I always find the sales people at Pottery Barn friendly and helpful. Someone greets me immediately upon walking through the door and they are eager to do whatever possible to help. The last time I was there, 3 sales people helped me find everything I was interested in considering at the same time. It was fun & they were extremely helpful. Karen has spent a great deal of effort making sure the sale things I wish to purchase are found at another store if they are no longer available online or at the La Encantada Store and calling that store to arrange a sale from them with the merchandise sent either straight to me or to the La Encantada Store for my pickup. I am puzzled as to why specific sales people are singled out for lack of help (in reviews) when they are always exemplary when I deal with them. I've been there many times and that has never happened. A special mention should be made of Karen who is delightful to work with and makes the experience fun. Terrible follow through. Had in home design consultation scheduled. First red flag should have been I had to contact store to track down confirmation of appointment. I did get the home consultation . Thought it went well. However either my money wasn't green enough or they just dropped the ball completely. Never heard from them again. For this reason I will no longer shop their stores. So the first $14k sale went to another store! Would not recommend even wasting your time with them if you are serious about designing a room. read more

Pottery Barn - Tucson remains my go to for quality.... Everything furnishings. The staff is welcoming and extremely helpful in tracking down what you need/want. The majority of the wood/sofas, etc are made in the great oh USA! North Carolina area. Competitive prices. I still have my PB sofa I bought in the 90s! With a couch cover still feels like it's new. Quality craftsmanship over quantity. Just bought some picture frames. Wow the quality compared to others... worth the cost. Sales are the best time to get what you want.... Or end of season sales. We began looking for a new sofa late in 2022 and after visiting many stores throughout Tucson, we finally found what we were looking for at the Pottery Barn at La Encantada. Our salesperson was Anna and she was very patient and helpful with us. We took some samples and literature home with us while we mulled over what we wanted to do and think about the thousands and thousands of dollars we were about to spend. Eventually, in March 2023, we got back to her and made the purchase. We were told it would take a few months to make it and we would hear back when it was ready to be delivered. Everything up to that point had been fine. Sometime in May I got an email from Pottery Barn saying we should expect delivery in June. One piece (it was a two piece sofa) was ready and would be shipped and held in the warehouse until the second piece was shipped. Then both pieces would be delivered at the same time. Toward the end of June, I got another email saying to expect the delivery sometime in July. Still waiting for the second piece. Near the end of July, I got yet another email saying the delivery would be sometime in August because.... well, you know. As the end of August neared, I had finally had it. I called the customer service number listed in all those emails ready to do battle. I was really fried (as in fried chicken fried), as I got the royal runaround on their automated answering system. After some amount of time I somehow got hooked up to a real person. I don't know how that happened. She found out that my warehouse was in Phoenix and connected me to the Scheduling Center for that warehouse (I think). That number is 888-413-1892. The nice lady at the scheduling center took a moment to look up my order and told me that my order has been sitting at the warehouse since May 26, 2023. That's three months. (dumb silence followed) She then asked me if I would like to schedule the delivery. I said yes. A 3rd-party delivery service brought it out a few days later and there it was. A beautiful sofa. We love it. Can't / won't say the same about Pottery Barn. As a part of the purchase we also got several hundred dollars in reward credit to use and so as soon as we had the sofa we went back into the store and loaded up on throw pillows. Very nice stuff. Wonderful service in the store. Very happy with the pillows. The problem is why they would let it sit in the warehouse and not figure out to call us. Who and why did they drop the ball. So very PO'd about that. Not sure I can use them again and the reason for the 1-star review. What good is doing all the other stuff right but can't get it to the customer and why do I have to do all the heavy lifting to figure out where it was and schedule the delivery. If I were the sales person and wanted repeat business I would stay on top of my customers orders. Nuff said. read more

