First,This is a pottery, statutory, high end patio with " Big" as in massive furniture, as in . Faux Tuscan. Now saying that , it is also home to a casual cute cafe, adding in High Tea bimonthly......Very popular requiring reservations. Many poeple even after the typical lunch time were enjoying their good eats. The highlight could easily be the many layered cakes and tarts, luscious looking selections and flavors cheese cakes.... Visually spectacular in the case where you enter and get seated.... Next visit I will skip the lunch and just indulge. Good food, prepared when ordered. Professional cheerful service. The kitchen is small and yet they turn out a nice variety to choose. All quality fresh food items. Everything is made on the premise. .. I had the quiche whic was a generous serving cheese melted unil creamy on top with a firm rich clasic egg custard mixture.. The thick artichoke soup and dill were a tasty combination. This place is amazing.! We recently purchased a home in the Morgan Creek area that had a large Tivoli fountain that was not working. Their crew came and totally repaired it. They leveled it, got the pump going again and answered all our questions. All for a very fair price! We went back to the store and purchased another fountain and had them come and install it. Same great service! We also purchased some statuary, benches, pottery, and home decor. Everything is top quality. We ate at the newly renovated Cafe and it was awesome. The Pastrami sandwich was excellent and the Quiche was yummy! Good wine selection also. We love this place and are going back soon for more decor and pottery. read more

I recently purchased a double chaise lounge and fountain from the Pottery World in Rocklin. Without going into a lot of detail, we discovered problems with both the fountain and chaise lounge upon returning home. I contacted Justin, the gentleman who had assisted us with our purchase, and he immediately responded. Not only did he completely remedy both of the issues, but he went one step further with an action that made us satisfied customers. Justin helped me with several items. While he provided the encouragement and sent me to an expert, I did the looking and he later did the pricing as some were able to be discounted a bit. I wonderfully selection with helpful people and good pricing if items are on promotion, sale or clearance. We will be back and because of the experience with Justin we will buy more. read more

This place is amazing!!! I absolutely love everything in there and although they are pricey you will find unique and amazing things. Like others have posted what I don't like is the service. My husband, kids and I were in there a solid hour. We were looking for pictures, big pots and a fountain for our back yard. Not one person said a word to us. When I went to purchase one of the wall hangings the girl barely spoke a word to me (and they are very expensive). Shocked that whoever owns this place isn't doing something about it as looking through the reviews this sounds pretty common. They had a gorgeous wall print that was $650 and a pendant that was $1400 that we googled while we were there and found elsewhere which I will pursue. Such a bummer....I wanted to love (and spend all my money!) in this place. read more

Went to pottery world on Saturday for breakfast. I was not impressed with the service. Very slow. After breakfast, decided to walk through the store to see what they had to offer. Found some candles that were very nice. Looking at them, I noticed that out of the 4 different designs offered, there was one design that was marked $0.00. I thought this was strange so I went to the counter and asked the clerk if everything was priced correctly, and she stated yes. I told her I wanted to buy the candle for the price that it was marked and showed it to her. She stated she thought I was complaint because the price was too high. I said no, I wanted a free one. She stated she had to get a manager. The manager told me all prices are subject to verification and that I couldn't believe they were giving then away. As she was telling me this, she was having staff pull all the candles off the shelf. So I would like to let everyone know that prices are subject to verification, so don't believe the prices that are marked on their merchandise. read more

Went to buy a 100$ gift card for my neighbor. They declined to sell me the gift card unless I gave my name, phone number, address and email. It seemed like a bit much to me so I will shop elsewhere. I just don't wish to give that much person information to every store I make a purchase at. But on a good note there selection of outdoor decor was amazing. read more

You have to understand that my rating of Pottery World reflects my personal design sense. However, if you happen to own a faux Tuscan McMansion you may recalculate the rating to five stars. So many things here are on a large scale. I saw a six foot tall urn spouting water from the top and the water had been treated so you could see suds going down the side. I imagined that two lines of these urns would look very good flanking the dock leading down to Cleopatra's yacht. There were many fountains here and if you are looking for one I would urge avoiding a fountain which sounds like three guys peeing in a pond during a night of pub crawling. Don't get me wrong, it is possible to find something for the home here. However, when I went inside to check out the interior collection I found myself getting more and more appalled. I feared that if a staffer asked if I needed help I might give a snarky reply such as, "I'm looking for something that is not hideous. Do you have anything like that here?" As I plunged deeper into the wilderness of Pottery World, things became worse and worse. Finally, I arrived in the hell of the fake flower section. I turned to flee. The horror. Where to start?...the parking was ample and situated close to the entrance. Walked into the pottery and fountain areas which were vast and beautifully displayed. Then onward to the cafe first because we we starving. :) Greeted by a very friendly woman who was gracious and seemed genuinely happy to see us. Seated us in a charming and cozy secret garden atmosphere. We were promptly recognized to have been seated and asked for our drink order. We ordered our sandwiches (best potato salad ever!) and soon after received our food. Service was fantastic and Ginger made sure all our questions about the shop were answered. After lunch, we proceeded to shop for the fountain we came for. We were greeted by a young salesperson named Michael who was so helpful and answered any questions we had with enthusiasm and awesome attitude. Expertly helped direct us to the perfect fountain! Gave us instructions on assembly and care of the fountain. Took the time to pack it properly for our trip home. We couldn't have received better service throughout our entire visit at Pottery World. Finally stopped after driving by so many times on the way to Tahoe. I was a little hesitant after reading some of the service reviews. However every person we ran into while looking around went out of their way to offer assistance. The staff that were moving items and assisting others in loading merchandise also made eye contact and said hello. We were there looking for pots. However we were assisted by KELLY McELVEEN she was absolutely AMAZING! We ended up with two great occasional chairs for my deck, a coffee table and a side table that holds a wine bucket. We will have to come back for the pots! Can't wait to do more business with Kelly. Another plus was the interior design area that was like PotteryBarn on steroids with out the Pottery Barn prices. read more

