Single player here and not looking to join a league, but let me share my experience with this store. Jim and Mike were working. I had already had a price in my head with what I wanted to spend. They offer a package deal for around $170, but because I wanted a little better ball, I was able to upgrade for a little more. My finger measurements were accurate, I was in and out in less than an hour. But I really enjoyed talking to these two gentlemen. They aren't trying to upsell you with stuff you don't need. They have a passion for bowling and it shows. If you think you can get a better deal on Amazon, you are wrong. You won't get the service that you would at the store. You would still have to bring your ball in for them to drill, so whatever you think you saved, you would actually he in the negative with all costs combined. This store has everything a bowler needs! Not to mention the experience and dedication that Jim and Mike showed me. There is a reason customers make long drives to come here. They offer great hours and are usually closed only on Sundays, but check for holidays as they might close also. The only small downside is the parking lot is tight and not a lot of spots, but with the service, who cares? Another small thing, they didn't send me home with a shoe box, a bowling bowl box and the bowling bag wasn't in plastic. Everything was put together for me, like I could head right to the bowling alley. I'll only use this shop for my bowling needs! Thanks Jim and Mike !

The check-in, arcade, bowling, dining, and bar experience are the same. I normally visit during off-peak hours to avoid the crowds. I've driven by on Friday and Saturday nights to crowds I would never brave. When I visit, it is normally shortly after open, anticipating relatively quick check-in and food service. My visits are normally accompanied by kids, so my expectations are tempered and the experience is enjoyable because the kids are pleased. The food variety and quality is typical of contemporary bowling alley fare and so are the prices. I appreciate the option to order soft drinks by the pitcher for groups. I've hosted birthday parties here and attended some as a guest; all of which were good experiences. On multiple occasions I've experienced having to stay on top of my server, more than I wanted to, simply because of inattentiveness. I've never made a big deal of it considering my primary reason for visiting isn't the food, however, visiting earlier in the day is strategic for the purpose of hopefully receiving a better food service experience under lighter foot traffic. Street parking is available and so are parking garages within walking distance, however, I am disappointed that on many occasions I've witnessed the workers here occupy some of the limited street parking located near the Lucky Strike entrance. Overall, a good experience and I will visit again.

Overall, it was a seamless experience with just a few bumps. 1) Check-In: On a busy weekday during a popular week off in between Christmas and New Years, they had one person working the front. There was a small hiccup that needed a manager approval. Despite the worker, who handled the crowd well, calling for a manager over and over again, the manager didn't come for 15-20 minutes as the line grew longer. 2) Arcade: Most of the games are rip offs and short change you. In one of the claw games, it grabbed two rolls of tickets for 20, but it gave me only 10 points on my card. A few games took my card credit without letting me play. 3) Bowling: That was easy and fun! The balls and shoes are clean and the lanes well maintained. 4) Food: The menu is full of unhealthy food and drinks, but the kids loved the cheese pizza kids deal that comes with a drink and fries. For the arcade, we got a Groupon deal, which was easy to redeem. Parking can be hard to find in the area and expect to pay.

Food: bar food, fried, unhealthy but party worthy Lane quality: the one we were originally assigned to #15 was not working and moved to 13 Service: check in and shoe service was great, but the lady at the bar was a little harsh speaking, given it was our first time there, I wasn't aware that WE HAVE TO order all of our drinks through our waiter, so I went to the bar ordered two drink drinks and was harshly told I cannot add it to my tab , so I walked away & ...:-( ... about 20min later the drinks were brought over by our waiter ‍ Price: we paid about $100 for 5 ppl for 1 lane of 2 he with shoes, and over $100 for a mixed platter with 4 drinks, not bad for the bowling part, a bit pricey for the food and drinks. Will return & hope to receive a better servive from the bar side.

Lane broke 6 times--for my party of 6 people we did six frames in 1.5 hrs. Almost every other lane was in use and working. They never moved us to unused lanes even though I had to walk up to the counter every time. EVEN AN EMPLOYEE who wasn't on the clock and playing in a lane next to us tried to help. 2. Constantly played highly sexual hip hop music videos even though there were tons of kids. 3. We ordered food but after it never came, we asked for a refund, were given 3 free game vouchers each and then we left. Never finished the 1st game. I love bowling, last summer I came all the time with a season pass. Same management and employees after 6 months, but it's just not a good bowling alley. It's meant for parties and food. Obviously very disappointed, not wanting to go back, but need to use the free games vouchers to make it worth the money we spent.

For the history nerds, there are two bowling alleys on The White House campus. The one this refers…read moreto is the Truman Bowling Alley. It was once inside the actual White House, but was moved to the Old Executive Office Building in 1955. (The original room that housed it is now the Situation Room.) There is still a bowling alley inside the actual White House, but that was built as a single-lane bowling alley in the 1970s under the Nixon Administration. The Nixon Bowling Alley isn't accessible to more White House staff, but the Truman Bowling Alley is! If you get the coveted invitation to the Truman Bowling Alley, go! Like all White House visits, you'll need to fill out a form beforehand that will get you past two security areas. (The second is like going through airport security.) The Truman Bowling Alley is in the basement of the Old Executive Office Building with clearly marked signs. Once in the basement, you'll walk through a no-frills hallway that feels more like a Cold War-era bunker. Step inside the bowling alley into a small kitchenette area with a display telling the Truman Bowling Alley's history. There's a wall of shoes for bowlers with a spray bottle to disinfect the shoes before putting them back. The back room is where you'll find two bowling lanes with one area with all kinds of balls and two electronic boards to input each bowlers' names and for keeping score. There are TV screens on the wall nearby that call out spares, strikes, etc. You can even take a photo of your group from the screen that is projected onto the TV screen. The room has photos of U.S. Presidents and guests bowling throughout the decades and a few seats along the side. The space is pretty tight. The lanes themselves come with pins attached to strings. It's a nice, fun, and special bowling alley. If you get invited, more meetings to go!
