There were several customers in the store being helped by agents when we arrived, but someone quickly acknowledged us and added us to their computer system to hold our "place" in line while we waited. They had a cushion bench that we plopped down while we waited. Dominic T. helped us out. We headed over to his station. There was only one tall stool which my mom took. We had a unique problem, but Dominic helped us further along by getting us a sim card and finding out that my mom's current carrier only ports numbers once a day at 11 am Pacific time. So while I was waiting, I managed to pair my phone to their display and listen to it. I ordered a Bose Bluetooth speaker from Amazon; its sound was awful. After I paired the speaker, I turned it up. To my amazement, I found that other customers did not share my love of Irish music. Heathens. I only had it loud for maybe 10 seconds. I honestly did not want to disturb anyone. But you gotta do what you gotta do. Once an agent got free, it was simple. I want to purchase this. And I did and walked out happy. But still wondering how you cannot like Irish music?

But wanted to update that a few days ago (7 months later) , I got an email from apple stating activation lock is requesting my password for that old phone. They never gave me my phone back and said they give them to a company to dispose of phone. I did call to ask why I'd be getting this and he just kept telling me there's no way they got the phone on and that's all he can tell me. Told me told call Apple, I just don't know what they'd be able to tell me? He got kind of defensive because I was asking why I would get this email. I was just trying to understand it. I got on iCloud and set to erase if it's ever turned on, just hoping it's enough that they don't get any information off that phone, seems like someone's trying to get into it (even if not turned on). I'd ask to keep old electronics and destroy yourself. Writing this here just so owner knows this happened, especially if the company they are using isn't supposed to be doing anything with these phones besides destroying them.
