But I assure you... if you're into plants (NOT just indoor but outdoor as well) - bookmark this business as this is the spot to get pottery. Don't even think about wasting $$$ at home depot, lowes & home goods. If you care about plants & want them to really thrive in pots, you'll get your pottery here. Most of the pottery is made out of clay. They have some fiberglass & plastic selections as well. OMG they have all the sizes... from itty bitty 2" to 30" monster size with wheels. Cylinders, rectangles, low pots, orchid vases, bowls, saucers....They got it all !!! The store displays the product in such a way where it makes it not overwhelming when shopping for a pot. All of the products were clearly marked with their price so there's no surprise at the register when it's time to pay. My *only* complaint is that I wish they had a cylinder in the italian clay in larger sizes. read more

I think I first heard of Pottery Mfg & Dist from Money Man Alan Mendelson on KCAL back in to the 90s. The variety here is impressive they have everything from beautiful glazed pots from Vietnam to clay and Talavera from Mexico. Prices vary as well. They don't only sell 1st quality runs but also have deals on blemished seconds and cracked pots. The staff is helpful friendly and keeps the place clean. We have had pots from Pottery MFG at all three houses we have lived in and no reason we will stop. read more

I came to this place because everyone told me that they have a great selection of pots at fantastic prices. While the first part of this is true....they have a fantastic selection of pottery, their prices are just ok. I think I have checked prices on pottery and plants all over the Los Angeles area, and these prices are not that great of a deal. As everyone says....if you go to the seconds area outside in the back, you can find some good deals. But their big pots out front are expensive and I've found just as good of prices, if not better, in other places. If you want to go in looking for something you need, I recommend this place because they will most likely have it. I'd driven by this store for years but never had reason to go in until recently when we got into getting plants for our patio and succulents. The entrance is located off of a Deadend street street off of 182 just east of the Home Depot and Metro station. Parking is somewhat limiting in number but when we visited, it wasn't busy so we found a space easily. This store is very large with many kinds of pots in a variety of sizes and shapes (color options is less so for much of their inventory). Price wise, it seems quite affordable and less than you would spend in a home improvement store such as Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. buying in bulk will get you further discounts. On our visit, staff let us know to ask them if we had questions but they were otherwise hands off with letting customers wander the store. We liked the selection and prices and will be back the next time we are looking for pottery. Not sure if they allow haggling but it kinda looks like they would entertain it if you bought a lot of bulk. I would say this is not a child friendly store as there's large pots (and stacks of pots) which rambunctious kids could easily knock over--and then youre out $$$. read more

There's a decent selection here, textured and traditional rimmed pots - my favorite, something about a classic Italian terracotta pot in a saucer that warms my heart. Roomy aisles throughout, shelves and shelves of treasures you probably didn't know you needed. Of course when I travel with my guy he has to peruse every aisle...I'm not a shopper, I know what I want and I beeline without distractions. Easy to find. Easy to park. Easy to shop and ring up. I've seen their sign as I drove by the freeway but never really took an interest until now and began to wonder how one actually gets there. With Yelp to the rescue again, it was a delight to find this place was so close to home. Located in a cul-de-sac, it literally is situated right next to the freeway. (Seriously, there's only a wall separating the two!) There are 3 or 4 parking spots on site and marked street parking spots also available. This whole place is incredibly overwhelming (in a good way!) It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it really is surprisingly bigger than it initially appears. The selections are phenomenal. So many different colors, sizes and designs to choose from. I wasn't even really sure what I was looking for, but I certainly found them! Pricing was also fair and I, naturally, ended up taking home more than I planned. Staff members are exceptionally nice and they are available when needed. YELP PERK: Free 8" clay low bowl at check in. Not sure if purchase is required. There was another Yelper in my party so we scored 2. TIP FOR PUP PARENTS: There are posted signs that dogs aren't allowed, but they're okay with you bringing them in so long as they're in the cart or if they're carried. Great first stop! EXPERIENCE: Parking: Private parking for about 10 cars other than that it's street parking but you shouldn't have any issues. Feels: It's near a bridge, by the freeway, and around the bus rail.
