I've been going to Dr. Stornetta since 2018. He has helped me recover from various injuries I have collected over the years, mostly from Jiu Jitsu sparring sessions, as it creates a lot of torsion and stress on the body. I am an athlete, and he has a background in athletics. Dr. Stornetta understands how to approach my injuries and treat them, while also giving guidance on what to do after leaving the office to continue the healing process. He has been invaluable in helping me continue my physical training, long term, and staying active in the dojo and at the gym. Most of the time, I only need to see him for spinal and joint maintenance, but in times of injury, I see him more frequently until I am healed, then return back to a maintenance phase. He only schedules me as often as I need, and never over-schedules. I appreciate his honesty and integrity. He is a professional to the fullest, and he and his staff are on top of their game. I've had to have some specialized chiropractic care and this is the first place I've been able to find it in Reno. Dr. Stornetta has a special bed that helps to stretch out my spine because I have some compressed/bulging discs that have caused problems. I enjoy talking with Dr. Stornetta. He's a nice man and we always have good conversations. I love the other therapies... like the heat, the ice, the TENS Unit machine and my favorite is the hot water Massage bed. That is the best! It's really great in the winter time when I come in cold. Warms my muscles right up before my adjustment so I don't get any pulls or strains. His staff has always been kind and helpful. I'm so thankful I have such a safe place to come and a Doctor who listens to my specific issues and has been able to walk me through my injury to less pain and almost no migraines on a regular basis. read more

Went again 2nd appointment, they reduced the fee from $145 to $74, still very helfty. Won't go back there because of this big amount fee and no transparency. Dr. Stornetta is the best doctor you could ask for! My husband and I have been seeing him for over 7 years now. I couldn't have made it through my second pregnancy without him. My first pregnancy sent sciatic nerve pain through my legs, and thankfully I had none with my second pregnancy thanks to him. Now - I look at going to the chiropractor like I do the dentist. Preventative maintenance. In the event of a flare up, they always get me in and Dr. Stornetta also has so much insight for helpful exercises too. I'm beyond grateful for Dr. Stornetta's excellent bedside manner - he is so fun and so personable; and to have that in a healthcare provider is extremely hard to find these days. His assistant Michelle always knows what to do for my muscle stim, so as a team it's really above and beyond with their customer service. I don't feel like a number. I feel like family. Dr. Rutherford helped me figure out issues that I had been dealing with for over a decade. Before him, I was continually let down when I went to a doctor and they would simply tell me that my blood work was "fine." He helped me figure out what was causing my issues and how to overcome them, as well as developed a maintenance plan that helped me get back to normal. I highly recommend him and his staff. I cannot describe how much different my interactions are with Dr. Rutherford vs. interactions with my regular doctors. My appointments with him are what an appointment with a doctor should be like. I see him for hashimotos and the complications that come along with that. It took almost 2 years and countless doctors to figure out what I had. They told me all but one of my symptoms were not from hashimotos. I found Dr. Rutherford on a podcast as I had to resort to helping myself. Dr. Rutherford wiped away 3 years of feeling terrible within 3 months. I am now almost symptom free, and we are working on that currently. I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Stornetta and the team at power health. Originally I went in for a one-off adjustment and was able to increase my lifting performance drastically, particularly with my bench press I was unable to fully retract my shoulders (this was explained in detail) and after one adjustment it was night and day difference. This allowed for easier retraction of the scapula during bench. Moreover recently, I received a nerve pinch/ neck injury while moving an awkward piece of furniture. It happened on a Friday, and I was in so much pain that I had to resign to one of the local drive-through membership-based chiropractics (we all know who). My condition worsened, and I literally felt paralyzed all weekend. Thankfully, I called Power Health in a jam monday morning and they were able to see me on an emergency basis. I walked into power health like a crippled young man and left vibrant and rejuvenated feeling like myself again. I am so happy to have found Dr. Rutherford. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism as a late teen and put on medication but never felt like the medication helped all that much, I was still tired and cold. Then in my 20s with no help from doctors all this time, I read a book by Dr. Kharrazian, "Why Do I Still Have Thyroid Symptoms?" and figured our I had Hashimoto's. Over the years I have been to several doctors and nutritionists to work on my thyroid health. While they helped a little none helped me get down to the root cause the way Dr. Rutherford was able to do. He knew Dr. Kharrazian and understood Hashimoto's Thyroiditis far better than any doctor I have ever seen. I was at the point where my health was so bad I had little to no energy or desire to much of anything, which was not like me. When I met with Dr. Rutherford he amazed me with the way he could read my blood work and see how best to treat me as an individual. There were a lot of supplements to take each day and at times the diet was hard for me but that is also what I love about Dr. Rutherford, through these supplements and diet he was helping my body to work for me. I still have to take my daily thyroid medication, however, now at 40 years old my body is working better to process this medication to benefit me the way it should. I also take just a few supplements each day for my thyroid health. I can live with this because I feel better than I have in years. I wake up feeling better and I have more energy in the day, I feel like I have my life back! I have also referred Dr. Rutherford to my father who has Rheumatoid Arthritis. He was so bad and having a lot of pain and swelling in his knees and having a hard time walking and was sleeping almost all day. Again Dr. Rutherford's knowledge and experience is worth every penny, my father is feeling better and has a significant amount of his strength and energy back. We are so grateful! Since my father was doing so well too, I referred a friend who has several health issues, including thyroid issues. When I asked her how she was doing a few weeks into treatment, she said this was the best she had felt in 10 years! Although she is not done with treatment and none of us are cured from what ailments we have, we all have a greater measure of health and energy we had been missing in our lives.
