The service is alright meaning the workers being friendly and they get the lines moving during busy hours. However when Potbelly has a bogo deal they get sloppy with the sandwich. There have been multiple times where I ordered an avocado turkey sandwich and they barely give me any avocado simply because it's a BOGO day. Customer service is the least of this location's concerns. You can definitely tell there has been a change/turn over in staff because there is a level of rudeness that is completely unnecessary (which was not present pre-pandemic). Most Potbelly locations open in the early mornings, not this establishment. They open at 10am. On 12/27/21, I was "welcomed" (using this term loosely) by female staff members at 10:47am shouting, "we not open yet!" When I asked why if the sign says, you open at 10 am and it's almost 11am? She rolled her eyes and stated, "we are just getting here because they had to cut the locks off!" One particular staff member looked at me as if I was wrong for even asking why they were not open. Due to the response, circumstances and temperament of staff, I requested the number for corporate 3 times and was ignored. Today during lunch rush, the lights cut off. It was bad enough prior to the lights cutting off, most of the focus was not on the customers in line, but other orders (assuming preorders or UberEats). There is definitely some retraining that needs to occur in this Potbelly location/staff members. It's disappointing that this is how they are treating customers in this particular establishment these days! read more

I ordered a tuna sandwich from potbelly in chatham. I ordered everything add hot peppers and the sandwich was prepared totally wrong. They only put hot peppers! This potbelly location has the worse service(minus one tall guy who has been there for a while). The people who work here have no customer service skills. I love some potbelly but today I was truly disappointed in this location. I was excited to go as I've been before but was let down slightly by the service given. First the guy making the sandwich was sweet and accommodating as I have allergies and truly allergic to any mayo contamination. He was very helpful. He is the reason for 2 stars. I placed my order and the girl who was supposed to make the sandwich for me kind of had an attitude about having to wash hands and get clean knife so she took over the guy making sandwich I guess not to assist me. The guy was like cool and was helpful and followed my allergy instructions which I'm grateful for. Anyway I get to the place to pay and I tell the cashier what I had ordered and she hands me my shake which was about 6/8th full. I was like where is the rest of the shake she was like that is how corporate does it now. I was like no it's not I've gotten shakes from other Potbellys and didn't have the shortage. They ignored my niece when she was ordering, acting as if she was not standing there. Told me that I said I ordered the wrong size drink. Um, to my knowledge, there was only one size for a milkshake. I had no clue that saying, what I thought was a flavor of ice cream, Strawberry Short Cake, would give me such a problem. Could have been easily solved, but nope. Solid sandwich place with a variety of choices for all eaters. I had the Mediterranean sandwich with your choice of fixings (ie: tomatoes, lettuce, mayo, mustard, vinegarette, etc) on a wheat bread. I liked the toasted bread. The flavor of the sandwich was okay. Didn't get a chance to try the shakes or the cookies since I heard that they were good. Location was in a newer shopping center. I don't recommend going here unless you want to be greeted with an attitude problem or someone potentially messingup your order. I would come here after I Fitness working out at the nearby Planet Fitness, on my off day. There would always be this one guy kept greeting as if it was an issue for me coming there, I ignored until the day I made this post, note, it's been three months since I started eating here. Another issue had was one instance where another guy messed up my order. My mom asked me to get her an Italian sandwich, with light onions. What she got was a sandwich with no cheese, and Giardiniera peppers. From this day forward I will find somewhere else to eat after my off day workout. read more

Never order from this potbelly. If you arder though a app and they are sold out of an item they only give you 3.5 seconds to replace the item instead of the ten minutes the app offers. Their customer service and delivery time is horrible. The first time I ordered I had to call twice to see how much longer my order would be. When it did go out the driver left it at the wrong address and then tried to tell me that I entered my address wrong. Which I did not. They did send out another order which took another 45 minutes. The second time I ordered at 10:45 for an 11:30 delivery. Waited until 12:15 to call and check on the order and no one answered. Called 3 more times up until 12:45 still no answer. Now my order is over an hour wait and there is no way to cancel online. If you guys are not going to do your job then you should remove delivery as an option. This is the worst Potbelly's location I've been too thus far. There were at least 5 service reps behind the counter, but service was extremely slow. The cashier was extremely slow and my salad was subpar. Each location I've visited in the loop area provided a hearty salad full of greens and other ingredients. My media salad didn't have enough lettuce and the container was only about 1/4 full. The only reason I didn't say anything was because I was tired of waiting. This location has definitely gone down in service. I have been going to this location for years and this evening I had a bad experience. I ordered my meal through potbelly.com at 5:32pm. I reached out to the store three times to see why I hadn't received my order. It was supposed to be delivered at 6:10 PM but by 7 PM I hadn't received my order. So the young lady that I spoke to concluded that my driver must've stole my order. They proceeded to make me another order and sent it out. Because they are partnered with door Dash that is the service they use for delivery. My second driver calls me and informs me they gave him the wrong address but honestly the address was correct he just seems like he didn't know where he was going. He eventually gets to my house at 8:14 PM with only one out of the three items I ordered. I call the store to speak to a manager so I can receive a refund. The young man tells me that I would have to contact door dash because he knows that he personally gave all my items to the driver. I proceeded to say in a very frustrated tone that I ordered through you all and not door dash so I need my refund from you. He says ok after some back-and-forth and then informs me that it will take 3 to 5 business days and then says either way door dash was going to pay them (in a very snarky way). I am not one to take it advantage or lie and mistreat people. I was patient, understanding and nice throughout the entire mishap until I spoke to the manager. I was angry because he didn't seem to care and after all my understanding and waiting my order was still wrong and the food I did receive tastes horrible. If I have a taste for Potbelly's in the future I will from now on go to the Hyde park location instead of this one. read more

One of the best Potbelly's my girlfriend has even been to - and she's been to a lot. Mmmhmm. Sandwiches are spot on, salads are fresh and tasty, plus their milkshakes are delicious. This neighborhood needs more diverse (and most importantly delicious) fast food like it. read more

I come to this potbelly's all the time for lunch. It is a busy location and it is definitely no walk in and out. Be prepared to spend at least 10-15 minutes here. I recently pre ordered through the app for the second time. I had a bad experience the first time, there was nobody there (customers) i walk in to get my sandwich and they apparently had never made it, all the employees were in the back room. I decided to give the app another try and this time I actually arrived a few min after I was supposed to pick up my sandwich. Once again the sandwich wasn't ready yet. I waited approximately 15 minutes after I arrived there. The lady at the front apologized and gave me a free cookie. While I appreciate that she did that, this location is clearly under staffed. Potbelly's please work on hiring more employees, your sandwiches are great but during lunchtime nobody has time to wait so long for a simple sandwich. read more

The food and the customer service is usually wonderful, that was with the previous staff. However, the young man making the sandwiches this evening was rude, unprofessional and very disrespectful. I've never experience the disrespect nor have I ever been cursed at by an employee at this location about cutting my sandwich in thirds.
