Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Good prices. I was able to get what I needed to start my flowers from seed :)

Me and Anthony, onsite consultant, at Azul and Verde Nursery.

My experience at Azul and Verde Nursery was excellent! Anthony and his mother, Jackie, were not only extremely helpful in envisioning my wishlist but also great people. This establishment is a gardening lover's dream -- so many options. This is the nursery I've been searching for!

I was in the area and decided to check it out. I would definitely return if I'm ever in the area again because the place is so affordable. I only wish they marked the prices so I don't need to keep asking someone for the price. I did walk away with a lovely 4in tall plant for only $2! They've got plants of all sizes, so lots of options.

My fiancé and I were looking for some new plants to fill out our front yard. The nursery had so many options for us to choose from for both potted and ground plant options! I had to stop by fiancé from buying the whole store. We ended up choosing a Princess Flower and some Mexican Sage. Luis was very helpful in telling us how to take care of the plants (how often to water, when to expect them to bloom, how much sun they need, etc). We'll definitely be back for some more succulents or hydrangeas!

Golden Jade $18. Found a larger one and took that home.

Great nursery, very reasonably priced. Great selection of healthy plants. Some of the plants are overgrown and as such you can propagate cuttings fairly quickly.

Fair price!!! Best deal in town... Variety as well... 100% recommended Shopped around for trees and plants to keep in a pot. They gave me advise and taught how to take care of the plants.

Kiwi Aeoniums $5 for 1 gallon

If you live in the South Bay and you're looking for a good price on nice succulents, make this your last stop. Located beneath the power lines (natch) just off 190th west of Crenshaw, this is truly a wholesale operation, with very little signage. The greenhouses are right there, and most of the plants are cultivated on site. This also means that the pot will never match the plant and there are no consumer-friendly instructions tags...that's all extra in this world :). What you get in return is good prices on beautiful, hand cultivated plants. Most 1 gallon succulents were $5, including Kiwi Aeoniums and Paddle Plants. The single, large 5 gallon flowering blue rose echevaria we got was $12.50. Better choice of healthier-looking succulents than even Centeno's. There are more than succulents, but that's what we were focused on. Margie (the owner) is very helpful and friendly. Only thing that keeps this out of 5 star territory is that if you show up when she isn't there, it's hard to get any service. At. All. Best to call ahead.

This nursery is great for very cheap succulents and native california plants! They have so much variety and lots of options to choose from. The nursery space is huge!

It's my new go-to shop when I'm having one of my "crazy plant lady" moments or even when I'm not. I have loads of experience maintaining my favorites: orchids, African violets, peperomia, and calathea. They're what I consider no-brainer plants - once you get a groove with watering, light and caring for these beauties, they thrive for years and years. Getting the groove however, well that's the secret. I spent a healthy sum of money on orchids for my orchid/sunroom. Learning how to care for and grow them took me a couple years, but these daya I can confidently say, I've perfected my process in my microclimate. I love that Deep Roots sells what I need to make me happy and keep my pets safe. Their phalenopsis orchids are tall with big, beautiful blooms. They have several varieties of calathea and peperomia...they're so healthy and lovely, they look like faux plants! Want to brighten someone's day? Any plant here will do just that! Service is smart too. Have questions or need help? The staff here is super knowledgeable. Purchase a plant and pot, they'll pot it up for you for free. This is especially awesome when you need something last minute, think house warming or hostess/host gifts! Love that Deep Roots moved in the neighborhood.
