The level of care by Dr Robinson is amazing. I have a hip condition that I have to live with & with Dr. Robinson's care, I can live a productive life. He knows body structure so well .. and the care given to each patient is individual & specific. He doesn't give the same treatment every time, treating & knowing what is the true 'cause' of the pain or discomfort. As a very active adult, good chiropractic care is very important to me. I am a regular here and visit at least once, if not twice a week. Both Doctors here are great! They helped me with a snowboard injury and got me back up to the mountains within one week. Since most insurance companies don't cover chiropractic care, The Joint makes it affordable for everyone. They charge $69 a month, for 4 visits per month. I find that very affordable, since my old chiropractor would charge me almost that same amount for just one visit. This place is a god sent!! The only reason I say that is because it's open till 7pm and no appointment is needed. So lets talk about what they offer here.. I came into this location about 2 weeks ago and I was having major issues with my C-3 & C-4 disks in my spine. The Doc saw me right away and gave me a reasonable plan to resolve my issue after he relieved some pain in my neck and upper back. I no go 3 times a week and as a veteran they even gave me a huge discount. Another plus about this place is they're even opened on Saturdays which most chiropractic place are closed. I have been coming to this location since January 2015. I've seen doctors here come and move/open to/a new location and they were all great! I believe this was the first The Joint Chiropractic in Reno. My chiropractor in Sacramento was awesome and I had to find a new doctor when I moved to Reno. I signed up for the monthly membership after my initial "transfer" of treatment. I have kept the membership all through these years and very happy that I was grandfathered in from the old rate. The current primary doctor here is Dr. Robinson and he's been fantastic!!! He's a pleasure to converse with and he's always done a great job. Waiting room already packed, filled out my paperwork since it was my first time. 3 other men waiting Started talking about how they have been waiting an hour to be seen. Would 100% not recommend wasting your time here. I made an appointment for my husband at 11:30 because he's been having back/shoulder pain. He filled out his paperwork by 11:32 and was told 10 minutes. Turns out it wasn't 10 minutes and lots of walk ins came in and got treated while he sat there. After 35 mins of waiting and being told "10 more mins a couple times" he left. Super sad he had to waste so much time there to not get any treatment :( read more

Stay away - I had a membership for 4 months and they did more harm than good. They do not do any x-rays or diagnostic which for my condition made it worse . They also make it harder than hell to cancel and end up charging you for months you do not use. read more

I went to The Joint today for an adjustment before heading back to Idaho. Road trips and hotel beds never help my back, and i happened to see The Joint on the way to Starbucks the day before. I called to find out if I could come in, even if I had a Joint membership from out-of-state. I was happy to know that Jointers can go to any Joint in the country. The front desk person was very nice and - like any Joint I've been to - you scan your tag and take a seat in the waiting area to wait for your adjustment. I didn't have to wait at all on a late Monday morning. I chose this particular Joint because of Yelp reviews and I wasn't disappointed. By far, this was the best adjustment I've had at a Joint. Dr. Delacruz should train all chiropractors at all of the Joints across the country. I liked the fact that he was efficient but gentle, had a great touch and good "table"-side manner. By "a great touch" I mean that it doesn't take long to first touch a few trigger points or loosen a neck before an adjustment, but very few Joint chiropractors do it. Dr. Delacruz does and I really appreciated the quick but attentive service. I wish this was my home Joint. I am so excited to say I now have a chiropractor in Reno! After childbirth 27 years ago, my sacrum was so far off alignment, that I walked with a very noticeable limp. Along with that, chronic neck pain. After trying several difference Chiropractic offices (some appointments were 45 minutes and $75) with no relief. The extras were nice, but I am looking for long term results. So, with that said..... a 15 minute appointment that gives relief is a GOD sent. I don't need the fluff, I can get a message for that...... I was adjusted on a drop table to start, had my hip adjusted, mid-back (btw rarely has a chiropractor been able to adjust that part of my back), hips, neck (one of the best neck adjustments ever). From 5 stars to 1. Firstly I loved the service when I started. I felt cared for and was excited to build a new relationship with a new chiropractor (former Californian). As most people my health insurance does not cover chiropractic so I must pay out-of-pocket. Due to this I can't get services as often as I would prefer, also I'm currently not employed. So I'm forced to go when I can afford it. My first time there was great. I really connected with the doctor and felt care for, and in less pain. My last 2 visits were quite the opposite. The doctor seemed annoyed that I hadn't been coming to regular visits. I felt he had zero empathy for anyone's individual situation and was treated as if I didn't give a dam about my health & welfare. As a result the adjustment was one of the quickest I'm ever had. Today's visit was the worst ever. I was scolded about not coming in for 3 months. Asked if I lived in Reno. This was followed by the quickest adjustment ever. I was told my upper back was tight & to return in 2 days.. There is No doubt that I will never return to this location!! For what? A 2 minute adjustment that cost me $39.00. I understand the business model of this company to heard people in and out but what about trying your hardest to make your patient s feel better?? At my California location the chiropractor could use many other modalities to help with adjustments. He also gave me exercises for home care. This doctor did seem interested in anything except getting onto the next patient. read more

