This is the bar you drink at for 20yrs... very chill suburb neighborhood spot. Crisp, clean pub atmosphere and really solid food. Cheap beer is available everywhere in this area but I have to church up the JCB burger. Simple burger (med-rare, I usually order med-rare and get well done, but true med-rare) cream cheese, bacon and grilled jalapeño. That's it and it honestly needs nothing else. Little sweet, little heat but for a lunch burger I am impressed. Bartender was cool and I think ran the whole house at lunch pretty well. Skip the burger in the bag and come smash a PBR and some really local hospitality. read more

We have been going to The Glenn for years! We went today and placed our order at 3:35, which was their happy hour/lunch menu. We ordered 1/2 of a turkey rubin with fries, one cheese burger with green chili as the side 2 coors light and 2 house margarita's and it cost $70 with a tip. The turkey rubin was not grilled enough, it looked like warm bread. The cheese burger came naked. No lettuce, onion, tomato or pickle. I asked the server, and he said we had to ask for it but it wouldn't be charged extra, even though the cheese was charged $1.50 for a slice of american cheese. THEN WE HAD A FAIR WAGE FEE. (5.00%) of our bill. WHY ARE CUSTOMERS PAYING THAT? The employer should include it in their prices or not charge it. Because $70.00 for this meal that was SUB PAR AT BEST makes me mad. The beer was $2.50 before 4 pm and $3.50 after 4. We would drink beer here. But paying $17 for 2 house margaritas, on happy hour prices, was nuts. The old ownership cared more about the food products that were put out. We will NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN. $70 FOR A BURGER AND 1/2 OF A SANDWICH AND TWO DRINKS EACH, AND A WAITER WHO DIDN'T ADD CONDIMENTS TO OUR BURGER... shame on you guys. read more

Holy crap! Best burger of the month? Probably best burger of the year! The burgers here are absolutely fantastic and outshine every other aspect of this great restaurant. Get one of the specialty ones and enjoy! The restaurant itself feels like a little hole in the wall with lots of character and local feel. The servers and bartenders are nice and funny, and they have tons of events and live music. Not too long ago, I moved to Thornton and was in search of a hang out spot with good booze, a patio, and bonus points if they had brunch. The Glenn Bar and Grill checked all the boxes and more. Super psyched. The star of the show for me is the Bloody Mary bar. Me oh my, it's perfect. Choice of 3 different vodkas. a selection of bloody mixes, the staple horseradish and Worcestershire (bet you can't say it) sauce, hot sauces, and bunches of other fixins. Big fan. If you're not feeling confident in making your own drink, they will also make one for you. I also have a friend who is a bit shot pusher, so we all tried the breakfast shot (oooeee that maple whiskey is nice) and it was awesome. Also really loved the country fried steak and chicken and waffles. Yeah, I go for the heavy stuff and leave happy. I like that you can stay indoors and grab a booth without it being super bright (sometimes it better for the hangover) or that you can sit out on their patio. Looking forward to coming back one evening when their massive fire pit is lit. It's also been pretty great to not have to wait to be seated. The staff are also super chill and efficient. Cool spot for drinks and maybe appetizers but I wasn't impressed with the food. I wouldn't advertise Prime Rib if you serve subpar Prime Rib. I got a server who dropped the bill with the food and I had to order dessert from someone else because he was MIA. Bartenders were great! Well this is just a hidden little gem in Thornton for brunch! They had a Bloody Mary bar and plenty of drink offerings. The mimosa and espresso martini were strong and delicious! We were sat quickly and our waitress was very nice. They got BUSY while we were there and food did take a minute to come out but that's okay. I got the cinnamon roll waffle with cream cheese icing and some type of syrup. It was dry and underwhelming. There was no hint of cinnamon! The scrambled eggs were greasy and just fine. For $13 for just the waffle I wanted a bit more My friend got the French toast and it was three huge pieces! Went again last night fo the live music and patio!! Found out they have updated their menu... and prices The patio is nice! Nice lighting and decorations. Lots of greenery with grape vines growing around the edges and across the lighting hung overhead. Umbrellas at the tables that you can open or close depending on your desire for sun. The sound system is nice out there. Music sounds good and it's not to loud to have a conversation with people at your table at a comfortable volume. The service is a constant rotation of people checking on you, which is nice but leads to some confusion. The updated menu has some good items. The fried green beans are served hot and crispy! They come with a chili sauce and ranch. Both are needed as the green beans alone are kind of bland. No real flavor in the breading. With a touch of salt and spice they can be very good!! Also had a wedge salad which was very good!! Good portion, a little pricey ($13) but was overall a good choice. Nice amount of blue cheese crumbles, bacon and cherry tomatoes. Next were some onion rings which were dripping oil out of uncooked batter... so bad I had to send them back and got sweet potato fries instead which were WAYYYYY BETTER! hot and crispy!! Finished the night off with the truffle burger(my phone died no pic ) the burger patty itself was tasty but unfortunately it was cut or broken into like 4 different pieces so it just fell apart and was a sloppy mess. In spite of the mess it was very good!! Hot melted cheese, mushrooms and bacon!! Sooooo good. If the patty was one piece it would have been even better!!! Still think the 3% fair wage tax is BS!!! Great neighborhood bar in Northglenn. Great spot for a prime rib dinner on a Saturday night. I also came here on a Sunday night and there was an awesome guitarist and singer named Josh Blackburn playing. I think the waitress told me he plays the first Sunday of every month. He's truly a one man rock band as he taps his guitar for percussion and operates his foot pedal to keep the rythm going as he does his solos - incredible! There are some biker types that hang out in the back patio sometimes but don't worry, they're cool. It was funny, my best friend Gidget told me to "Get the hell out of there!" when I was on a video call with her showing all the bikes outside in the parking lot one night and some of the bikers in the back patio. read more