I have always liked the quality of Pottery Barn products. It is nice to have this store open and be able to browse in person. They are following safety protocols with everyone wearing masks and the floor marked to encourage social distancing. We we're greeted soon after entering the store which was not very crowded, I particularly liked the choice of plates, glasses and towels. The towels are organic and some were incredibly soft. The dishes are attractive and sturdy. I've purchased glasses there in the past and they have lasted for years. I've known someone that bought furniture there and it has held up well and is still attractive. They have limited furniture but of a nice quality. They have most things organized by type of product such as dishes, glasses, lighting, sheets, silverware, candles etc. It's a good spot for a nice gift and easy find things. read more

Oh Pottery Barn - you always lure me in with your coupons and beautiful catalogs. And if I order online, it's quite the ordeal so I prefer to go to the store so I can touch and see things in real life. But the store at La Encantada always leaves me disappointed and borderline bitter about shopping there. I always, always, always have to fight for the price of an item that is clearly on sale online but not honored in the stores. The item is listed as NOT available for shipping to home, must pick up in the store so it's not a special online deal. I go to the store to buy it but they never honor the price. It happened again this weekend and quite frankly, I'm done. The tray is there but I guess I have to order it online, have it shipped to the store, and then go pick it up instead of driving there, buying the tray that is IN store and getting the sale price. Makes zero sense. Writing to customer service only serves to make me more frustrated as they always write back (several days later) that the store has to decide if they want to honor the online price. (???) So clearly the store and online Pottery Barn are two different entities. Pottery Barn is not interested in customer service and always basically throws their hands up and says they cannot make their child (the store) do what they want them to do. read more

I have been shopping at Pottery Barn for many years!! The store at La Encantada in Tucson has the rudest customer service! I find I need to put on my Sunday best to get any attention from the staff. I went in last week in a t-shirt and shorts and not one person asked if I needed help in the 20 minutes I was there. I enjoy Pottery Barn bought the customer service experience at the La Encantada store is horrible. Do the employees realize they work in a store and their job is to provide customer service and not look down their noses at the people in the store? Over the past 10 years I have been in that store so many times and every once in a while, I have a good customer service experience with a knowledgeable and friendly sales person. I really appreciate those experiences, but for the most part, those sales people need to get over themselves. I may need to run to AJ's and not look my best in full make up .... dressed to the nines and then I might pop into Pottery Barn. I don't need a snooty sales person looking down her nose at me and ignoring me at the counter. I can order from the catalog and pick up at your store and not have to pay shipping so I really don't need you so when I am in the store the only thing you have to offer is customer service and attention. You might need to go with a little extra effort if I need something specific and not roll your eyes and sigh. It's your job and I am not a difficult customer and rarely need help, but I can't help noticing how many customers you treat that way unless they are making a large purchase at the register. It's OK to make eye contact and smile at the people who are in your store and be grateful that anyone's coming in your store. So many retailers go under if you want to because lack of customer service and people don't want to come and spend their time with you. read more

I will never deal with Pottery Barn ever again. Sales people and manager, Anna and Karen, at La Encantada do not return phone calls. Everytime I called and I mean every time, they were always dealing with a customer. I don't accept this. I had to make all my arrangements including pick up delivery as no one ever called me back. I got tired of fighting with this store so finally contacted the 1-888 C/S department and spoke with a lovely young woman, Melody, who in five minutes sent my credit thru and it was immediately within 10 minuets my credit was processed to my credit card. Why couldn't Karen do this? Maybe Karen and her staff need to take training from this young woman. She was really great and said she would take care of everything AND SHE DID. Never,never order anything from this store. We bought a sofa from them in May. It is now almost September. COVID or no the number of screw ups in getting this thing delivered is unacceptable. The store itself did very little to help. I guess once they got their money you are on your own. By the way it is supposed to be here next week, fingers crossed!!! The number of promises broken by the sales staff is beyond anything I have experienced. Our sales person Beth who was delightful when we were in the store but totally useless once we left. I ordered "black out" curtains from them in March. They took 3 mos. to arrive from India and they couldn't custom hem them. The design for my window was incomplete, and they really are only semi black out curtains. Very disappointed in their design team. read more

