    Fall wreath workshop
    Kelley L.

Shopping experience was A+ - adorable merch, pleasant atmosphere, friendly but not overbearing shopkeeper. The workshop was exactly what I hoped, and then some. Organized, supplies were plentiful and ample, fellow participants were fun, and Hilari is a great instructor. Great value! I'm excited to return for more. When we scream #shoplocal, this is the epitome. Thanks for being here!

This review update is way over due! Creative Kind (formerly, Creative Tribe) is still as amazing as ever! This business has undergone so many transformations, it's so inspiring. Ownership remains the same. It was started by Theresa deLaney and over the years she now has an equally badass business partner, Hilary Ross. Even though they are located at the La Encantada shopping center, they are a locally owned business. They started out by hosting pop-ups at various local businesses, eventually moving into their first space in for town Tucson before making the big move to La Encantada. Their shop is packed with so many goodies made by local artists and other women owned brands from across the country. Creative Kind is a place to also gather for creative workshops that range from macrame to water coloring, hand lettering and do much more. They also launched a new membership site called CK Circle, where you can enjoy prerecorded workshops at your own pace but also connect with other members. It's a great concept and super affordable! I also love their customized boxes. They come in different price ranges and themes. They also ship nationwide!, if you haven't been to Creative Kind I highly encourage you to stop in or checkout their website. They are such a special duo and they literally pour their hearts and soul into their business. They support countless artists and makers through their platform. It's amazing! Shop local and support women owned!

Got to make some yarn art with Teresa's instructions!

So I decided to randomly give wall art a chance since they had yarn and all of the materials, and I had time in my hands. They did great and advising what kind of materials I could use, and even teaching me some knitting technics for my project. They were so sweet and complimented my work! It was also a super relaxing environment, with plenty of light and plants, very boho (because of the crafting, of course). I felt like I could sit on their couch and craft forever, and I'm not even a fan of crafting! I ended up with a cool piece of art for my room that I got to make myself, for a great price ($25). I encourage everyone to go in and try out something! Get the creative juices flowing

This shop is the number one reason I go to La Encantada. Such a cool concept that supports local makers and artists year round, giving them a platform other than the markets every few months. We stopped by for a watercolor workshop with a local artist, Cactus Clouds Art, and LOVED it. So cool to see them incorporating local artisans into teaching their classes, absolutely interested to see what events they come up next. They also have an awesome card and print selection that make perfect gifts any time of year.

Great venue to craft and meet new fellow crafters! Great owners- great lesson on water color and great fun!

Unfortunately, it felt no different than a standard splatter paint session. Prior to booking, Rebekah assured me that if I purchased the date night package for $109, we would get an Anniversary sign and special touches. When we arrived, there wasn't a sign or even a verbal acknowledgment, and several elements of the package were either missing or not executed as expected. After reaching out, the business acknowledged that aspects of the anniversary experience were not carried out as intended. I also provided a screenshot from the website referencing champagne, despite later being told that champagne has never been offered at this location. The most disappointing part was the resolution. Despite acknowledging the shortcomings, the only compensation offered was a 20% discount on a future visit, which requires spending more money with the business. We paid extra and chose pinspiration to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary based off of the conversation I had with Rebekah prior to booking and the website description of services included in the package. If I could give less than a 1 star, I would. The lack of customer service and effort to remedy their mistakes and misleading us to purchase a more expensive package makes this experience even worse. I do not recommend Pinspiration.

She really needed a private class that could work with her schedule. I was so frustrated that I did not come back for the last two classes. I went to pick up my projects and could not find one of them. No explanation just gone. When teaching a class I have found it works best when everyone is working on the SAME project, and the instructor has examples in stages to show and tell them while doing a walk around checking in with students while the class is working on the SAME project/item. This was not the case everyone was all over the place and there really was no organization to the class plus we did not follow what was stated in the class notes. I feel it was poorly organized, lack of instruction and follow-through. Rebecca was our instructor, she is a kind and thoughtful person who is very knowledgeable, and I think if she changed a few things she could make the classes fantastic. This was a beginner's class, so I sincerely feel they need to be more structured and supervised (walkaround). I would like to note that my mother, husband and I all took the class, and this sentiment was felt by all. To be truthful, due to my experience with this first class I will not be taking another class, sorry but that is how I feel. I took this class to gain some rudimentary techniques, relax, and spend some time with family but instead left with two classes to go due to anxiety and learning NOT MUCH to NOTHING! I am not someone who gives up easily but I felt the frustration and anxiety simply was NOT worth the gain or lack there of.

I hired Craig and his team to cater my wedding, which took place at a remote venue about 2 hours outside of Tucson. The event was a challenge because not only was it remote, but I was also planning the event from the other side of the country. That meant I didn't have the benefit of meeting with caterers in person, trying food in advance, and undertaking all the traditional steps of finding vendors for a wedding. I knew I had found the right person to handle the event from the very first call. He was cordial, asked the right questions, clearly communicated his requirements, and was honest. He didn't disappear or go radio silent after I signed the contract and he was communicative all the way through the planning process and leading up to the event. About two months before the event, he graciously drove the two hours out to the venue to conduct a property walk-through with me when I was in town for the holidays. He refused additional reimbursement for his time or gas money to get out to the venue. In the last month leading up to the event, I communicated to Craig that a few of my guests had some allergies, and one was vegan. This was a quaint wedding of only about 20 people, so that meant coming up with some original alternatives for those few individuals. Furthermore, I hired him to prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner the day of the wedding, which exasperated those challenges. On the day of the event, he had a custom vegan-friendly dish prepared for all three meals and took extraordinary precautions to prevent allergen cross-contamination. Every single meal was punctual, artfully presented, and delicious. This is not your standard wedding food or copy-and-paste banquet meal. Craig is extraordinarily talented and was continuously present throughout each meal to greet guests and present his dishes. Every guest was impressed and raving about the food. In addition to the tremendous food, Craig also helped to arrange servers for the event and even helped bring additional tables for the event. Craig is just a genuinely good person and you cannot do better than hiring him for your next event.