I was hesitant to come here but I was also in a lot of pain and we do crazy things when we are in pain. It was a weekend and my regular guy doesn't work on the weekends so against my better judgment I decided to check out The Joint. I should have read reviews first. Someone nailed it - if you just need a run of the mill adjustment then this place is probably great. If you have ongoing issues, this is not the place for you. While sitting in the lobby area filling out paperwork I heard the front desk lady trying to talk someone into a monthly plan that they couldn't afford. At this point, I should have gotten up and left. A hard sales pitch at the counter tells me they are more interested in your continued revenue than in fixing you. But I didn't leave. Instead, I got manhandled and left in more pain than when I arrived. I was holding back tears when I gave the lady at the counter my card to pay. The guy that adjusted me pulled on my neck so hard that I slid all the way up the table. I am a tiny woman, that much force was not necessary. I got about half the adjustments my usual guy makes and he sent me on my way. I was also in a room with 2 other tables and people on them. I can't say I enjoyed that either. I would like privacy while getting adjusted. I am sure there is a market for this cattle-style of chiropractic care but it certainly isn't for me. You get what you pay for... read more

I have been to two other Joint chiropractic locations before, so I understand the flow of a walk-in clinic. I was never blown-out-of-the-water-impressed, but was never as disappointed as I was when I visited this location. Normally, a quick in and out adjustment is OK once in a while. Since I was in pain, I figured I should pop in and check this location out. I visited the clinic director, Dr. Robinson. To his credit, he noticed that it was my first time in. Wow-this guy's observant. As he began the adjustment, he made weak small talk regarding my scoliosis. Now, I have a pretty serious S-curve. I've seen chiropractors for 20 years, and I'm only 30 years old. But, I figure any chiropractor should have the knowledge and training on how to treat scoliosis. He asked what was hurting, and I directed him to, well, my entire S-curve. When he began working on me, I barely felt his hands upon me. He made a sight effort to pop one section of my mid back, which did not move more than 1 vertebrae, before moving to the neck. Here, he made great strides. A whopping neck turn to each side before shooing me along to get back to tending his line of cattle. The front desk woman was, however, extremely nice, welcoming, and helpful. It was almost as if she was compensating for the lack of customer service elsewhere in the business. read more

Quick service at an affordable price that makes routine maintenance for your chiropractic care easy! Update: Reducing my stars to 3. I had hoped this inexpensive, in-and-out, no frills type of chiropractic would be the long-term answer to my back pain, but I see why some people have cautioned me that this type of chiropractic care is good for routine maintenance only. I have a headache and some neck/shoulder issues that don't seem to be subsiding even with weekly adjustments. I really would like to talk with the chiropractor and see if there is more that could be done, (maybe get an x-Ray or use the electrodes that have been used on me at other chiropractors offices) but I get the "apply ice" or "apply heat" answer each time I try and am usually asked if I'm drinking enough water. I get the feeling he just doesn't have time for additional questions or issues. I think that is likely because there are usually 2-3 people waiting for their adjustments in the same room with us. So, again...while I like the convenience and price, I think a more traditional chiropractic approach which explores the root cause of pain might be a better option for anyone with ongoing issues. Quick adjustment only? ...this is the place for you -5 stars Need actual help with a lingering back issue...not the place for you. 2 stars. I love everything about this business model and the franchises. Since I am a traveling sales professional, I cover five states both in the car and on the airplane. As a result, my back and neck suffer. I live in San Francisco but during a trip to Colorado my back seized on me. I looked up chiropractors and noticed this chain. After reading some reviews I decided to go to Colorado Springs for an adjustment. The interior is upscale and pleasant, in a minimalistic way. After filling out the paperwork the first time the admin person entered that in the database so I wouldn't need to complete this data any longer at any of their locations. Anyway, after visiting them twice I decided to get the package deal which was a great and fair price. You utilize a small card when you enter the office for scanning and after that they have all your data. The set up is like this, after checking in they will call you back since they don't take appointments and if you're not accustomed to having an open environment this might not be for you since there are typically three tables for adjustments. When I started getting adjustments many years ago, I cringed when I would hear other people getting adjustments but now oh well... I typically walk in and out in five minutes time. There are two locations in Reno and I chose this location during my last two visits. Dr. Robinson really knows his stuff, kudos! Very efficient knows all the right pressure points and gets things done right. I will be back next month. read more