I bought a fountian at pottery world in Rocklin California in August of 2010. At the time I had trouble finding anyone to help me. I had it set up in September in my front yard , but not with water in it because winter was coming. In january 2011 five months later, I noticed cracks in the two smaller pots on the fountian. I called PW asked for a manager told him about the cracks, and was told that they don't cover freeze damage to the fountians and that they wouldn't take it back. I told them that no one had told me this fountian wouldn't work where it freezes, and the fact they had taken my name and address they should have known and said somthing then. I would never have paid $635.00 for something that wouldn't last for five months, and they had no sign up saying the fountian would not take freezing tempatures either. The manager finally said he would fix the pots for me. When I brought them back to the outside register asked for a manager, the sales person was very rude and said they always tell people that they don't work in freeze areas, and need to wrap them up and bring them inside every winter. This was totally ridiculous because even if I had wanted to I couldn't have lifted the fountian. The sales person also made a comment that everyone who lives where it freezes knows you can't use concrete pots,come on! Now that I feel like a fool that has a fountian that won't last , the only good thing is I will never do business with them again. CM California read more

The customer service has always been outstanding. A special shout out to Chris who was so patient and helpful while I went through my pottery decision making process. :). We secured great sale prices and felt they had the largest selection of fountains and garden paraphernalia in the region. Here comes the best part--their delivery service is probably one of the better ones in town. The delivery personnel are on time and prepared to deliver and install your purchases. What a great experience we had today at Pottery World. We have been looking for a fountain for our front courtyard. Well hallelujah! We found the perfect one, but it wasn't running. So they suggested while they were setting up the fountain, that we could go in their Cafe or there was live music and wine tasting in the court yard. We went in the Cafe and had a great lunch. The employees are so helpful and very attentive. Will go back just for the atmosphere and food. read more

Pottery World, Rocklin is a gorgeous store and the best and only place in our opinion for bird baths and water fountains. They have a huge selection of all types, sizes and materials of water fountains. Plus the sales associates are knowledgeable, experienced and helpful. We found it necessary to telephone back for assembly assistance and were pleased to receive the information we were looking for plus additional "tips" that really helped. Went here prior to their official weekend holiday opening and it is gorgeous! They have so many pretty and festive items. They've done a fantastic job of staging them - SO fun to walk around and check it all out! Some of the items are very reasonably priced while others are jaw-droppingly expensive. For example, a rustic metal Christmas tree with a red star on top -- 2 sizes, the one about 18" high x 6" wide, $120!! The smaller 15" high was about $80. Seriously??!! $200 for 2 rustic metal tiny trees?! Aside from that and a few other things like it, much of their stuff is priced well. Not cheap, mind you, but you go here for quality decor. It was super fun and their cafe is delicious! Ate there first and had the quiche lorraine - a huge piece with melted cheese over the top & down the sides - never had that on quiche before, and a spinach salad that was one of the best I've ever had - the vinaigrette was perfection and it also had a lot of craisins and feta cheese. Went to Pottery World cafe today fo lunch. They were slammed!! Kind and smiling hostess offered to put us on a waiting list. We are able to shop and they page over their system when your table is ready. One lady pushed her way in front of about ten people waiting to get their names on the waiting list and wanted to be seated NOW. The hostess offered to put her name on the list and the woman got angry - she wanted to be seated now. The hostess was patient and friendly. The woman (that is not the right word for her) turned around and as she started to storm out said to my husband "I just wanted a glass of wine and the owner will hear about this". She told the hostess she wanted lunch and felt that since she knew what she wanted, she should be seated ahead of everyone else. When she left one lady applauded the hostess. Great place to eat, little slow with the food, great service from over worked servers, not enough help - but if you have the time, this is the place to eat. read more
