This review is specifically for PotteryBarn.com. They have terrible customer service and they don't really care that it's terrible. I am trying to reorder 2 bar height stools as I ordered 2 about a year ago. When I tried to place the order online, the fabric I previously ordered is not available in the bar height stool, but is available for the counter height stool. This makes no sense as the upholstered areas of the stool in either size are exactly the same, it's just the frame that is a different size. Since you cannot email them, I chatted online with a representative who couldn't explain why this was and said he would look into it and I would be emailed within a few days with an answer. That never happened. So I called and spoke to someone who also didn't know why this was. When I requested she email me once she inquired about it, she said they don't do that, that I would have to keep checking the website every few days to see if this would change. Since they do not provide an email address, I am posting this review in the hope that someone at the company will see it and contact me. However I have no expectation that this will happen. I've been in customer service for over 30 years and have never experienced such a lack of assistance. Shame on you Pottery Barn, especially when there are so many other online retailers who will provide excellent service. Based on all of the negative online review, it seems you've lost yet another customer. read more

In another life, I live in an imaginary beautiful home straight out of a rom com movie home that Diane Keaton usually lives in - lots of light, airy rooms with natural looking accessories that look luxe and ferns, oh so many ferns. And then I come into an actual Pottery Barn and I remember my bank account has a lot less digits than Diane Keaton's. I do love the products - for the most part, they appeal to my aesthetics. Look for a decent sale. Sales staff sometimes seem a bit snobby tho. read more

Beware of Pottery Barn and all Williams Sonoma online orders. Completely wrong order received - order # on the packing slip doesn't even match my order number. The answer from customer service? My responsibility to take a 40 pound box to a UPS store and payment will be refunded only when received back and their warehouse. Oh, and sorry for the inconvenience. Nice agent - but no responsibility accepted by WS for the error, or my inconvenience. Say goodbye to this repeat customer. And I hope to take a few more with me. read more

I can understand some of the other reviews who mentioned that the store is understaffed. When we were working with Patricia, our sales person, she mentioned that she wasn't even supposed to be there that day but someone called out. But even so, Patricia was amazing. I bought a new condo and needed a sofa. She was very helpful with deciding style, fabric, etc. She didn't push the expensive finishes/fabrics and was understanding of my style. If you are in need of new furniture, go in this store and ask for Patricia! read more

About staff: I live minutes from Princeton store and if given the choice, I will drive to Cherry Hill. I kept getting calls from my aging mother during my transaction and staff told me not to worry. They went out of their way making my "pick up only" pleasant, so much so, I purchased another item. Conversely, Princeton staff always...always seem distracted or doing you a favor. Quality: You get what you pay for. I have always appreciated PB. PB Teen decorated my daughter's room at home and when she went off to college. Now she works in textiles and acknowledges, PB has fine designs and quality. Thank you to PB in Cherry Hill for making sure my rewards points were included. read more

This is not a review of the Pottery barn store but of the company itself. I ordered a sectional 2 months ago and am still waiting for delivery. When I call the company, I get the runaround, transferred from dept to dept without any answers about the delivery of my sectional. The invoice stated delivery within 6 to 8 weeks. When I finally speak to the 10th person I am told it will be 12 weeks. read more

Great experience! We had an in home consultation with Jill- she was wonderful and went above and beyond. She brought different items that would work with our home a few weeks after the initial consultation and placed them in the appropriate areas. As a mid-twenties male, I was treated as a second-class citizen because I'm not a middle-aged woman looking to buy a large volume. I was trying to exchange a defective gift, and the cashier was incredibly rude, wanting nothing to do with helping me. Will only shop at the King of Prussia Pottery Barn from now on, where at least the employees are pleasant. read more

Service started out slow. They were very under staffed for a Saturday morning near the holidays. Ed helped us and he was really friendly and knowledgable. One tip is to wait for a sale before buying here. If you can wait you can get a decent deal. read more

I have never had worse customer service from any store. I registered for thousands of dollars worth of items from Pottery Barn most of which were purchased at this location and bought a beautiful dining set, chandeliers, etc. I would think I would be able to have a relationship with my closest store based on all my recent purchases but I have received absolutely terrible customer service from this location specifically scheduling deliveries and returning items. They've incorrectly scheduled deliveries, had me wait for hours at the store and been completely nasty to me throughout the process. Pottery Barn has such beautiful items but avoid this store if you're in the market for some big purchases. They don't deserve your business!!! Makes me so sad! read more

Awful customer service. When I went to make my purchase the sales people ignored me for 15minutes. Then I finally placed my order and they never called to tell me the delivery was in... And finally, when I went to pick it up they failed to mention that there's a place to pull up & retrieve your order so I had to carry boxes through the mall. For such an expensive store, this store is a joke. I will not shop here again. Three strikes, you're out. read more

Worst pottery barn I've ever been to. Been shopping at pottery barn in PA for years and just moved to jersey and will never go back to this location. We came in to do a wedding registry and the sales person was distracted but set it up for us. Spent over an hour picking stuff and was given cards to send out. When I got home I checked it and it wasn't there and then I checked the next day and still not there. I called and they couldn't find it. Obviously from other reviews this is a very incompetent store. We were told we were the second registry that night- hope that one wasn't screwed up to. Need to train people better or get people that are smarter and can do their job accordingly. read more

Obviously, you come to Pottery Barn to buy or browse. But, it's astounding how bad, bad, bad, and terrible their service reps here are. Rude, disrespectful, and abysmal.
