He said you are correct. Appreciated the answer and I left. 2 stars overall to the employee and it looked nice down there. -3 stars for not having the employees in the kitchen to keep up. For those unfamiliar, the complex has three setups: the 18-hole Blue Course (regulation length where you can take a cart), the 9-hole White Course (an executive mix of par 3s and 4s), and the 9-hole Red Course, which is a walking-only par-3 loop. They also have a busy two-tier driving range and plenty of flat putting areas. If you are brand new to the game and do not have your own set yet, they make it easy by letting you borrow clubs, making it a very welcoming entry point for beginners. We played the Red Course on a Saturday morning ($20/person) and ran into some serious pacing hiccups. After starting about 15 minutes past our 8:00 AM tee time, we ended up waiting on literally every hole, dragging a short 9-hole walk out to an hour and a half. The compact routing is also pretty dicey safety-wise--the tee boxes sit right next to the greens, and we nearly took stray balls to the face twice, so you really have to keep your head on a swivel. Conditions were rough around the edges with mostly flat greens, rock-hard sand in the bunkers after the previous night's rain, bird droppings all over the grounds, and a main clubhouse building that feels noticeably run-down. Despite the rough shape, the setting is hard to beat. Being right on the water at Hains Point with planes flying overhead, cyclists looping the park, and The Wharf right across the river for post-round lunch gives it a great local vibe. There has been a lot of talk and planning around major overhauls and restorations for the course through the National Park Service and National Links Trust, and it honestly desperately needs that refresh. If the planned renovations eventually bring the drainage, clubhouse, and course layouts up to standard, this place could easily become a world-class municipal gem. For now, it is a fun, casual spot for a cheap practice round as long as you know what to expect.

It's $2 to bowl a game/person, and $2.75 to rent shoes. Dare you to find a better deal in the DC area. The food isn't spectacular but again you shouldn't be expecting anything Tom Sietsema would write home about. We've gotten snacks here before and really I'd only recommend 1) beer and 2) sweet potato fries. There are leagues that bowl here so make sure you call in advance to make sure there are open lanes!

I attended for our employee summer event, and our team had such a great time. I have to give a major shoutout to Filipe (I hope I'm spelling his name correctly). He and his team took such great care of us and he was incredibly friendly throughout the event. Honestly, I would come back just because of the amazing service he provided. The food was great as well. We had pre-selected menu items that included signature wings, tenderloin sliders, Margherita and pepperoni flatbreads, Caprese sliders, feta and spinach stuffed phyllo, and pesto chicken skewers. Everything was flavorful and definitely hit the spot after some friendly competition with my coworkers. Pinstripes has a lot to offer, and I'll definitely be back. They have so many events happening, from happy hours to Music Bingo, and I believe they also host live bands. I signed up for four weeks of beginner golf lessons and had a pretty cool experience!…read more It was a bit challenging for me to figure out a day of the week where I would have no schedule conflicts for a consecutive 4 weeks. The vision is that each class builds upon past lessons and also introduces you to a new skill (putting, chipping, driving etc) Enrolling during the summer definitely meant that we experienced some scorching hot temps, but surprisingly there are little pockets of shade out there that would somehow make things bearable. My instructor was Phil who I tended to vibe with (probably because I grew up with coaches and can follow instruction.) He's pretty direct and could sometimes come off a little impatient, but if you understand his personality it's harmless and actually funny. Ultimately, he wants you to learn and enjoy the game and is very supportive when he witnesses your progress. It was nice to be able to stay after lessons sometimes just to hit at the range and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area. If you're on the fence about lessons, I can attest that Play DCGolf is a great place to start!

We had enough instruction time, and alone time to practice in our own bays. Not needing clubs was a plus, as I hadn't committed to getting some at this point. They have disinfected loaners available to you if you need. The golf course/ driving range is nice, the instructor was a great instructor, and the classes were well structured. Thinking about taking the level 2 at some point! Highly recommend.

What a fun group activity! Located along M Street NW in Georgetown, the building houses escape…read morerooms and a game experience. My group of six did the "Curse of the Mummy" escape room. We had one hour to escape and it took us 36 minutes to complete it! Our eight-year-old daughter had a blast! Another fun element is the lobby is filled with games from Connect Four to Battleship. So fun!
