Lots of candy. Many imported from Denmark. They make their own fudge. Many old time candies. It's on a good side of the street as many visitors come into the store from foot traffic. I bought a bag of gummies from Denmark. I should have asked its price. Was shell shocked that this bag cost me $25.xx some dollars. i didn't think it would be that expensive. And...they're OK. Interesting. Not overwhelmingly great, but OK. Expensive because they are imported. The fudge was the same. I sampled the chocolate peanut butter and something else. It was good. Not fantastic. Disclaimer: I'm not a great fan of fudge in general. But I do know good fudge when I taste it. I also bought two truffles--at $4.50 a piece! They are big, about 1-3/4" in diameter. Surely, at $4.50 a pop they would be excellent, right? There many delicious sounding flavors. The two I settled on were the dark chocolate and the peanut butter chocolate. Strangely, could not even taste any peanut butter. They were good. Not great, though, and definitely not worth $4.50. But I guess that's the cost of a tourist coastal town. Not as good as a See's chocolate truffle or the truffle bars you can get here in Utah. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? This place is awesome! We were looking for candy cigars to celebrate a baby being born today. We hopped on the freeway and called them to make sure they had them. They said yes but they were closing in a few minutes. We were about 10 min out. My husband told them the baby was being born tonight so they said they would stay open for us!! What a great little spot! They have lots of hard to find candy including the Twin Bings my parents love!! Even better was they had a caramel version we've never seen before! They also sell various chocolates and truffles and fudge. The woman working was super friendly and helped my mom with answering random questions about the prices of some of the sweets. I didn't have a chance to try any of the truffles but I loved the caramel twin bing we picked up. This is a good spot if you're looking to satisfy your sweet tooth or if you're seeking out some of those more obscure kinds of candy not readily available. Living close to this shop is truly a gem! When my grandchildren come to town, I always get them a red gift bag filled with goodies I've picked out from the Candy Shoppe. I also toss in a city map and some money, encouraging them to explore and shop on their own! I've had so much fun picking out treats for them because they absolutely love everything! The shop takes great care in their packaging, making each gift feel special. I enjoy walking through every inch of the place and always make it a point to peek in the windows to see what's new. A relative newcomer to the Front Street scene in Poulsbo (it's only been here a couple of months), we almost walked right past it, since nothing of interest to us had occupied the space before. Of course, everyone loves candy, even sweet-toothless curmudgeons such as myself, so we popped in and grabbed some nostalgic novelties and saccharine sweetmeats to take home and share with the kids (when they're behaving themselves)! Taffy, fudge, jelly beans, gummies, hard candies, and all the classics confections of yesteryear and today can be found within! And everyone who worked there was friendly and welcoming, although I suspect that had something to do with the handsome pupper I had strapped to my chest, who seemed to draw most of the attention! Okay, let me tell y'all HOW AMAZING the fudge brownies were.... We ended up getting the sea salt chocolate & and the butter beer flavors. I loved the customer service here! They allowed my pup to come in and even praised him with a tiny treat. The fudge brownies were to die for, very soft, thick, gooey, everything. They even allow you to have samples. They also have all these candies that I never thought of seeing again in my life, it was very nostalgic. Try it out! read more

After visiting another candy shop in town I was looking for something very specific and they had it! I got raspberry truffles. Mmmmm! The truffles are huge and filled with decadent chocolate with a hint of flavor. It isn't overpowering. The shop itself is cute and about the same size as all of the other storefronts in town but this seems more cheerful. Maybe it was the adorable merchandising or maybe it was the uber friendly candy slingers. Whatever it was it was a fun experience to check out their wall of Harry Potter inspired candy and peruse the case of specialty fudge and chocolates. You will leave in a sugar high with more than enough chocolate to keep you busy for a long time. The prices aren't cheap but with that much love and effort to provide a quality chocolate I wouldn't expect anything less. Bring your sweet tooth! read more

They had grape bubble gum too and for me personally, I cannot find grape bubble gum anywhere! They also have fudge for all you fudge lovers! They make it fresh Monday's. We visited this great shop during our first time in Poulsbo. After spending the afternoon there on a super cold day, we ducked into the candy shop to check out the fudge selection. They smartly push samples on you, and wow does that ever entice you to buy!? And I'm very glad they did. This is perhaps the best Fudge I've had. Even a few days later, super smooth, and very flavorful without being overly sweet or sugary like a lot of fudge I've had. In fact, I've sort of written off fudge as a low-quality sweet treat because of multiple lame experiences. I ordered the Mexican Dark Chocolate fudge and it was uniquely delicious--it's a must-try. First, you get the smooth chocolate and then this kick of spice in the aftertaste. Other people in my party ordered peppermint fudge and traditional walnut--everyone was delighted with their choice. I tried the peppermint as well and found it very tasty! The staff is super friendly, as well, and seem to want you to try every fudge flavor. :) If in Poulsbo, the Candy Shoppe is a must-visit. read more
