The strangest shrimp scampi I have ever had. Martini with lemon instead came with three olives and two limes. Go figure. They replaced it with a vodka on the rocks. There is FREE parking across the street, but for street parking you must absolutely pay for with the Park Mobile app. A Friday at noon, bitterly cold, and I was surprised that it was absolutely dead. My impression of the menu is that it's kind of a Middle Eastern, Mexican, American, everything place. The Philly sub was more of a flat sandwich than a traditional philly, different style of bread, but tasty and satisfying. I opted for the chips instead of the french fries to cut some calories Feels very much like an old school neighborhood pub. Looking around, and taking the fact that it's a very small town, I can see this being a social focal point for the area. A nice full bar. There wasn't anything to dislike about it, nice people, nice food, warm, and comfortable, easy five stars. BUT. The one thing that pushed it way over the top was that instead of standing there, awkwardly intimidating, with the card machine in their hand waiting for me to pay, THEY LEFT IT ON THE TABLE AND WALKED AWAY! The waitress brought the large menu and answered all our questions about the food. I asked about the sujok and was pleasantly surprised when the owner brought me a sample. I can honestly say this is the first Mediterranean dive/ hole in the wall I have ever been to. Its very small inside, and feels like it used to be some kind of diner- and the interior hasn't been touched since then. But the service was very friendly- the owner seated us right down and took our order quickly. The gyro was actually one of the better ones I've had, and my daughter enjoyed the kids mac and cheese. This is my new go to spot in Brunswick after riding on the C&O canal towpath! They've got a really nice little patio for outside dining, the service is excellent, and the food is outstanding! I've had the chicken curry and the chicken Shawarma so far and both were really really good. I will definitely be back the next time I ride from Brunswick :-) Back at the Potomac St., Grill today after a 30 mile ride on the towpath and once again PSG did not disappoint! 2 of us had chicken Shawarma and one of us had the chicken curry and mussels..mmm. Wow! 5 years after our first visit here and we forgot how good it was then and still is. Megan our hostess/ waitress was very nice and attentive. We expected the middle eastern food to be good, but an added bonus was the cocktail-Amaretto Sunset- generous sized glass and a refreshing taste. One was large enough for us to share. The food was as good as we remembered. Hummus, Mediterranean salad, Moroccan bean soup- homemade, spicy, delicious, shawarma platter, and of course the homemade baklava paired with hot, spiced tea served with a cinnamon stick. This has to be one of my top 3 favorite restaurants. My only complaint is that I don't live closer!!! We occasionally take our horses riding on the C&O canal and then ride over here for dinner. We've had a wonderful experience every time! The staff & owners are SO friendly and welcoming. It's rare to find this kind of atmosphere in a restaurant these days. The menu has an interesting mix of middle-eastern (grape leaves, kibbe, falafel), Italian (pizza, pasta), and standard American (burgers), and some outliers (chicken curry). I had a lamb shawarma sandwich. It was good but a little different than expected: It had a tan tahini dressing not the usual white tangy yogurt-based that seems more common. A plus for me. There was a lot of parlsey - good - but I didn't get a lot of flavor from it. (Why? Could it be dried from a jar? Unsure.) The meat was good: tender and marinated but it appeared pounded with a tenderizer, not sliced as is normal. Chopped tomatoes and green onions also plentiful. Overall, tasty and not bad for $11. The fries were below average. I needed ketchup. Speaking of ketchup: waitperson asked if I needed anything so I didn't have to. But she brought the most enormous bottle I have ever seen! Like Costco-size times 2!. A good brand though: no high fructose corn syrup. Bottle was a little messy on the outside and looked like it hadn't been used in a while. To drink I had a cosmopolitan. Not quite as festive when it's served in a plastic cup with ice. But I was sitting outside and a lot of places don't use their glassware outside. Seemed low on the vodka but very refreshing on this hot evening. Price not too bad for a cocktail at $7. Outdoor seating was in front with a view of sleepy downtown Brunswick. Powerful loud fans kept things cool, and attempted to keep the flies in control, of which there were many. Probably not their fault; the space seemed clean enough. Ordinarily this would be 3 stars for me. I'm bumping it up because it's probably the best this town has to offer as there's not much. I'd go back before I try any of the others. And because the service was good and because the owner twice asked me how everything was, had obvious pride in his food, and listened with apparent interest to what I had to say. read more

Who Knew? That Brunswick was home of this hidden gem! Growing up with an Aunt Aphrodite... I LOVE Greek and Mediterrean Food. This small but mighty little restaurant is serving up such favorites as Falafel, Gyro, Hummus, Grape Leaves,Baba Ghannouj, Kabobs and my favorite, Spanpokita. Not to worry, there are plenty of traditional sandwiches and entrees from hamburgers to spaghetti. The place is small but warm and welcoming and how can you find fault with a place that plays Patsy Cline. The service is personable and efficient. You can tell alot about a restaurant by how comfortable the regulars are and the way the staff takes time to share with the newcomers. We stumbled across the Potomac Street Grill after a bike ride in Brunswick. So glad we decided to stop for lunch! The food is delicious and the service is excellent! We sat in their outdoor seating area and enjoyed a beautiful afternoon along while having yummy hummus, eggplant Napoleon, Greek salad, and chicken shawarma...followed with chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream. While we were there, some other patrons brought their dog into the outdoor area and the owner of the restaurant brought her a cup of water--such a thoughtful and nice touch on a warm summer afternoon. Great meal in a cute little town...ended up here after restaurants in Harpers Ferry were too crowded and it was a nice surprise.

My wife found this place by accident through a Google search when we needed to find someplace for dinner. From across the street it looked more like a bar and a little divey. But we went in anyways because it was getting late and there weren't many choices around. Boy, were we glad we tried this place. I got a Reuben sandwich with a Greek salad. Both were amazing. My wife got a Gyro and fries, and the fries were cooked perfectly. Their pickles are also incredible! My son got the chicken nuggets, which were also very good. Even his lemonade was good. The food came out quickly and the service was spot on as well. This place is a diamond in the rough. We will definitely be back here again. read more

My husband and I decided to go exploring (we live in Leesburg,VA) and came across this little gem, great menu... little bit of everything. We had the mussels special... omg so good... nice little tasty wine sauce. So good my picky 5 year old was dipping the bread in the sauce and screamed," I love it!". I ordered the Sujok sandwich.... It's an Armenian ground beef sandwich, with the grilled veggies and a delicious cucumber yogurt sauce . Fabulous. This had a little bit of heat but it was tasty. I love spicy food, I feel like this was just a little touch of heat with a bunch of yumminess. I wore my fat pants, thank god, cause I ate everything. I was eyeballing the walnut baklava, but I didn't have any room. Next time.. the Jose Margarita... was perfect.
