Please listen to what I'm about to say. I found my home today. Walked into an amazingly cozy restaurant. Didn't have any expectations at all. Genuinely the most amazing sandwich I've ever had. i would describe it as finding a lost piece of yourself and finally feeling whole. My life has changed. I will never go back to Jimmy Johns. I only wish those reading this could experience a teaspoon of the wonder that Potbelly has brought me. Shoutout Dylan, my favorite employee ever. Sandwich was fine but we were overcharged. We questioned the cost and management was very rude about correcting the charges. We did get some of the refund but didn't care for the rude treatment. No tables were clean even though we arrived early for lunch (11am). read more

I felt compelled to write a review because although I frequent Potbelly often, this was the best sandwich I've ever had from there. I felt it was made well, organized, and HOT! I should have known when in the dinner rush hours there were no customers. It was freezing cold when I walked in from outside in the low 70's. I asked the cashier if the air conditioner was on. "uh huh" was my answer and I told him it is very cold in here and got another "uhhuh ". I ordered the meatball,.....so bland I thought I was eating an unseasoned hamburger. My wife got the " steak", which looked like it came from Arby's only with less meat. We ate in the car because it was so cold. Sandwiches. You want a good one that isn't soggy, great bread and the proportion to meat is right on. I got tired of Jersey Mike's, Firehouse and Quiznos so I went looking for something new and found this place. The first time I had it I got the chicken salad which was good but not super flavorful. The bread was nice and crusty though which I like. Second time I got the Italian which was much more flavorful. It's your typical Italian sub but they do it well. I'd just add a little less mayo. The best part of this place though is the freaking chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. Jesus those are the best things I've ever eaten! They are soft, chewy and chocolatey. Get like 5 bags when you go cuz you'll want some for later. read more

First time coming in to try Potbelly Sandwiches and I was pleased. I saw you can order online for pick-up which is really convenient! I had the Mediterranean Sandwich with Chicken. All the veggies and hummus were cold and fresh. The sandwich was much more filling than I anticipated. I tried the Mac & Cheese too! It was white cheddar - so sharp and creamy, yum! After my meal I was intrigued by their shakes. I tried the Coffee Shake. You can get it caffeinated or decaffeinated, which is nice. It was around 3 o'clock when I went, so I didn't want to be up all night but I wanted that coffee taste. And it comes with a cookie around the straw :) read more

Don't know what is going on with this Potbelly, but my goodness it doesn't seem well run. Previous time I went in I'd ordered ahead and... nothing was ready. Big group of people waiting around the cash register (never a good sign) while sandwiches tumbled around at the end of the conveyor belt. Ended up waiting 20 mins, before they discovered that the sandwich had been made all along. Finally gave them a try again after a couple months, walked in, and... no one is behind the counter. Mind you this was 5:30 dinner time on a weekday. So wait a while. And a while more. Thought about leaving, but then got curious just how long this could go on for. Finally, a woman with a bridge piercing wandered out from the back. Doesn't say sorry, kind of shoots a look that says don't say anything, I really don't care -- and just grumpily takes the order. Eventually a second worker came out, asked the same toppings questions as the first, and finished the sandwich. It was pretty tasty, though. So strange, they used to have the nicest workers at this location. They're definitely losing out on business, so if I was the franchisee I'd be pretty unhappy, but there's other sandwich shops around. read more

After 4 months of coming back at random times I found out rude employee has left. Now there's a staff full of people who are asking questions along the way making sure they get it right. Today a new staff wasn't sure how to package our order so they asked the Mgr!!! This place is clean & easy to get in and out of. Smoothies are so yummy & I love the small size too! Much improved in a short amount of time. Thank you. If you continue to charge me for a bigs when I order an original I'm turning you into the city & state for fraud. Good food but often busy. I tire of every place I go offering a rewards program. Location is too far from Parker to visit often.

I've only been here twice, and twice didn't get the food I ordered. Mutime I order two soups and a sandwich. They gave me the wrong soup. I just went there today and grabbed some food to go. I got all they way back to work and I didn't get my soups at all. That's the only thing I order for lunch and now I have to go without and STARVE! I'm so mad at this point. I called 15 Times to ask if they could give me a refund so I wouldn't have to drive all the way back, and the calls go to a generic voicemail. On top of that, I wasn't even given a receipt. I WILL NEVER GO BACK! UPDATE: They delivered my lunch to me an hour or so later. And I got a free cookie. I was super hungry. So thanks for that. read more

