My party of five had a memorable dinner at Old Hickory Steakhouse this past Monday evening. Chris was our server and he was fabulous! We started with some really great bottles of wine and a dozen oysters. The east coast ones were our favorite. We also enjoyed the fresh rolls and butter. Delicious! A couple of us had the Chilean Sea Bass entree and others at the table enjoyed steak. We shared a side of brussels sprouts and a loaded baked potato. This was plenty of food but we ended up also sharing a tiramisu and lemon merengue special dessert. The desserts were not anything too special but everything else was very good. This restaurant is expensive but high quality. If you're in the area (or at the Gaylord) and seeking a steakhouse meal, this is your place. Enjoy!

This is old school steakhouse vibes, with excellent service. Food was top notch, tasty and very elegantly presented. We celebrated our wedding anniversary with lovely service, care and enjoyment. We both had the filet steak, I had wine and husband had martini with blue cheese olive. He had lobster bisque starter and I had tomato salad starter( easily could be shared) we indulged in a super fancy potato that was full of fancy fixings- this was caviar, bacon, truffled cheese sauce, top with gold leaf and micro greens-high roller- we did share this item with plenty for both of us. Tables nearby were just a little loud, and they removed all the booths that were in this area, the seating was by table, chairs were comfortable enough. This was really only 1/2 star less for overall noise level and comfort. I'm glad they have lifted the valet fee for eating local.

Called to make a reservation for Christmas Eve dinner. You do have to put a card down when confirming the reservation. I was happy to be able to dress up for dinner, the inside was lovely and decorated holiday themed. My family was staying at the Gaylord for the Christmas Holiday and this steakhouse looked amazing. It did not disappoint. It is much larger than anticipated, and we were seated by our lovely waiter. I waited two weeks to write this review so I can't remember his name. But he and the other gentleman helping were amazing. He will know who he is, he wore a different name tag also loves the massive pepper grinder, always makes a joke of it. (best part of the night!) Any who, I was very impressed with the food. The appetizer portions are large as well as the sides, so keep that in mind. The fresh bread was unreal, I could eat 5 of them. The true star was the steak, and whipped potatoes. The medium rare steak was cooked to perfection, and I shared it as well as shared a few sides. It was more than enough food! I recommend a started, and then two maybe three sides for the table. Well, depending on how hungry you are. The price is what you would expect for a nice steak house, around $80-100 per person depending on if you get drinks. Overall, great experience and would love to celebrate a holiday here again.

Good steakhouse. Great? In my opinion, no. First the good stuff. The baked potato was pretty good. Heaviest baked potato I've ever had, but also really good. With crème fraiche and caviar, and good flakes, it's decadent, an indulgence, and one of those things you get once in your life. I liked it! Now the bad. The steak and service. It took about 45 minutes from the time I ordered to get the main course, and my first bison steak was well cooked and tough to eat. No pink at all. I haven't had a steak that overcooked since in at least ten years. With how restaurants cook steaks these days, it was a surprise. Now they did provide a second steak, which was to specification, but even that one took a while. The steakhouse was actually not that busy either so it was clearly understaffed. Maybe I caught them on a bad night, but not my type of steakhouse.

This restaurant recently opened at the Gaylord Rockies Hotel. Made my reservations 2 months ahead and glad I did. The experience was excellent from start to finish. They start your table with their in-house baked rolls OH MY YUMMMY! we started with some nice cold drinks and then our entrees and sides. AMAZING MENU AND SERVICE! I ordered the Filet Medium that was cooked perfect with sides of Sweet potato , added a lobster tail but that was really Salty ate it anyways. We were so full but dessert was a perfect. Will certainly return again and Thanks to the wonderful staff.

