I received an order confirmation email from Ace. I called the store today to see if I could pick up the trimmer tomorrow and was told that their computer said not to fulfill the order. The rep suggested that I place the order again. I tried repeatedly to log in to Ace's website and even tried to order the trimmer as a guest, but the website was dysfunctional. So I found a similar trimmer at Lowes for $153 and ordered it there. I figured it was worth $13 to me to buy a trimmer without all the hassle I had to go through with Ace.

The quality of the products they offer is often higher than what I find at the big box stores; and I'd rather buy something which will work well and last a long time than buy multiple iterations of lower quality products. Their downstairs area has top quality grills, and a fantastic selection. It's a gem of a hardware store.

I provided proof of employment and proof that I'm the manager, yet they still refused, demanding a letter. On top of that, they questioned what I was going to use the key for, as if I were a criminal. Frustrated, I went to a proper locksmith--no authorization required, no unnecessary questioning, and the key was made without hassle. Won't be returning here.

It is great to have these local stores that will support other local opportunities! When I was there selling cookies with girl scouts i did go in and peruse a little bit after the sale was done and picked up a few items to show support back at them. They had a nice variety of items even energy bars or trail mix as I recall. That was some of the stuff i am pretty sure i picked up. The staff was super friendly! The store was clean and organized. They had a good supply of items. If i needed some items from a hardware store I would definitely support Ace! our small local businesses need us more than ever. The big boxes will survive.

We have never been to a better store than this particular location. Every time we purchased paint and a load of other items, we got great help from all of the employees we encountered. We were referred to Francisco Mendoza, a contractor affiliated with Home Depot to install our butcher block counter top and we hired him additionally to replace the windows as well. This gentleman was incredibly honest and his crew were very hardworking and accurate. They did an unbelievable job for us-even replacing an installed window that was defective after installed. As soon as someone with a brain saw my complaint, they immediately refunded my money. Installer got sick so we didn't know until day 9 the door was wrong. Unfortunately, he stated that's our problem even after I offered to pay a restocking fee and purchasing the correct door from him. Stated its not his fault customers don't read, and he can't be expected to take back items and lose money. The business model here is very short minded and not customer friendly. You take the extra step and build a relationship with your customers, not speak of policies that serve who? Your threats of going to "Home Depot" means nothing to any one but you, not even Lowes cares. They are the same damn company at heart. Crappy. That's the price the public pays for wanting cheaper & bigger. The loss of smaller, more personalized shopping. Each one of those massive departments used to be a store in it's own right, an electronic shop, a lumber lot, a nursery....you give up a decent shopping experience when you put everything AND the kitchen sink under 1 massive roof. I tried to show her a picture of what I needed, she wouldn't look at it and continued to berate me. I finally said just show me this(the pic I took). When she finally looked at the picture, she said sorry she didn't have it. While Mary and I was having this conversation, another senior associate was complaining about her scheduled lunch. I don't like this store and will go the extra mile up the road to Home Depot.
