Walking in, I had to try really hard not to spend all of my hard earned money in the curiosities shop. There you can find everything from handmade bath bombs, beauty and hair products (made by Sarah herself!) to jewelry, candles, hoodies and even antiques. The salon space has locally made artwork on the walls, is really open, comfortable and immaculately clean. Since the stylists are all friends, the environment is really welcoming and playful and not stuffy like a lot of salons. Sarah does an incredible job cutting and coloring my hair. She has an eye for funky colors and pays great attention to detail, not only with color but also with styling. It's not an exaggeration that every time I go in I tell her to do whatever she wants and after getting it done, I get so many compliments on my hair! She's done everything from a little pink and purple to rainbow streaks to mermaid colors and it always comes out beautifully. Sarah cuts my husband's hair as well and I can attest to the fact that she's also skilled at cutting men's hair. I personally can't speak for the other ladies, but I'm sure they're wonderful as well. If you're close-by, you should do yourself a favor and stop in to either buy something fun in the shop or treat yourself with a new cut or fun color. Her shampoos and conditioners leave my hair so soft even with all of the color treatments that I have done to my hair. Sarah knows how to take care of hair so it does not dryout and/or break. I highly recommend her if you are considering coloring your hair, or just having it cut. In her shop she has wonderful items. I buy her lotions and soaps. Sarah has other artists items in her store, it is wonderful. Each time I go and get my hair done I find unique items that find a home with me from her shop.

She was calm and patient and kind to our son, who was definitely nervous, but made the experience so much easier for him. Xsalonce is a smaller salon that currently has two employees, the owner and a stylist & makeup artist, Virginia. My appointment was with Virginia. She is super sweet and really listened to what I was asking for. My wash was wonderful, I almost fell asleep! Virginia has a gentle touch and explains everything as she goes. I instantly felt comfortable putting my head in her hands! She uses ammonia free hair color, which is an added bonus. She also talked me through my cut and made the changes that I requested.