Still my favorite BBQ in Atlanta, though this is the last one standing. Come for the Brunswick Stew, try everything on the menu. If you're around for Breakfast, you'll feel like you've eaten at your Grandma's

Came here for dinner; started with the house bread & butter, which just melts in your mouth; followed by the steakhouse wedge salad & a bottle of wine. They have a good selection of wine with price points ranging from acceptable to pricey. We shared the 14-ounce wagyu ny steak - might have shrunken while cooking ‍, a side of the crispy sweet potatoes, just scrumptious & an order of the Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts felt as if they had not been trimmed up enough; i.e., too much stem & needed a tad more peeling back. The service: Orange & Scott were stellar. Scott made great suggestions, knew the menu forwards & backwards. Loved the high energy he brings. Orange was attentive, she noticed when water was needed or plates removed. The atmosphere - loud, we were seat by a back door & it was windy outside to the point that the door would occasionally stay open, burr! We'll definitely be back as there are so many other things to try.

We couldn't have had a better dinner last night! Manny took care of us and he was amazing. Every dish we had was so good and their wine room was perfect for our small party. The timing of all our food coming out was great. For a fancy dinner this is a must

Despite this being inside a resort, the food and service were great. Our server Scott was so nice and lively. He gave us some awesome recommendations and none of them disappointed. The whipped potatoes were so fluffy and buttery. The brussel sprouts had a delicious glaze to them and were perfectly cooked. The winner was definitely the lamb. So different from new Zealand lamb, tender and full of flavor. For dessert- the creme brulee was huge, and every bit was so delicious . The Ambiance was pretty casual and it was a nicely maintained restaurant. I definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Good views, good food, clean spaces, great ambiance. Wine selection was decent. Had the crab cake, too much filling but I would go back for the atmosphere and try other options. Service was attentive and personable.

Me and my friend shared Wagyu steak and lobster bisque. They were able to serve us two separate dishes, sharing the dish. The Wagyu steak was so delicious and tender not too much fat on it and the sauce was very tasty. The lobster bisque and bread were a curry combination and we were so filled with Food and joy. Your atmosphere was a very professional and very clean and very mellow. Very fancy restaurant.

Came here for dinner with a friend. He got the filet and I got the bison strip. What was most impressive was the ambience as well as the fantastic service. Koto was very attentive and made it a point to ensure service was to our liking. The steaks were cooked to order and delicious. As far as the food I was incredibly impressed with the lobster Mac and cheese. Especially since I never order this. My friend wanted to share and it was a great choice. We also got the harissa carrots which I though were cooked quite well and brimming with flavor. Definitely recommend Old hickory if you're looking for a quality steakhouse.

Inside the Gaylord and absolutely fantastic experience! From top notch service, to amazing food and great atmosphere! I love the outdoor seating and views! The food and wine is outstanding!! The price is what you expect from a great steakhouse at a resort but worth the money! The sides are very shareable and delicious and packed with flavor!! Thanks for a great experience!

Old Hickory is on site at the Gaylord. Reservations really depend on day of the week. Even though we stayed at the Gaylord Rockies we still made a reservation.

The dark-haired bartender responded with an extremely hostile attitude when we tried to order. We were told that the poke bowl (around $30) could not be made until 11:00 AM, despite it being 10:45 and the menu stating nothing about this restriction. When we asked if we could order it ahead of time and receive it at 11, she snapped, "NO, we can't even ring it in until 11," and then told us to wait outside. We complied initially, then sat quietly at an empty table near the hostess stand, completely out of the way. Shortly after, my friend informed us that the manager had approved placing the poke bowl order before 11. We paid, tipped, and sat back down briefly while waiting for the food. Within two minutes, the same bartender aggressively approached us and yelled for us to leave and wait outside. When my boyfriend calmly explained that we were simply waiting for food we had already paid for, she responded, "I don't care, you can go wait outside," and essentially kicked us out of the restaurant. This happened despite us being seated out of the way and not disrupting service, and in a high-traffic airport area where her reaction caused more disruption than our presence ever did. To make the interaction even stranger, after we waited outside, a male bartender brought us our food, handed it to us, and said "peace out" in a sarcastic and dismissive tone. This was one of the most uncomfortable and unprofessional food service experiences I've ever had. I've worked in the food industry for 12 years and attended culinary school, so I understand pressure and policy. This was not that. This was unnecessary hostility, poor communication, and a complete lack of basic professionalism.