It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. As soon as I walked in the I was greeted warmly and given the patient run down. The presentation they have you watch on the ipad was a nice touch and gives you a quick break down of whats going on and some of the jargon used. I love that the concept of The Joint is affordable routine adjustments. It is my day-to-day activities that can cause wear and strain on my body and especially my back. Let me start off by saying I'm new to the whole chiropractor thing. I've been having neck/shoulder pain for the past 9 months and daily chronic headaches for the past 4 months. At this point, I was willing to try anything that may help with my pain. I was recommended to see a chiropractor for an adjustment. I spent half an hour or so on Yelp browsing different reviews for different chiropractors. I came across The Joint and decided to give them a call to find out some more information. The gal on the phone informed me they don't take insurance and are a walk-in only facility. I was excited when I found this out because I thought I was going to have to wait weeks before I would be able to get in as an appointment. I decided to head down the same evening to get an adjustment. The nerves really kicked in when I got there. I've read horror stories online from around the world about deaths or being left in more pain than what they initially began with. I've even had nightmares about the chiropractor snapping my neck and dying. I tend to be a little dramatic, I know... After I filled out the paperwork, I was seen within a couple of minutes. I wish I could remember the doctor I saw; he was very kind! Before getting started, he briefly asked me about my history of pain, occupation, and lifestyle. He then asked me to lay face down. This is the part where my nightmares came to mind and I began thinking my trip to the chiropractor is going to end in a fatality. 1-2-3 and it was over with! He adjusted my neck and upper back. I can't believe how PAINLESS it was... it actually felt rather addicting. I'm an avid knuckle cracker so it didn't bother me when I heard the adjustment. The doctor recommended me to come in 2x a week for 3 weeks. I signed up for a $59/mo fee which includes 4 adjustments and $5 per any adjustment that exceeded my limit. I think that's a great deal from what I've heard about other chiropractors. I came back in four days later and saw a different doctor who was also kind. I was a bit confused when he asked "what's hurting you today? what part do you want me to adjust?" I was just following the orders given by the other doc by coming back in the same week. I wasn't actually in pain at that moment... so I just told him the areas where I'm usually hurting. The only reason why I'm giving The Joint 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the way their office is set up. Behind the check in desk there is a big room with 3 or 4 tables. I guess I expected more privacy when being adjusted. During my second adjustment, there was a man in the same room laying on the table next to me. read more

I will start by saying that both chiropractors here are very nice... That being said, I went there for this popping in my shoulder that had been there for about 8 months. He pretty much said that he didn't know what it was because everything felt aligned properly. He said it could be a growth on the bone that is rubbing against my other bones. I got 3 adjustments and none of them helped. A few months later, a massage therapist was giving me a back run. She commented that my shoulder was out of place. She grabbed my shoulder and popped it back into place. The popping was gone!! The second reason for the low rating is the membership policy. I signed up for the month with my credit card. After having 3 adjustments and not noticing a difference, I went to cancel it. I was told that the cancellation would go into affect 30 days from today. Essentially, when you want to cancel your membership, you are billed a whole additional month first! What a scam! I asked to see the paperwork and in the many pages of small text, there is a line that says this. However, I have never experienced this kind of policy. I feel like it should have been stated more cleary, since this is not a common policy with most businesses. I was very irritated that, when I felt like the service was not affective, I was forced to pay an additional $60 for the next month. read more

Super disappointed. I called this morning because I threw my neck out. The receptionist told me they don't take appointments, but to come in as late as 3:30 since they are open until 4. I showed up at 3:15 and was told I was too late. I reminded her of the phone conversation and she said she'd check with the Dr, who was seeing his last patient. She returned to tell me that it was, indeed, too late. I left upset and still in pain. I was under the impression that people went into the medical field to help those in pain.
