I didn't put much in my yelp request but the other vendors quoted me higher prices anyway without an evaluation first. It started with a light not working and ended up needing a light switch replacement and rewire of the connectors to have the right wattage. Came out to $300 which was reasonable considering others quoted more for less work. JC was very professional and showed me every detail before performing any work. Juan Carlos (JC) squeezed me in on Saturday morning before his other appointments. He whooshed in, identified the problem (a standing lamp that needs to be retired), replaced the loose breaker, let me confirm that all lights and outlets were now working, gave me a safety recommendation (a space heater I'd been using was too powerful for my circuits and thus dangerous to use), and tightened all the screws on the electrical panel (noting that any electrician should do that during a visit regardless of the purpose of the visit). He did all of this over the course of about 25 minutes. And he did it for half the price that the other company charged just as the baseline fee. I've found a new electrician.

About a week ago we had the electricity go out in two adjacent bathrooms. I thought it might be a…read moreswitch that tripped, but I couldn't see one. I felt it was definitely out of my wheelhouse by then. Checked around and contacted Ray. He came to the house within a couple of hours and after inspecting the system found loose connections, an improperly fitting breaker. Fixed all of that and now everything is working fine, and all the other connections checked and in good shape. Ray was punctual, excellent communication. He responded quickly to my Yelp inquiry, and after setting up a time window for the estimate he texted me to see if he could come early! Worked carefully, thoroughly, explained everything and I feel like not only is the problem solved, but possibly a future problem averted. Very professional and respectful. He has few reviews because he just started in business, but he clearly knows what he is doing. I hope to not have future electrical problems, but if I do I will call Ray again. Thank you Ray!!
