Had a great time on a Thursday evening at Pinstripes! We came during happy hour and ordered a few beers, the pretzel bites, the sliders, and later had the hummus and the fries. I think the happy hour menu is all phenomenal. $5 beers and $10 food? I'm not sure you can find that many other places. The sliders were excellent and I would highly recommend them. The pretzel bites were very similar to ones you'd find at the mall. The hummus was plentiful and healthy. I'd skip the fries next time, but that's just me! Service was friendly and prompt. Definitely an excellent date night!

This was such a cool place. I brought a student travel group there - 30 people total. We had our own private room and they served us food family style. We had pasta and pizza. Once we finished eating we had one hour to play a game of bowling. We got three lanes to play. It was one of the best nights of our trip.

I'll leave a positive note! Although I'm still confused whether to consider Pinstripes as a restaurant? Bar? I was impressed by the quality of service and how spacious the entire space was. I went here for a reception and although the food quality was what you expect at a place like this, the employees were super nice and I had a great time.

Came to bowl, have drinks and light bites and catch up with a friend! The service was good, very quick and attentive, the ambiance was fun and lively yet chill and elevated. A great meet up place and I loved the general area of this location! Also not pictured were fries and sweet chili wings! Great flavor and portion! I really enjoyed the cook and size of the calamari and my drink was great! Would definitely be back

*****Happy hour review***** Stopped by for HH before attending an event upstairs at Pinstripes. Had about 10 minutes until HH ended and our bartender/waiter was on it! They have quite a few tables around the bar and stools lining the bar itself. Ordered a glass of pinot grigio ($5) and the chicken avocado club flatbread ($10), which were both great deals. My glass of wine was quite refreshing and the pour was generous. I really enjoyed the flatbread (glad I listened to our waiter and didn't get the pizza version). It was perfectly crispy (not too crunchy) and came topped with a decent amout of bacon, avocado, roasted onions, and tomatoes. I also tried some of the crispy calamari (pretty good) and truffle fries ( this was a no - too crispy and not enough truffle). Pinstripes is overall a good place to head to for HH when in Georgetown.

They accommodated our large ~20 person party very well. Our server was great and handled everyone's food and drink orders well. Food can be hit or miss though, I actually really enjoyed the pepperoni pizza, but another friend thought her pasta dish was quite bland and didn't want to finish it. We didn't play any games but bowling and bocce are available.

Pinstripes is by far is one of THE best Brunch spots in DC! We have absolutely pleased whenever we have gone. They have a wide variety of food, seating has always been available and the price point is one of the best! I'll be checking them out again soon.

Food and drinks were good but the prices were a bit steep for the portion sizes. Predominantly the calamari. We got maybe 10 pieces for $18. The flatbread $18 with just chunks of tomato and cheese. My lemon martini was great. Overall the food is good but the prices are a bit high in my opinion.

We had a great little afternoon here! The food was pretty good. It's definitely a more expensive bowling experience. I was comparing it a lot to top golf in how it's designed!

We had a great time at Pinstripes! The food was delicious and the bowling was a blast. Our server could use some improvement, but overall, it was a fantastic outing. Would definitely recommend!

Gabriel was our waiter. He went above and beyond. Amazing job for Mother's Day. 100/100. I will be coming back. Next time I will be bringing my kids

    Late night happy hour menu

The idea of late night happy hour is awesome. I mean $5 glasses of wine and draft beer is a really good deal! And $5 bowling and bocce? Amazing! But the food is less than ideal and the service during "late hours" is slow. I was very happy with my wine and truffle fries. You get a large portion, though $12 is a bit much. But nonetheless! The margherita flatbread wasn't great. And we waited quite a long time for it too. Just a lot of tomato and because the flatbread wasn't fully cooked, everything came off the second you picked up a slice. Like a soggy mess. Our service was fine. We had to go to the bar and we asked if we could go to the high tops. We were told sure. So we went to the high top and finally after waiting 15 minutes we gave up and sat at the bar. I know the bartender was cleaning up and wanting to leave, but it was 8:30 and they close at 10. I totally get it--I've been in service! But at the same time, we knew what we wanted and would be no trouble. I mean even the other guy at the bar commented on how slow service was despite the fact that the place was extremely empty. So that's slightly frustrating--but I'm happy to yap and talk for awhile so I didn't think much on it. But if you want quick service, *late night happy hour* might not be the ideal time. Ambiance and vibes were fine. Next time I'll only come for the drinks and the $5 bowling--which again is an awesome deal! I think their deals are awesome but if no one is willing to keep up with these deals, it might be a waste.

We had great family fun for our first experience here. I actually came here with my girlfriend and her two young nieces, and we had a super experience with everything. This is definitely the most high end bowling alley that I've ever been to. The fact that they have a full bar, as well as, a high end restaurant that features a buffett makes this bowling alley uniquely different. The only thing missing would be an extensive playground for kids. We spent the majority of our two hours strictly in the bowling alley. We had our own snacks, but we really would have loved to try out the buffet. We came on a Sunday and there really weren't that many people, I think about two thirds of the lanes were being used. The restaurant and the bar also had very few customers. I wouldn't mind checking out this place on a Saturday night.