We (were) regular customers of the Glenn... food/beer/service/ambiance is great!........However, we noticed: - Prices have increased tremendously across the board. An $8.00 burger jumped to $12.00 and is now $18.00+ with some food items doubling in prices since 2021. That's a 100%+ increase on some popular food items! -Happy hour - be careful!! - some food items on the "Happy Hour Menu" are not at the listed happy hour prices but rather the full dinner prices. (one only finds out when you get the bill!) -The infamous "Fair Wage Fee" 3% at the Glenn (15% to 20% at other spots) for kitchen, or "back-of-house," workers. I understand food prices have risen since Covid, but to add another "Fair Wage Fee" to the bill and have customers foot the bill is outrageous! Shouldn't the Employer pay a fair wage to their workers to begin with???!!! It's another way employers can pay minimum wage to their employees ($13.65 per hour) while asking customers to pay the "fair wage fee". The employer should pay their employees fair wages to begin with! So in other and simpler words: The house gets richer, customers get duped into paying a fee that the Employer should pay to begin with..... There are plenty of restaurants that have stayed clear of this controversial "Fair Wage Fee" and have simply raised their prices. With all that, we stand on principle, and it probably won't make a difference in their attendance, but The Glenn has lost our business for good! read more

I love the Glenn. Dive bar atmosphere with really good food. Specials all week and fun date night stuff like bands, trivia, etc. if your looking for fine dining this is not your place. But, if your looking for fun, laid back atmosphere, and good food then you found the place. Plus, they have a decent patio to soak up the sun with plenty of shade. read more

Had the worst service in the last two or three years at The Glenn today (and we eat out 5 or 6x per week). Absolutely horrific service. Left zero tip, and I never do that. Came in for lunch on Sunday afternoon around 1:45 PM. It was just my 5 year old daughter and I. We were seated relatively quickly and the guy that seated us brought us waters. 8 to 10 minutes later, our waitress shows up. We were ready to order since we had lots of time to look at the menus, so we ordered immediately. My daughter ordered an orange juice and a grilled cheese with fruit. I ordered a breakfast burrito WITHOUT meat and a coffee. The waitress said "do you want maybe some green peppers instead of the meat?" I said sure. About eight minutes or nine minutes later our food shows up. No coffee no orange juice. Waitress says "can I bring you anything else?" I said well the coffee never showed up. About 3 to 4 minutes later, the coffee shows up with my daughter's orange juice. The coffee was luke warm at best. I was going to tell the waitress, but that was the last we saw her until she brought us the check. I had to get up to get more water from the bartender myself. Any hope of getting coffee was long gone. The dirty dishes had been sitting in front of me for a solid seven or eight minutes when the waitress shows back up and asks if we were ready for the check. LOL. Here's the kicker: I ordered a breakfast burrito WITHOUT MEAT AND THEY CHARGED ME $1.50 EXTRA TO NOT, YES TO NOT PUT MEAT IN IT! Are you f___ing kidding me??!?! They also charged me $2 for my daughter's O.J. which was supposed to be included with the kid's meal according to the menu. The kid's meal was also supposed to come with an ice cream sundae according to the menu. I wasn't even going to ask at this point. I really don't even remember how the food was at this point because I'm ready to punch someone. Bad service will completely overshadow good food for me. I waited about an hour to cool down and tried to call to talk to a G.M. The guy that answered the phone said there wasn't one there and that I needed to call back and talk to Ryan or some other guy who I don't remember. ONE OF THE WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCES I HAVE HAD IN RECENT MEMORY. When I get bad food at a restaurant, I just shake my head and don't go back; when I get bad service at a restaurant and then get kicked in the nuts with the bill, I get super pissed and make it my mission to make sure to tell everyone I can....
