My friends could NOT BELIEVE the level of detail and beautiful custom tiling and custom built bathroom/shower. It is truly an amazing home. I will be blending families within the next year and as we upgrade to a larger space GLM Renovations will be the first call we make. GLM Renovations offers quality, solid, custom construction that can be trusted for years to come.

We hired GLM Renovations before Covid hit, to install a new bathroom w/ shower stall, in our unfinished basement, then tear out and put in a new main floor main bath with shower in tub. For the latter, most plumbing moved, all fixtures relocated. I designed everything, planned, purchased but everything that could go wrong did. There were forgivable issues that happened to the contractor along the way which I forgave...a lot. Major illness with surgery for the owner, a pandemic and consequent work cessation, injury to the owner due to her own carelessness, another injury w/ infection to the owner due to her own carelessness and self-neglect. Then, I was just plain duped, ignored and trod upon. This is the contractor for you if you want work done where the twenty-something 'builders' say they can do it all....wrong. The bathrooms are there and have all the pieces. Everything needs tweaking, reinstalling, leveling, sanding, caulking, grout fixed. I'm fixing every surface. I have extra tile for a future tear-out and reinstall. I fear what else may have gone wrong if I weren't there all the time. They were unprofessional, dirty, messy, didn't protect workspace unless prompted, disorganized. New tile floors are uneven, 2nd bath grout looked dirty and 10 different shades. Luckily I used Mapei grout stain to go darker and evened it out. I removed all of their weird dirty yellow sanded caulk at all corners, and ordered a proper color of Mapei caulk and did all vertical and horizontal corners around tub again. They didn't install a toe-kick trim I gave to them. They didn't install two custom cabinet end panels that we had been waiting on, because apparantly 'no one had told anyone about' them and they retro-fitted them. It was crooked snd peeling away. I had to straighten it and clamp it. The new drywall had to be resanded, spackled and painted because of visible joint lines, I had all light & plumbing fixtures ready & cabinets ready and they couldn't measure and add vertical dimensions so the medicine cabinet, which the business owner talked me into, was at a very wrong height and the door threatened to shatter the glass shades above. They switched the hot and cold water on one sink. They installed the shower stall with the panels backwards and I had to have them take it out and put in an entirely new one. I had a 25 minute conversation with him about how I thought it was not correct in the first place when they dry fitted it and showed me. Both bathrooms are not on soft water, which we have, and is apparent and completely accessible. New tub, gouged; light fixture electrical box put in wrong place because they didn't ask, talk, discuss, sketch, design, plan ever and the owner never supervised. I've had electricians and plumbers in. The window they installed works very well, nothing leaks, has shorted or is on fire. I won't list the 87 other little things that came up to make this a truly harrowing experience, even with the Covid pandemic removed from all of this. They built walls, the pex plumbing was done generally correctly except for the supply lines through the wall for both toilets were a mess. Don't let the owner sell you on tiled bathrooms unless you want inexperienced hackers to make your new construction look like **** and you like grout lines 1/4" wide, tiles cut very poorly, patterns not following through. She talks a good game but does not follow through and don't let her talk you out of filing for building permits or hiring licensed electricians and plumbers. Her people don't really know much. Her only adult person with any sense and tile specialist, moved away during the summer, So when she came back to finish the job of our bathrooms, she left it in the hands of idiots instead of putting all of her attention to us since we had been waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting through injuries and Covid patiently without a word from her for longer than we should have expected since she had a lot of her money for a really long time. The bathrooms were not connected to heat ducts, I had to point that out at the end and they were able to fix that. They removed and drywalled the bad medicine cabinet. They are not decorators to say the least. I'm making it work and anyone is going to look and say it's great. Classic bad experience which is too bad because I liked the owner on a personal level. It's a badly run business. Plans weren't made for efficient use of time, space or materials. if this is typical I don't see how she ever makes any money.

They said the project could be paused for a month or two which was very reassuring. During the start of the build, I was introduced to the project manager who stated there would be weekly updates. But something happened and I never heard anything for the next two months. This was the only negative experience I had during the whole process. A new project manager took over two months later. The new project manager was great, delivering updates every week. The new project manager was extremely thorough during the new home orientation. He highlighted the areas that would be touched up prior to closing and took note of areas that I spotted during the walkthrough.

Two things that I wish we were a little different, were the quality of the finishers in the house, especially the paint on the wall walls and the finishes of trim. And secondly, they seated in our yard in the summer so we bought the house. All the seed had completely died and we just have tons of weeds in our yard but two houses down their yard is beautiful with green grass because it was built in a different part of the year. I'm hoping we can get a re-seed done so that we can have green grass this summer.

She offered me several other time slots the same day. When I arrived, my dog was taken right back and Stacy did a phenomenal job. When I took the invoice to pay to the cashier at the front of the store, the registers were empty. I saw a manager running up to the registers and was going to say "please don't run, I'm in no rush." Before I could say anything, she screamed "Austin!" twice. The door to the back office popped open and here comes Austin. He snatched, I have a paper cut to prove it, the invoice out of my hand and scanned it. He gruffly said "tip?" I stated my preference and that was it. The manager walked by and Austin said something about the schedule to her. I asked if he was having a bad day. He said "you could say that" and proceeded to tell me about his overpriced apartment and how he couldn't afford the rent. Dude, I'm just here for my dog. I get we all have bad days, but unloading on a customer about personal stuff is not cool to me. Also, instead of screaming twice, couldn't the manager have checked me out? The groomers are great. The customer service people could use some work.
