This used to be a great company to work with, they cared about quality and customer service But…read morelately with Good hay being hard to get I was understandably working with them, twice they replaced hay for me, but this third time they won't even call me back which I feel is totally unacceptable. The first replacement was bleached out old hay. The vet told me to call and get that replaced, which they did., The second time about two months later, they gave me hay that the horses wouldn't eat, so they gave me lime to put in the water that said would entice the horses to eat the hay which I refuse to do Upon the vets advicebecause I am not going to start doing artificial things with my horses they're too valuable to me. This time they gave me hay, which was mixed with straw, and indeed there is some good grass hay in the straw, but as you can see in the pictures, horses will not eat the straw and they're not supposed to. I called and spoke with the girl twice. She promised me John would call me back. He never did either day. He was tentatively supposed to come out Friday the 21st to give Give me more hay she said because now they had good day, but they never set up a specific time and never came out and again never called. Like I said, this used to be a really good company, but I'm thinking since they open Business in Elizabeth, maybe they're outgrowing their britches. I know I won't go there anymore and I highly discourage anybody else to, there is no excuse at all for somebody not to call you back, They're just not the nice family company they used to be sorry to say

It is now under the name Bomgarrs and…read morethey are very different in quality so I will go ahead and kill two birds with one stone here by reviewing The Mercantile and Bomgarrs. As The Mercantile this was a great place. The overall quality of the merchandise was good! They had ranch and farming clothes, supplies, feed for all of your rural yard pets, gardening supplies, some building supplies and more! The thing that drew me to The Mercantile almost every year(and I am NOT a farm and ranch person, despite being raised on a ranch) was going to see the little baby birds that they sold. They had baby geese, turkeys, chickens and ducks! All very adorable and very tempting to buy! I have the property to have these birds as pets but I live near a pasture and there are foxes all over so I know that they wouldn't last two seconds at my house and unfortunately I don't have suitable accommodations for them. Now onto Bomgarrs. I would give them anywhere between 2.5 and 3 stars. When I was in here a few days ago I was expecting it to be more or less the same as the Mercantile, just the name change. While that is more or less true as to what happened there are differences that the picky consumer would notice. Some of the merchandise is not quite as high quality that The Mercantile had. Some things seemed very cheap looking and the prices didn't necessarily reflect that on everything. They did have baby birds still but only a handful of chicks which looked dirty, slightly sickly and wings that looked like they got ruffed up a bit like they into a fight. There were no other baby birds here but chickens this time though there were other cages than just the three occupied ones that were here but nothing was in them. Bomgarrs also seems to have an expanded hardware section that I didn't notice as much with The Mercantile as well as lawn furniture. In the hardware section I was looking at chainsaws that I was pondering on buying because I have a tree that should be sawed down at home. There wasn't really a modest price range with the chainsaws. Maybe since I don't have a clue about chainsaws that they all come between $170-$500 but if I remember correctly from last year browsing for one there were more modestly priced ones out there and seemed liked they would hold together after you started sawing. they had a chainsaw that was about $60.00 but looked like it couldn't hold up for very long. Bomgarrs has about all of the same merchandise as The Mercantile did after those said differences. I can't say that I won't ever go back to Bomgarrs but the overall impression was not very high as to when it was under The Mercantile moniker. The Mercantile must have sold to another company or something if there is that many 'subtle' differences going on.

We have visited them for joint inflammation relief for our 12 year old Doberman. Prices are as good as you can find on the internet. But mainly, the staff is so incredible with our pit bull who hates to have her nails trimmed. They are the only ones that are able to pull this off as she absolutely will not allow myself, wife, or daughters to even go near the Dremel or nail trimmers. I am left with loss of hearing and constant ringing in my ears. Jax refused to help me or take accountability for what they did to me.