I love Pottery barn! I have purchased numerous quality things from this store, and I am happy to report that I haven't had a problem with anything I've bought here. The Pottery Barn look has become a phenomena, and you can't talk much about home decor without hearing someone say "That's so Pottery Barn." RIght now they have some great items for spring at the La Encantada store, so if you're looking to get in the mood for spring- just pop into your local Pottery Barn! Some of the items currently featured include adorable white Easter china, lovely silk flowers (they call them "botanicals," and spring themed table settings. The spring botanicals are currently 20% off. Okay, I know their prices are a bit on the high side... That's the only reason they are getting 4 stars (and not 5) from me. What you can do to save money at Pottery barn is to get on their email update list. Their website often has special promotions, and there are many things on-line that you just can't get in store (like a huge selection of furniture). Be advised though, when you order big ticket items on their website, it can take an EXTREMELY long time to get them. If you're not up for the prices here, you can come into the store to get decorating ideas. It's fun to get ideas from Pottery Barn, and then find similar items other places... Once I purchased an old wood Pepsi crate at Pottery Barn for $25. I absolutely love it! (I use it on my patio as a catch all for garden herbs). About nine months ago, I stumbled onto an old Coke crate (just like the Pepsi one from Pottery Barn), but I picked up at an estate sale for $5. Once you get the idea of the "Pottery Barn look," all it takes is some creativity (and fun) to duplicate it in a manner that reflects your own personal signature. read more

I am extremely disappointed. We purchased a dresser and two night stands. The associate in the store helped us order everything online, which was nice. But, once the items arrived, we realized that the quality of the furniture left something to be desired. We immediately called pottery barn to schedule a return. That alone was an ordeal, and took several phone calls on my part to even get someone to come pick up the furniture. I requested a refund in the form of a check because, I had originally purchased the furniture with my pottery barn credit card and immediately paid it off. So now, they're refunding me in rewards instead. Ummmm no. I've called and called, been transferred to other departments and have been disconnected. When I call back and request to speak with a manager, I am denied. This whole experience will keep me from ever shopping here again. read more

I got a lot of help from the assistants in designing my couch. Their estimates included all shipping and fees. Overall very helpful, though one trip back during the process, it was hard to find someone as everyone was helping others. i started buying from pottery barn in the 1980s. i spent thousands of dollars on furniture and decorations. i moved in 2021 and a set of screws for the legs on my Bedford desk (2 tops, 3 squares, 2 sets of doublewide shelves) were lost. Potterybarn rebuffed my request for replacements telling me they have no record of me as a customer and implying that i am some sort of scammer. I'm sitting on PB dining chairs at a PB library table. My other library table sits on a wool PB rug. I downsized and sold 2 glass fronted cabinets and a console...all PB and pretty expensive. I also got rid of my red and green velvet drapes and my linen pocket drapes...all PB. I could go on. Pottery Barn will take your money and kick you to the curb for a set of screws. It tells you everythin you need to know about their idea of customer service: all customer's have wealth to harvest but are fundamentally criminals. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM POTTERY BARN!! I placed an order for a 4 piece modular console on Sept 3rd. Due to COVID I was told delivery would be longer than normal so it would not be available until the week of DEC 8th. I tracked my order weekly, so that I would be aware of status changes (of which there were none), until DEC 3rd when the status changed to delivery Jan 15, 2021. When I contacted customer service I was told that 2 of the 4 modules were not ready. Over the course of 3 phone calls, I was told they WOULD ship the 2 modules that were ready, and the next day that they WOULD NOT ship the two that are ready. At time of order, I was told my credit card would be charged at shipment, and that I could still cancel until the items shipped. As it stands now, they have not shipped anything, they have charged my credit card for the full $1600, and I cannot cancel the order because something has shipped. I now have an order that I have paid for and that cannot be cancelled allowing me to purchase from a different company. In the meantime, I continue to have my TV sitting on a folding table in the living room of my brand new house Unfortunately, I did not research Pottery Barn, as I thought it was a reputable company. Clearly it is not. Encourage anyone even thinking about placing an order to do a google search on Pottery Barn Delivery and see that this is not an isolated event. read more

