I would like to rate the food however our order did not arrive after sixty minutes. I asked for and received a refund and we left. The staff was courteous but the wait should have gone differently, e.g. some heads up that orders will take over one hour before the food arrives. Food that other customers received did look well prepared and well presented. The menu was nicely organized. Greasy spoon vibe is okay but the single kitchen adjacent toilet shared by staff and customers needs reconsideration. Also the garbage can could stand regular emptying as the weather warms. Likewise cleaning the outside eating area. If I'm on the C&O and have an hour to eat I may try again, perhaps phoning ahead to offset the potential food preparation delay. read more

On a nice day I would've loved sitting outside and enjoying my food, they have plenty of seating for it. There's a good amount of sitting inside too for it being a small place. I wish the menu had the prices listed though. What we got: Gyro - 4* I really enjoyed this and my only critique would be they need to find a better wrap. Gyros, in my opinion, deserve to be served in thicker, fluffier wraps, not the same kind of thin wrap that one uses for a veggie wrap. Make this one small adjustment and this gyro would be elevated by far. Mushroom Burger - 4* my partner got this one. "It was a savory burger with lots of grease and flavour. I'd get it again if I was in the mood for it." Chicken poppers (with honey pepper sauce) - 4* we got the 6 piece and could've been satisfied with one container of sauce but they gave us too. The chicken is moist and I thought tasted like your standard fast food chicken. It hit the spot. Cheesy fries - 4* this is a huge portion. Pretty solid, juicy "pit stop" burger joint. Came here with fam and dog after we hiked Sugarloaf Mt on weekend. I ordered the double patty Smash Burger which is their only beef burger, and I added grilled onions and jalapeño which was free additions. I added fries for $5 more and it was seasoned well. Others in table had the Fish Burger, and more Smash Burgers -- extra patty. They accept Apple Pay here, if that helps. It was pretty great and filling, hit the spot. Outdoor seating in patio is great, sufficient parking out front. I don't think if I'd call this hole in the wall spot, but it's definitely a prime "pit stop" burger joint, especially as it's so close to a bike-able trail and nearby hiking trails in the area. I tried this restaurant a few weeks ago because somebody was recommending it on Facebook. I ordered their Smashburger with the fries, and I have to say I was not disappointed. I asked for the burger well done, and that's the way it came. If there's one thing I cannot stand it's ordering a burger well done and getting it back with pink inside. Anyway, the burger was huge, juicy, and delicious. I can't wait to go back and try their mushroom Smashburger. The owner was incredibly nice and continued to talk to me pretty much throughout my entire meal. If you're looking for an amazing burger, do not miss out on this one. read more

If I could give 6 stars I would. We came through Big Belly's after biking on the C&O from DC. We were welcomed with warm service, a friendly smile, and the smell of something delicious cooking. The three of us ordered sandwiches and grabbed refreshing cold drinks from their cooler. The whole place was impeccably clean. My falafel pita wrap was crunchy, fresh, and perfect for filling my belly. It had pickles and olives too, so just a little bit salty as well. The guys were nice enough to clean my filthy water bottles and send me off with clean, full bottles. Since this restaurant has opened it has gone downhill. Two smash burgers were ordered, both with cheese. The plain burger had sauce on it. So it was not plain. Both burgers were overcooked and tough. The French fries were dripping with oil which tasted old, like it hasn't been changed. There was some type of spice or flavor salt on them. It was not pleasant tasting. Onion rings tasted like old oil. We live in Point of Rocks and we were hoping for a good burger place, sadly disappointed. We will not return to this restaurant. Service was good. read more

Big Belly's... boy do they mean it! The portion sizes are generous yet reasonably priced which is a plus for me. The food has BIG flavor. It was so good! I hope the owners never change their recipe because it's that good. Their website and online ordering is excellent and very clear. It was easy to order which I really appreciate and no additional ads or anything. Now, I liked Big Belly's so much, I did lunch and dinner. For lunch I got the chicken rice platter, coming in hot with a ton of amazing flavor. The fries were very good, nicely fried and good flavor. I also ordered the samosas which... are going to be a problem for me. Because I LOVE THEM. They are so good! The pastry was golden crispy and buttery and the filling was phenomenal. For dinner we got the smash burger, BB chicken Sando and more samosas. The food was excellent. The only issue was the dinner order turned out a little wrong but the owner was super responsive and incredibly nice about it all. We did get a refund which I appreciate. Which is why I am happy to still give them a 5 star rating. The other little caveat I will give is that delivery takes a little bit but definitely NOT the worst thing. These little things will absolutely not stop us from continuing to frequent Big Belly's. I hope they stick around :) read more

The burgers here are to die for. I wish I could come here again to try the other stuff on the menu, especially the Nashville hot sandwich, the falafel, and the gyro platter. If they're any bit as good as the burgers they might be worth the 4 hour trip by themselves. It's a little place, really easy to miss (I have dozens of times), but the guys who run the place are very friendly and know what they're doing. There's a wall of post-it notes with art left by previous patrons and some of the staff, and the one guy is a talented artist--in his sketches and in his dishes. read more

Eat here. We had never been before, but were in the area and they had great recommendations on Yelp. They're not wrong. I had the steak wrap and fries, my husband had the burger and cheese fries. I thought it odd that the burger and fries don't come together, but honestly, we didn't need the fries. My steak wrap was twice the size I expected it to be. Half of it is what passes for a wrap at other places. We both ended up bringing food home. It was delicious! We are definitely going to be going back there every opportunity we can. We sat outside under the awning on the patio. There appeared to be a little park across the street, so it's a nice and quiet area. Trains do go by periodically which we think is a plus! Ordered white sauce on the side as we heard in reviews it was like. It was not in the bag. Onion rings tasted like they were heated up and way too thick of a breading.
