I've had this leather jacket for almost ten years, but in the past two three years, it's gotten a bit too tight. To be fair, I got it during the era of the shrunken leather jacket, iykyk. I brought it to Puac. They told me that they don't have the fabric for it, and gave me direction to this fabric store downtown. I thought, well, I'm in this for the plot, and went where they told me. This let me know that Puac knows exactly what to look for. The fabric store was great, and when I told them who sent me, they gave me a 15% discount off the leather. When I brought the leather in, there was a week and a half turn around. They measured it out, and gave me an idea of how it would fit. I would say that you do pay for the quality of their work. It cost me about a hundred dollars for the tailoring alone, which I thought was absolutely worth it. The leather was $68. This is a jacket that I will continue to wear for a very very long time. I know that this tailor shop can do generally alterations, but I would trust them with more complex alterations and trickier fabrics to work with.

Mr Garcia is so talented, so nice and so fast! First time I came in, needed pants hemmed for a wedding. He further done overnight. Second time, I needed an heirloom coat tailored. He made me look like a movie star in this thing. I have gone several times for pant hems, coat sleeves and even my wife's dresses have all been expertly and wonderfully worked on here. Most recently my mom needed a dress altered for a wedding out of town. She had like 36 hrs before her plane left and Mr Garcia had the dress ready overnight and looking absolutely amazing. Whatever you need to fix, from your finest garments to your jeans, this is the place to go. Period. Amazing work. Amazing speed and always fairly priced.

I saved money regardless even with the alteration. Before getting it done at Garcia's Alterations, I asked around and some of these places were charging ridiculous prices. Some places just refused bc upsizing required more fabric/ design work. Mr. Rodolfo suggested taking some fabric at the bottom of the dress and I thought it was a genius idea. Instead of avoiding the problem, he gave me a SOLUTION. Luckily I visited a month in advance bc he was very busy. His work came out beautifully done and the dress fit like a glove on our special day. I was fortunate to find just the right people, with Sophia and Kevin sharing 37 years of experience. The pair were both kind and knowledgeable, providing great input throughout the tailoring process. Kevin took my input and simulated the alterations beautifully for view for myself in front of the mirror. The day of pickup, my suit fit me like a glove. In fact, the way my suit was tailored was much better than I could have imagined. This is the reason why the pair have been in business for 37 years.

She gave me her opinion on the length of my jeans as I tried it on in the makeshift dressing room. After I picked up my jeans: The jeans were hemmed to the correct length. Also they were just regular hem, not original hem. (But that didn't matter much to me since both jeans were brand new.) There was a little bit of error facing the inside of the pants where the thread overlapped (refer to photo).