Checking in on Potbelly a few weeks after they opened to see how things "settled down" after the initial adrenalin rush was over. GM Laura greeted me by name again and gave me extra special service. This time I had their "Wreck" sandwich - salami, roast beef, swiss cheese and a handful of other ingredients. I was asked how many of about 10 optional ingredients I wanted; I opted for light mayo, Italian seasoning and the "hot pepper mix", which is jalapenos diced up with some other things. It really pulls the "Wreck" together into something shipshape. Just my .05. I also grabbed a "Dream Bar" - which looks like a densely packed "brownie"-ish confection -- except it's not totally chocolate. Don't think it's a blondie, will have to report back later on how that was. The place was sparkling clean, tables were cleaned promptly and there was always someone "scanning" around for spots to clean. He'd make a good Robocop. Potbelly also have delivery action going on now, which is probably going to help them in the long run. The one issue I did have was with their wi-fi. It shows up on my phone as full strength, but switching to it (repeated attempts) made my Pandora drop out, inform me my "wi-fi connection was unstable", and wouldn't let me pan through my Yelp reviews. Not sure if it's my phone or the network, but it was a little problematical, especially since the place is a signal sinkhole where if you're lucky you'll get 3G. But I'm not rating this place on its reception qualities, I'm rating it on taste, service, cleanliness and value...and I don't see any reason to really dock them a star...so once again, they merit 5 stars. I think their average is gonna pull up to 4 stars over time, once the 2 reviews with 0 friends, 5 reviews or less a piece and 0 check-ins get filtered out...(but that's pure conjecturing on my part). read more

I'm not sure if this is an independently owned shop or a or a chain. It really has the feeling of a chain trying it's best to appear local. You know the vibe, pictures of old Colorado on the walls, old school fake wallpaper, giant cans of canned tomatoes on display that makes you think that either they ran out of storage space, or that they shop at a local mom's and pop's store and couldn't pass up the deal of the day on giant canned tomatoes. However it's not about the vibe, it's about the food. Which was just super ok. I got the mediterranean sandwich and had to pay a dollar extra for these really tiny chunks of chicken. My totally was close to nine dollars for a tiny super ok sandwich. Honestly I could have gone to subways and gotten a way better deal. One could argue that potbellies uses fresher ingredients. But for what I got at this place, I'll take quantity over quality any day. Subway eat fresh! read more

Once upon a time I used to live near the original Potbelly. (It's not plural!!). And now, many years later, I see that it followed me west! After all this time, the Wreck remains my favorite, I like the shakes, and I sometimes crave the ice cream sandwiches. The only real problem I have with this location is the temperature of the restaurant. It's freezing every time I'm here and it makes it super uncomfortable where I either need to sit outside or take it to go. This needs to get fixed! read more

Made my first and only visit to the shop in Denver, University Hills. Staff was so unfocused on my order. Noone else was even in the shop. I ordered an Italian sandwich. The meat was so thin and only two small pieces. They left off the cheese. I asked for it and they only gave me one pice when there are 2 types of cheese supposed to be on this sandwich. So I went there for my first time today. When I was there the staff was experiencing a Karen customer. She was yelling and throwing a fit over mustard and how they cut her sandwich. So I told her to chill the **** out. Her husband and son didn't even try to defend her because they knew she was loosing it and probably does it often. So sad. I mean it's a sandwich grow up. I had a really crappy day, my car died and it was the first day back to class of this new semester (Hello stress, oh how I've missed you!). My husband and I decided to grab dinner while we were waiting for the tow truck and stopped at this Potbelly shop. The two employees working were so friendly and generous, it really turned my day around (as much as it could!). The sandwiches were delicious! I had the roast beef which was super duper tasty and my husband had the Mediterranean. We also had some Mac and cheese. Oh my dear it was outstanding! Creamy, cheesy, and delicious... just what I want when I want Mac and cheese. Serious comfort food. They kindly gave me a cookie after I mentioned my crappy day and my eyes welled up (I don't handle stress or broken down cars very well). No joke, it's probably the best sugar cookie I've ever had! The crunchy bits of sugar and the It may have been a relatively small thing to give me a cookie, but the generosity and kindness they showed me made my day a lot brighter. read more

This place is awesome! One of my coworkers was ecstatic that a location opened up in metro Denver, so we tried it out for lunch. Their food is like any sandwich you would expect from Subway or Quizno's, with the bonus that they toast the majority of their sandwiches as a standard. Their shakes are satisfying and proportioned well so they won't make you feel sick to your stomach. Even though there was a line when we went in, they got us through the line in a jiffy without making us feel rushed. If you have a sweet tooth, be sure to pick up a Chocolate Brownie cookie. It is to die for. I may or may not have blocked off a half hour of my day just to savor it... Their catering service is amazing, as well. I ordered from them for a lunch meeting and offered a small window so I could sneak out and bring the food in, and they delivered on the dot. It was a large order so the delivery man helped me bring the food up and although the meeting was on-going, he was very courteous about unpacking everything quietly and sneaking out without distracting everyone. Their service, both in the store and out, is superb, and that is what will keep me coming back. read more

