Outstanding Electric Company!…read more I had an extremely challenging situation with a master bathroom project after the previous contractor abandoned the job. The walls had already been tiled, and the electrical work for the fixtures had been done very poorly. Several electricians and contractors came out to look at the project, but most declined to take it on because the situation was such a mess. Then I called Lightning Bug Electric, and they were absolutely fantastic from the very beginning. They immediately arranged for Cody to come out for a site visit. He took the time to really understand the situation, carefully thought through each challenge, developed a plan, and provided me with a quote on the spot. I was incredibly impressed with his knowledge, professionalism, and willingness to take on a difficult project that others had walked away from. The very next morning at 9:00 a.m., two technicians arrived and got to work. Marcus and Anthony were brilliant, respectful, hardworking, and incredibly skilled. They navigated an extremely complicated situation with expertise and a great attitude. Not only did they never seem frustrated by the challenges they encountered, they were so kind and courteous. They took the time to do the job correctly rather than taking shortcuts. What impressed me most was that all three--Cody and the two technicians--mentioned how much pride they take in their work. And it absolutely showed. The quality of the work was outstanding. They were professional from start to finish, communicated well, showed up when they said they would, and left me feeling confident that the electrical work was finally done properly. Lightning Bug Electrical exceeded my expectations in every way. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for knowledgeable, professional electricians who genuinely care about the quality of their work. Five stars without hesitation!

Our search for a home generator began with a candid, comprehensive assessment of our needs. Mr. Williams assured me a 26K unit would suffice (after earlier contractors pushed larger, much more expensive units). At every step, the process unfolded just as I was told. When the generator arrived, it was easy to set up the site visit to begin work. Dustin and his crew arrived on time, worked efficiently and got the unit installed with no problems. Dustin walked me through that process as well. And when the gas company (finally) made the necessary connections, Dustin was back out to finish the job. Again, with great explanations and a step-by-step tutorial. When they finished, my yard looked even better than before they began the work. Masters Generator is tops in my book. It was a comfort to work with just one lead electrician. Dustin was knowledgeable, professional, and welcomed all my rookie questions. I will DEFINITELY use this service again for any electrical needs. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

With hundreds of electrical service companies to choose from, I quickly went for one of the few with the highest customer reviews and compliments. I took a chance on Master of Generators and Electrical Service and am happy that I did. I almost canceled because it was nearly 4 pm, and I hadn't heard from them since 2 pm. I wasn't confident Christian could finish the work before dinner time. When I called to cancel, a professional lady offered to get Christian and Jeremy's ETA, which went well. They apologized for running behind schedule. However, I am not off the hook because I should have believed MGES when they stated that the electricians would "arrive between the hours of 12 pm and 4 pm," which I now know, in hindsight, they would have. Christian and Jeremy are fantastic electricians. They came through the door dripping with experience, confidence, and wonderful personalities. One worked on the hallway light fixture while the other tackled the dining room. When Christian put up the flush mount fixture for the hallway within 10 minutes, he joined Jeremy to help assemble a complex chandelier. That chandelier encompassed several bars to connect to eight lights. Despite my initial concerns, the task was completed in a remarkably short time, with the total service time being under an hour. Christian and Jeremy not only met but exceeded my expectations. Their service was impeccable, and the price I paid for such efficient and high-quality work was more than reasonable. I will be using Master of Generators and Electrical Service again.

