No car all weekend then Monday they towed it. Couldn't figure out anything. Then said it was my car computer's fault (despite no prior issues with that.) They said I could not l go anywhere and fix the computer. They said If I don't buy it from them( non-computer experts) and let them put it in they will void the warranty on the transmission parts and labor they already did. They did not see a problem with the computer before when they examined all the transmission parts and gave me a assessment and quote for repair. They don't know why all of sudden there is a catastrophic failure right after they installed the transmission. They say they are not liable for the computer. It was blackmail. I reluctantly agreed to have it put in for $250 so I could get my car back. Then the owner of the business a Ms Bingham called me insulted me and said if I did not withdraw my BBB complaint she would raise the cost of the fix to $700. When I said no. She called the shop and told them the only way I could get my car was to come down there in 30 minutes ( by closing at 5 on Friday, again) with $549 cash. They take credit cards but they said now they would not take a card from me. This is kidnapping or theft or blackmail. SURELY this is illegal??? The police said it is wrong and violation of my CIVIL rights. DO NOT GO THERE. Learn form my terrifically horrible experience. I still have no car and still out thousands of dollars.

Got a very good price on the tires and the service. Had to delay the appointment, due to back-up brake-boost system going haywire - troubleshot that for nearly a month before I could repair it (self), but the delay was no problem for Wilks - "just let us know when, and we'll make sure tires are on-hand." Great staff at the service desk (and presumably in the shop too)! Very personable, and no "up-selling" going on. We'll be using their shops for all our vehicles from now on.

I brought my 1965 Ford F-350 to this shop last year based on the recommendation of someone I…read moretrusted. I brought the truck in to repair existing oil leaks, including the rear seal, install new tires, and perform additional mechanical work. Approximately 200 miles after leaving the shop, the truck suffered an oil-pump failure and became inoperable. The shop had put synthetic oil in the engine, and my current mechanic has identified additional concerns with the work that was performed, including issues with the oil-pump gaskets and other workmanship. I have documentation of the original work, invoices, photographs, and the subsequent repairs and findings from my mechanic. I have attempted to resolve this directly with the shop and have asked them to cover the repairs related to the work I believe caused or contributed to the damage. At this point, they have been unwilling to do so. I brought my truck to them in good faith and expected it to be returned to me in reliable condition. Instead, I have incurred significant additional repair and transportation expenses. I am willing to share the shop's response as well as the documentation supporting my concerns. I would much rather have resolved this directly and fairly than post a negative review. Until this matter is resolved, based on my experience, I would recommend exercising caution before having a classic or vintage vehicle serviced here.

Two days later they called us and told we could pick up the car. They had found a loose wiring harness possibly shorting out, probably causing the problem, so they repaired this. They suggested we drive it for awhile and see if the issue was resolved. Not only did they not do a unneeded service, we were not charged for finding the issue. Very honest people and I would use them again if needed for any further transmission service.

While in the waiting area, as they were doing their analysis stuffs, I was talking to another customer who had been traveling through on business in his service truck. He had to stay a few nights in a motel while parts were ordered and such but he was telling me how happy he was with these guys and how honest they had been with him. They could have told him anything and never seen him again but he got out inexpensively. So, I was feeling better already. They tested mine and, I was expecting scary transmission money, however they came back and found it to be a fix for under $180 since it was not an internal trans problem. Ordered the part and next day it was fixed. I had read about my problem online, and had others give me their educated guesses. They could have gotten away with telling me it was something far worse since the symptoms mimicked a bigger problem. Anyway, it was good advice that I received to bring it hear and I only wish that they could do everything I need to my truck but they have certainly earned my business and I believe they will earn yours too if you give them a shot. Long story short this "automotive mechanic" took advantage of me and charged me nearly 700 dollars for a new starter while all I needed was a new battery.