So good! The food is thoughtfully prepared, fresh & delicious! I haven't been to a Pot Belly in years, but decided to go cause I remembered it being pretty tasty. I also had a rewards kickback from my purchase that was expiring soon & I'm glad I went back! I got 2 of the pick your pair options. I wanted leftovers & to get a few things to try. I got a "skinny" chicken club sandwich. It's small, but it's filling. The bread is crusty on the outside & soft on the inside. Super flavorful! I got 2 cups of soup. The chicken pot pie & the broccoli cheddar. Both were awesome, but the pot pie soup was the clear favorite. Then I got a small chicken salad salad where they put a scoop of their chicken salad on top of fresh field greens, grape tomatoes, cucumber & cranberries with your choice of dressing. It was a lot of food. Pre-tax & tip, it was about $20. In this economic climate, that's a pretty great deal. Around $20 fed me 2-3 times. This place is the bomb. Seriously, this is my go to for Friday nights when my fridge is empty and I've worked all day and don't want to cook. They are super quick and inexpensive. I always get the "lil tuna" which is like a regular tuna sandwich but it's a bit less meat and they scoop some of the bread out. I'm a very small person so this normally fills me up and then some. It's also only $4 and some change. My boyfriend is a big fan of "a wreck" sandwich. The best part about Potbelly's? The hot peppers. They are soooo good. Do yourself a favor a get them added to your sandwich. Warning: they are pretty spicy so beware! Also, the bread is fantastic. Perfectly crusty. Oh and the big pickles. I always get one since they are only $1. We've been coming to this location specifically for almost a year now and the staff is always super friendly, quick, and they get our order right every time. read more

I love this chain but on a recent trip to new store near Home Depot the manager was so rude had four friendd with me otherwise I would have walked out. Fantastic employees here. I went in (a little on the late side) and ordered a meatball sub. The employee told me they were out of meatballs for the day but gave me a free cookie for the inconvenience. Some things never taste like home. :( I'm from Chicago, so I almost fell over when I saw the Potbelly sign on the window! I went in and ordered my usual A Wreck and chocolate malt. My chocolate malt didn't have malt, so I had to reorder that. Kind of an easy/silly mistake. Also, this is small, but they don't put the little flower cookies on the malts, even though it's in the pics on the ordering board. That's how I've remembered it from home. I ordered everything on the sandwich but hot peppers; there isn't any oil and seasoning on this at all. I don't have the time to order another one. The sandwich overall just doesn't have the oomph as back home. Feels like more condiments than meat/cheese. Not really happy to say that I might not be back. read more

Sandwiches are decent but the employees are beyond rude and miserable, whether interacting via phone or in person. I've never seen a group of people that seem to hate their jobs so much, and hate customers. I mentioned to one of them how my Mediterranean sandwich always has chicken on it, even though I order it without, and the employee proceeds to scream at me about how corporate re-did the menu and the app is screwed up and I need to make better notes on my order. After hearing great things about this sandwich shop, I was finally in the area and ready to give it a try. The sandwich itself was not huge, but a good size for a normal sized human being. And for only $4.95 after tax, it was even better. And the most important part... It tasted wonderful! I asked if they could substitute the lettuce with Spinach and the guy was more than happy to run in the back and grab some Spinach to put on my salad. I got all of the other toppings on my sandwich as well and I don't regret it one bit! The peppers were hot enough to taste but not hot enough to ruin the flavor of the sandwich. This was my first time trying Potbelly, and I did not have a positive experience. At first all was well, I was picking up an order for 8 and delivering lunch to a large client of mine. The ordering process went smooth, and my food was ready at the time we agreed on when I placed my order. When I arrived however, I wasn't greeted by anyone behind the counter but rather stood there while an employee took a phone order without even looking me in the eyes. When I asked another employee if he could help me, he said he would go grab someone who could... After waiting a couple of minutes (and watching this employee talk on the phone) a man came up to help but was having difficulty 'logging in' to the POS system. After 5-6 minutes of standing there I told him I had already paid for me food and was just here to pick up my bag and go. He tracked down my order and sent me on my way, which at this point would have warranted 4 stars. However when I arrived at my destination I realized they had forgotten one of the lunch orders (just so happened to be my clients wife's salad, great). I called and spoke with the same gentleman who gave me my food, and confirmed that they had forgotten a salad. I told him what a huge meeting this was, and how I needed the missing salad delivered ASAP. He informed me that they couldn't be there with the salad for 2 HOURS because there were other deliveries scheduled in front of me. I asked, "did you screw there orders up also?!" He apologized and said he would move me up the list and get it delivered as soon as possible. Two hours later, still no salad delivery. I finally received word at 3pm from my client (I picked my order up at 11:45) that the salad arrived. Not a good look for me, will not use again! read more

I don't want to seem like 3 stars is bad here, but to me these sandwiches are a solid good. Not better, not worse. I like that they're quick, and customer service has always been great. Nice to have some dessert options too. I'll frequent this place because it's close and the price is right, but the sandwiches to me are nothing extraordinary. Solidly in the wide range of a snarfs, firehouse, which wich, etc. Better than subway, but not out of this world.
