Be on time, communicate well, and don't be rude to the person who's been waiting all morning for you.

If you are given an appointment and a time frame, then you expect this company to keep the appointment. Instead they never came: I had to take a day off from work to have no one show up: I was back and forth with their customer agents and they kept leading me on and making me think their techs were coming. Then, they finally admitted that they were overbooked for that day and was there a better day for re-scheduling? Yeah...the better day was the day I took off to wait for them to come. So unprofessional...I felt disrespected. The only thing good that came out of this was finding another company that actually had someone show up when they said they would. And after reading their other reviews on Yelp, I realized so many others had the same issue with this company not showing up for scheduled appointments. People's time are precious...this company needs to remember this. They need to overhaul their scheduling commitments!!

The first heavy storm after our roof replacement happened sooner than I would have preferred, but…read moreit ended up being a good test. The new roof handled it without any water entering the building. Before replacement, the surface had blisters, cracked seams, and several areas that held water. We reviewed repair and replacement options, and the condition of the insulation made replacement the more sensible choice. The old layers were removed down to the wood deck. Most of the wood was sound, although several boards near the front parapet needed to be replaced. A self-adhered modified-bitumen system was installed over new insulation and a cover board. The chimney flashing, plumbing vents, and roof hatch were all completed individually. Additional taper was used near the rear drain to improve water flow. The Royal Renovators Inc. crew protected the front planting area and used the rear access for debris. We found a few scraps of membrane near the neighboring fence after completion, but they returned and picked them up the next morning. The final documents included photos, material information, and the written warranty. Months later, the roof is still draining well and the interior stains have not returned.

Since the building is both commercial and residiential, one of the biggest concerns was minimizing disruption to tenants, and of course keeping everything on budget and organized. From the start, Royal Renovators seemed to understand these concerns and put together a plan that worked around the building's daily operations. The existing roof was removed, damaged areas were addressed/fized, and a new roofing system was installed along with snazzy updated flashing and drainage improvements. Communication throughout the project was - chefs kiss - and we always knew what stage things were in. As expected, there were additional conditions unconvered that needed to be addressed. But, these guys were transparent about it, laid out the options like they did before, and it didnt turn into pressure or surprises. What stood out was how transparent they were when additional conditions were uncovered. Every decision was discussed beforehand and documented with photos. In the end, the new roof was completed on time, and is performing exactly as expected.

They came when they said they would, called first, did a really fast and excellent job on our repairs and installation. I had also called them way back at the start of 2014 when we first saw that we needed work but didn't actually get around to hiring someone until now, November. They honored their January estimate. My only problem (and I admit it was my fault) was the end estimate was higher than they originally quoted because we needed fascia replaced. They did tell me that would be extra, and they told me the per foot price. I forgot about that "small detail" so when they gave me the bill I was surprised at the higher amount, but then they explained it to me and I remembered they did tell me that, so it was my bad. They did do extra work and/or gave me an aluminum cover for the replaced wood fascia and did not charge me the extra amount it would have been. LOVE IT!!!! Oh, and one other thing; they originally made a mistake on the color of the gutter and so had to return a second day with the proper color but of course did not charge me extra. This was a small and understandable mistake which they promptly made good on. The workers were fast, came when they said they would, worked quietly and very cleanly. No evidence anyone had been there (we had watched them work intermittently so of course we knew they were there!) because they cleaned everything up so well. Office staff, workers and Paul (the owner?) himself were very polite and nice. What a delightful change from most companies nowadays. Highly recommend them.

The guy who came said the roof was fine, it was the gutters, but I then got an estimate online from the company with a price of $5500 to replace my roof! Meanwhile I called another gutter company I have used, and it turns out a builder who built a house next door to me a few years ago ran a pipe underground into my drain and all the water from that property is coming onto mind and flooding me out. Excellent Quality, Fair Priced, Great Communication and Problem Solving…read moreI wanted to renovate my daughter's bathroom but keep the existing vanity, toilet and tub/shower. The existing bathroom walls were water damaged with chair rail and bead board running halfway up the sides. They walls needed to be primed, plastered and painted after the chair rail and bead board were removed, a piece added to fill the gap where the vanity did not flushly meet the wall and new bullnose tiles installed where the shower/tub met the wall. Also there was a second door from the hallway into the bathroom that I wanted removed. It was sheet rocked inside the bathroom and the hall wall side matched to the elaborate molding that ran along the bottom half. The guys had to build the molding from scratch because it is no longer manufactured..The finished hallway wall looks as though it has always been there,!!! And the bathroom itself, looks roomier, bright and fresh without the chair rail and beadboard. The guys came to work promptly every morning, cleaned up every night before they left, used drop cloths and plastic sheets to protect the rest of the house. They consulted me every step of the way as they built new molding from scratch, planned out how to fill the gap and checking to make sure I was happy with the result- WHICH I WAS. Frank and Justin, the project managers, were extremely responsive to my concerns and the two on site guys were GREAT. I whole heartedly recommend Prestige for any construction project, small or big , you might be considering.