The ribeye and New York strip were very good. The butchers steak I got for my son and he didn't really like it, it was lacking flavor. If you do anything when you go, please make sure to get the biscuits. Hands down THE BEST BISCUITS I've ever had lol. They are the most flaky and buttery biscuits, you can count each layer that these have. Pro tip is to ask for butter and the house made jam. The pimento cheese is good with them but it becomes a little too decadent. Overall I'm happy we made the decision to come here, we will be back soon.

The curry itself had a wee bit of spice and was a bit sweet - but that could have been from the sweet potatoes. The chicken was served in a bowl on the side, which felt a bit... odd... We were sat in the solarium area, and it was during the heat dome, and it was really warm in there. Otherwise, though, it's completely charming inside and reminds us of some of the best French bistros we've been to in the country (e.g. Balzathar, Le Supreme). The three cocktails we tried--the frose, le jardin, and the clouseau--were all stunners. And of course the bread deserves another special mention, *especially* the room temperature butter. Thank you for not serving hard as hell butter! We shared the warm shrimp salad to start, and for $31, we were expecting more than a few avocado slices and 4 shrimp on it, but c'est la vie. The dressing was incredible, and the greens were crunchy. That's actually the only dish of the night that we thought was unfairly overpriced. One of us ordered the burger and the other got the rabbit pappardelle--you've got to get rabbit when you see it on a menu, which isn't often enough! There was a good amount of super tender meat and the pasta was perfectly al dente, all in a lightly stunning sauce. Chef's kiss. The burger was, no surprise, another triumph. There was juicy meat, bun integrity, and all the right accouterment notes. The fries are standard. Our daughter got their mac-n-cheese, which is probably just the gratin dish renamed. It was OK. We kind of got out of control for dessert and ordered the pot de creme, the cookie dough ice cream, and the profiteroles. Honestly, these were all good, but nothing that stood out as exemplary as with the savory stuff. Our only major complaint was the service. It was really spotty and while there was a very, very long gap in between when we got our water and then put in our drinks, but our mains came out almost directly after the salad. And the guy was just not very hospitable. Not necessarily a "bad" experience...it just could have been a lot better. Four stars, and we have already declared that we will be back again to "The Dip" because there is so much else on the menu that we want to try.

I've been to the DC and the Las Vegas locations and noticed that depending on which location you visit the menu can slightly change a few things. I prefer coming during Brunch hours which runs on the weekend from 10am-4pm. The buttermilk biscuits with honey butter and housemade jam are yummy. And the creme Brule waffles offer a nice sweetness for the sugar crave you might be having. And the fried chicken is to die for. Even has a gluten free option! But my fav brunch item is the gravy train. Which is a bacon, fried chicken, egg, and cheese sandwich SMOTHERED in gravy. This location also is within walking distance from a few metro stops. And there's a parking garage or two nearby in addition to street parking.

When did ice cream cake and your fav meal from mommy not be enough? All jokes aside, this was definitely an experience for my 58 year-mortgage-having- work-everyday-countdown-til-retirement self. Shout out to our top tier bartender, Eddie! My Mom and I were on time so we enjoyed perfectly delicious espresso and dirty martinis while we waited. Our party of 8 had top tier service from Ari and dined on top tier seafood in the midst of top tier elegance. I can't rave enough. (They even bought a round of complimentary bubbly to toast the birthday girl!) Hope you enjoy Proper Bar as much as we did!

My good girlfriend was coming down from Baltimore and wanted to meet up for drinks and light bites…read more She's known for picking trendy, cute spots, so no surprise that we ended up at Proper Bar. A few people kept asking if we were going to Proper on F St or Proper on K St, both sports bars, and up until the day of I thought maybe they were affiliated. That was far from the truth... and honestly, once you walk in, you'll get why Drinks & Food I wasn't planning to drink since I haven't really been drinking lately, but I decided to go for a tequila espresso martini, and I'm glad I did. It was smooth, balanced, and honestly just really good. My friend ordered a Paper Plane, which she loved. For bites, we shared the chicken nuggets with caviar (yes, nuggets and caviar... and yes, they were delicious) and the lemon garlic shrimp, which was flavorful and perfectly cooked. Everything we ordered hit the mark. Prices are about what you'd expect for K Street and the overall vibe. Think $20-$25 cocktails, $20+ appetizers, and $35+ entrees. Portions, both drinks and food, lean on the smaller side, which is probably the only thing that might make you pause and wonder if it's slightly overpriced. ‍ Service Service was great. Our server checked on us regularly without hovering and offered helpful suggestions when we asked. Everything came out timely, and we felt taken care of throughout the night. Ambiance This is where Proper really shines. I walked into a cute, ground-level, dimly lit lounge with an opulent bar and a man playing the piano, which set the tone for the whole evening It felt upscale but still welcoming. Perfect for a romantic date night or a girls' night with your closest friends when you want to feel a little fancy. Overall The food, drinks, and vibes were so good that I completely forgot to take pictures, which almost never happens That alone says a lot. Proper Bar is a spot I'd return to when I'm in the mood for good cocktails, a stylish atmosphere, and a polished night out.