The electrician that was sent out to our home to provide us with a quote for a Ford Electric Car…read morecharger installation was about as slimy as a person can be. He immediately started to criticize our home, said that he, "Could tell that it was old." His definition of old must be less than 15 years because it's barely seen more than a decade so far. He also told us that because we lived in a townhome, it was more complicated because it wasn't like a "real" home. Meanwhile, I'm pointing to the garage wall that is shared by the electrical panel itself with room for two extra breakers. You can't get much more straightforward than that. He began telling us that it wouldn't be approved by the county inspector unless we started buying extra equipment beyond what the charger and installation covered. So we start asking questions about price according to what he though the correct solution was. He assured us that he had personally done over 2,500 installations of these charger units, but that he was absolutely forbidden to talk to us about price. I asked him why would his company be ashamed of their own pricing? His reply was that it wasn't Capital City Electrical Services that insisted on them not mentioning anything about cost, it was QMerit that forbid them from talking about it. It did not take much effort to find out that QMerit has bought out Capital City Electrical Services, and are therefore the exact same company now. He insisted that installation doesn't cover having to cut into the sheet rock at all. Just in case anyone is unaware, you have to cut into the sheet rock somewhere if you're going to install a new 240 line. The electrician began telling us what our options were. I asked him what the difference was, he replied, "Cost. The money is the difference." When I asked him how much different is the money he replied, "I can't tell you that." I informed the guy that if he didn't have enough experience installing these units to provide me with a ballpark idea of what the cost difference was between my options, then I wouldn't be able to tell him what I wanted. Somebody was going to have to budge and talk about the price of our options. He insisted that he would love to, but that QMerit insists that they can't discuss price until after they plug in what they're going to do. We will be getting multiple bids on this project now even though Ford claims to provide "free" installation through QMerit because we no longer have any trust in QMerit to be honest and transparent with us about their pricing or even open and honest about Capital City Electrical Services being owned by them. If they are willing to lie to a homeowner's face about QMerit and Capital City Electrical Services being completely separate companies, how can you trust anything else they say? If their electricians are trained to try to poke holes at your home by making ridiculous claims about its age in order to prepare you for costs well beyond what was promised, how can you trust that they place any value on integrity or even just basic decency?

Felipe and Stiven installed a Square D HEPD80 whole-home surge protector, which they explained is the brand they routinely recommend and install. The installation was completed quickly and professionally, and they took the time to answer all of my questions. The cost was a great value, coming in under $500. Felipe and Stiven were friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient from start to finish. It's clear they take pride in their work and genuinely care about doing the job right. Another reason I keep coming back to MEER is the convenience of their on-site U-Haul rental. I've rented from them many times over the years, and the service has always been just as outstanding as their electrical work. It's hard to find companies that consistently deliver this level of professionalism and customer service, but MEER has done it for me year after year. I requested TE to come out and diagnose why an existing circuit was not getting power. Instead of…read morejust fixing the circuit, I agreed to a new panel for my house since it was 60 years old. The price I was quoted was over 12k. I felt the electrician on my job, Jason S. was very high pressure in his tactics and told me I needed to decide that day, or lose potential discounts. I had also been without a kitchen for over 30 days, so I agreed to the work. The next day Jason and an apprentice come out to start the job. They take one whole day to remove and replace the new panel, no problem. Here is where it goes downhill. On the second day of work, Jason and another apprentice came out and instead of prioritizing the circuit I hired him for, they start installing the hardwired smoke detectors Dekalb county allegedly requires. This took all day! By about 4 pm, I asked if he was going to get the outlet done so I could use my dishwasher and he replied "I guess if I stay here all night". I said I guess thats what you got to do then, and they were here til nearly 8 pm. Then he made several other unprofessional comments about staying late. Jason never came back to my job. A new Electrician came out on Monday, Jason said he had an emergency job. The part where they earned this rating comes when I found out my pool motor circuit was not working on the new GFCI circuit. I explained to them it originally was on a two pole circuit and now they had it on two single poles. It was drawing 240v and they had the model number and should have researched the wiring on their own as professionals. Rather than listen to me, I had to wait all day for the new electrician (with Jason on the phone) come up with a new quote to fix which included trenching up and re-wiring my entire pool, ANOTHER 5 THOUSAND DOLLARS! I was livid. I started looking into this and it turns out I was right, it just needed a 2 pole GFCI. I talked to the second electrician the next day and told him I want to talk to a supervisor or manager. I got a call later in the day from Jeffrey who was going to look into it and get back to me the same day. He did not. He did call me the next morning and agreed to send one of his best guys out to install a 2 pole and see if that solves the problem. Well guess what, it did! And, I didn't have to pay another 5K. I expected to hear back from Jeffrey again to ensure the job was to my satisfaction as you should on a service recovery. I did not. I feel lied to, and that I was robbed and almost taken needlessly for thousands more, had I not done my research which should not be necessary as a layperson. I understand from TE employees the Electricians control the cost, and they get a commission from it. Unfortunately, I paid for an electricians summer vacation because I trusted him. Luis L and Nathan the electricians at TE, thank you! Micah, Gavin, Phillip the apprentices, thank you too! Jeffrey I thank you for doing the minimum by ensuring what I paid for was completed. Jason, no thank you at all. You've sowed distrust in professionals and your industry with your practices.