I just don't really like the vibe in this store. The prices aren't even an issue for me. It's not Walmart, just expect to pay more for quality and get on with it. The decor style isn't for me. I like a much more modern and European look, and a lot of the items in Pottery Barn were a bit frumpy to me. But the biggest issue is how I'm looked at by the staff in the store. I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. But, I'm not a hooker. I'm just a young woman who likes t-shirts and Chucks. Despite that, I can afford everything in this store many times over. But they treat me like I'm worth less than the old woman drenched in old lady perfume and costume jewelry that just walked in. I was even given a sideways glance by an employee as if I had toilet paper hanging out of my jeans. As I walked out, I got a snide, "Thanks for coming." In that like "valley girl" kind of tone. Looking to buy furniture for a new home. Went in with husband to show him items I was interested in most of which wasn't available for viewing. We were there for approximately a half hour and wasn't approached once. The store wasn't particularly busy around 11 a.m. We must be invisible and didn't know it! Came in today looking for a gift for my nephew and his soon to be bride. They are registered with Pottery Barn and Macy's. Opted for Pottery Barn. Every sales person was busy when we arrived. Took awhile to get someone's attention to get any help on this project. Michelle the sales associate was really trying hard to help us with a gift from the list of about 100 items they had chosen. I hate writing bad reviews for local businesses but this place deserves it. The saleswoman is so doused in perfume I can barely stand it. I arrived at 11:00 to purchase a gift for a shower. Nobody opened the door until 11:15 it is now noon and I am still waiting for the gift to be gift wrapped. Buyer Beware of a sale at Pottery Barn----All over the store there are 20% off signs on Furniture. Found a really cool bed I liked. Took fabric samples home and chose one. Went back today to order only to find out that the fabric I chose does not apply to the 20% off sale. Now, I was totally prepared to pay more for the fabric to to have it disqualified from the sale??? This is called bait and switch. Totally out of integrity. The 2k purchase was going to be 3k. No way. It is called principle. Shame on you Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma. Plus the horrible position you put on to your employees. Your computer system will not allow them to do the right thing. So let me start with "I love the style of the Furniture and decor at Pottery Barn". I love the ideas that I get on the website as well as visiting the store. If you are looking for Customer service definitely look for Katie. She has absolutely gone above and beyond. I have purchased several large items and if I am not satisfied with what is delivered to me, she works to get it corrected. I am very picky. That being said, if I am going to pay the prices that Pottery Barn is asking, I expect to receive quality merchandise. I think that they may need to amp up the quality control "before" shipping. It would save so much in shipping cost ect. They have been very good about returns and exchanges its just that you have to wait so long for the deliveries and then to have to wait again for the replacement can be very discouraging. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because It has been a process trying to furnish my home because of it. They also need to get a handle on the Website. I have put things in my cart and come back 30 minutes later and it is empty. You have lost a lot of sales because of this Pottery Barn. I spend time picking out just the right things and then "Poof" its all gone. Again I want to mention that as of February 2019, Katie is absolutely Wonderful! Also, Katie was not there one day and Anthony stepped up to help and he was so helpful and really made my visit enjoyable. I just thought I would update the reviews since some were a little old. Pretty store, prices are great and like the previous reviewer said, you get great decorating ideas. But the customer service sure could use some help. It is kind of a self help store in my experience. Not the ones in other locales but in particular Tucson. I've shopped that one a few times. If you hunt down a sales person you can get help but otherwise they are walking past you. I went in the other day with a return. The bag was bulky and it would have been nice if someone would have approached me and asked if I wanted it put behind the counter. I did get someone's attention finally and ask for that. Shouldn't they be looking out for the customer. I have other examples as well but I finally had enough that I felt compelled to write this review. The prices are so good and the merchandise is pretty, the things could be flying out of the store. Just need better customer service. Would hate to see this store close.
