While exploring Montreal, we stopped by Poutinville after a late start to our day. None of us had a specific craving, but the menu full of creative poutine options quickly won us over. I ordered the China Poutine, which came topped with fried chicken and flavors inspired by Chinese cuisine. It was far better than expected--savory, unique, and surprisingly reminiscent of an actual Chinese dish. My friends went with the classic version, and they thoroughly enjoyed it as well. The restaurant was short-staffed during our visit, but our waitress did an excellent job managing the tables on her own. Despite the wait, the experience was worth it. If I lived in Montreal, I'd happily return to try more of their inventive poutine creations.

The food was very good and the service was excellent. It was our first time trying poutine here, and our server was extremely helpful with recommendations. Everything came out quickly and fresh, and the portions were very generous. Definitely shareable and great value.

It offers a great varieties of poutines. If you like poutine, it'd be a great place to try. The staff was friendly and professional. The setup was simple. I liked my Montrealor and it came with a fried dill pickle

I was with a group of people who wanted poutine for dinner, but in our party we had 2 with gluten issues, one being severe. Fortunately, she uses a website or application that provides useful information. Poutine can be a challenge, because sometimes the gravy contains gluten. Fortunately, Poutineville, in general, gets good marks. Unfortunately, there are 5 of them in Montreal, only 3 of them rate well on gluten-free - this one was the best and most convenient, and we all had a very satisfying dinner, with a variety of poutines, and zero issues. We started with several types of drinks which included non-alcoholic and alcoholic, and of those it was a variety of beers and cocktails. These all came out quickly. My cocktail was quite strong. Apart from those ordering gluten-free poutines, the rest of us ordered from their "International" menu. Mine was the Portuguese, which focused on chorizo. Again everything came out quickly. Now, were the poutines authentic/traditional? Some were. Were they delicious? Absolutely. But I was amazed at just how many garden peas were atop my poutine. I have nothing against peas, just surprised at it. With so many places in Montreal to get poutine, this wouldn't necessarily be high on my list in general, but it definitely worked out very well for this particular group of friends.

I love poutine! As an American no one does poutine like Canadians... every time I go to Canada I look for an excuse to eat poutine damn near every day. The reviews were good- so we hopped an Uber and went 20 mins for dinner. They were busy- I'll give them that, but when we saw the pile of dishes on the bar that hadn't been bussed and the tables full of people without plates in front of them and line at the door we should've known to go ahead and leave. We had a party of six and we were seated after about 10 minutes. We waited another 10 minutes and had our order taken. Then the real wait started. 45 minutes later and we still did not have our food. We checked with the waitress and then suddenly two of the meals we ordered arrived. Clearly, they had been sitting in the window for quite some time. The plate itself was hot, but the food was not. My mother-in-law got a veggie sandwich that was literally a quarter of an inch of grilled vegetables and some cheese on a giant bun. I wouldn't judge them on that alone. It's a poutine place not a sandwich shop and definitely not someplace for vegan food. She got regular fries, and they were soggy, logged with grease, and cold. Finally, my poutine came out... it was literally just a side order of poutine and I also ordered a pogo. My poutine was ice cold. Not even a little warm. I couldn't even eat it. I couldn't get the server's attention to have her take it back and heat it up or bring me something else. At that point, I would've been happy with a salad or something cold, as long asI got to ear after 12 hours of travel. Everyone at the table had their food and was finished and my pogo still had not arrived. She comes after the third time of me asking her and another server and brought me a plate that was so hot she couldn't hold it, but the corndog itself was cold. I didn't even bite into it, I touched the outside, felt that it was cold, and broke it open, and it was not even warm on the inside. Clearly our food was prepared, it just was never ran. I don't know if they had a shortage of servers or what, but at that point stop taking DoorDash and Uber eats orders and focus on your diners. Food was going out the front door, but nothing was coming to our table. Nothing we got the entire meal was hot or fresh. I handed my food back almost as soon as it came to the table, and they still tried to charge me for it. The food was inedible to begin with, but who wants to sit and eat when your entire table has already had their meal and is ready to go? What a shit experience. So here I am in my hotel eating a pb&J I scraped together from the breakfast nook.

There are quite a few poutine spots in the area but decided to try this one. The reviews were really good and there were so many varieties of poutine. We placed an order ahead and the order was ready for pickup in a timely manner. The poutine was really good. Everything was very flavorful. You can make whatever modifications you need on the different types of poutine so it is to your liking. You also get a hefty portion so there's a good chance you'll have leftovers. My only critique would be the amount of cheese curds on the poutineville poutine. There were significantly less curds than on the farmer poutine. Other than that, they were both delicious.

I've only ever had poutine in Montreal, and I went back to have it again! From an American standpoint, this restaurant kind of gave me a family, friendly vibe with your standard poutine and milkshakes. You can also play board games while you eat! Handicap-accessible single stall bathrooms in the back.

When in Canada, poutine is a must. Stopped here after a concert late at night and glad they were opened. The service was ok and can definitely use some attentiveness. We ordered the China large and classic large to split amongst 5 people. The fries weren't as crispy as I thought it would be and the chicken in the general Tso was severely dry. I would stick to the classic. Overall not bad.

I was glad that we experienced it. First time in Montreal and it lived up to expectations. The gravy was tasty and I wish it was not as salty but what do you expect with ham?. But the fries went soggy fast. Who ever invented it must like mushy food?

Poutineville is a great spot for those wanting poutine and only poutine (not necessarily authentic poutine, but poutine nonetheless). How many times can one write 'poutine' in a review, I wonder? We got the classic poutine with cheese curds and gravy, as well as the option with pork on top. The fries were excellent, the sauce was flavorful, and they have plenty of 'internationally-themed' poutine options! Only reason I'm knocking off a star is related to the service and interior, which were both nothing to write home about.

Pretty good and quick poutine service. We went with the Montreal poutine. Very filling and decently priced. Probably would have liked more spice or flavor, we added jalapeños. Casual ambiance. But all in all, good poutine. Maybe not the best but definitely hits the craving.

Gotta have poutine while in Canada and Poutineville does it so well! There are pages of options to pick from! I love the world options with different elements from national favorite dishes. The poutines are cheesy, savory, and so delicious. Each regular portion is huge and very filling! The restaurant is big and spacious so lots of seating is available.

Great place specializing in all things Poutine. I went there as their base poutine is gluten free which is a requirement for me. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable and was a great server. I had a great meal.

We walked around a lot in this area and noticed that Dunn's looked old school and had smoked meat so we gave it a try. The wood and leather booths gave this 99 year old establishment an old school vibe. We were seated pretty quickly in a small booth. Hockey was on TV so that's a good sign. I was not super hungry so I ordered the smoked meat on a bagel, Andrew got the sandwich. The food came out fast but not overly fast. My bagel sandwich was tasty. I liked the thin cut of meat. The fries were as soft as mashed potatoes. They were warm but not close to crispy. Andrew liked his sandwich as well. The bathroom was quite the experience, it was at the bottom of a long, steep staircase in the basement. It worked, lighting was ok, but it was a climb out of there! Come here for a simple quick bite and stick to the sandwich. It's good!
