important to catch a meal out. Errands still must happen and donations are greatly needed. So on a day we were delivering some items to charities and pet shelters we stopped by Potbelly's. They made us great sandwiches and the cleanliness of the shop and the carefulness of the staff was comforting. If you want to eat at this location, be sure you eat there in person. Whatever you do, just make sure you don't ever place orders via delivery service. In the past year, we ordered Potbelly from this location for a total of 4 times (via Doordash and UberEats), and 3 out of the 4 times we ordered, we are either missing a meal combo completely or we will get the chip and drink, but no sandwich. It sounds comical, I know, but apparently it's okay for this sandwich shop to send out orders without the actual sandwich....
