They make you pay in full before they let you test all the components on the trailer. Electric winch did not work so i could not even connect it to my vehicle. 5 miles down the road the sidding blew off with insulation and wood scattering all over the Beltway. Proof? Refer to picture. I very seldom write a review but I feel like I need to write one this time. I took my 2008 Country Coach Intrigue 530 Motorhome to PPL in Summerfield Florida to put it on consignment. PPL had just taken over that location. I signed a 90-day agreement and left it in their hands. I agreed to put tires on it and fix some minor issues that were needed. The coach wasn't listed for sale for one month after I left it and the photos on the website were so bad that no one would even come to see it. I complained and new photos were taken that were not much better. I did not hear from PPL at all during the three-month contract, no offers or any movement at all so I notified them I would be picking it up. There is a switch plate missing inside that I cannot replace because there are none available. The door light is broken and is literally hanging from the side of the coach. I picked it up and was presented with a $12,371.39 bill. I replaced the wiper blades 6 months ago and PPL replaced the wiper blades again @ $167.00 I had the roof re-sealed one year ago and PPL charged me for a reseal@ $ 1375.77 The bill has a total of $10,039 labor . I had to pay $12,000 to get my motorhome back which was a shock to my bank account. I did sign an agreement to repair some items but not to redo items that did not need repair. I was also charged $495 for a premium cleaning which was not done. When I picked up the coach it was dirty inside and out. There are white streaks coming down from the "newly sealed" roof. The windows are dirty, the inside smelled like cigars, and it was never smoked in by us, we don't smoke. The inside was not clean. The wheels were dirty. I didn't see any evidence of a $500 clean job. I am posting this as an FYI to others who may be considering using PPL and is only my experience with this dealership. PPL Review: Below is a good example of what you might expect from PPL in the way of customer service and the skill level of Tech's that work on your camper. Replaced the cooling coils on refrigerator. When reinstalled, the technician did not push the refrigerator fully back into position allowing warm air into the fridge causing condensation to drip onto the floor. There is also some damage to the top of the drawer located directly under the refrigerator. The technician also did not install the trim correctly around the refrigerator. Technicians replaced the washer and removed the left hand door to get better access to the unit. When door was opened the door literally fell off the door frame. When I tried to reinstall the door I found that all the screw holes where stripped out, not allowing the screws to tighten the hinges to the door frame. Also scratched wood trim in several places. Technicians closed slide outs after replacing the washer, they did not clear the area and the living room slide out ran over a window screen. When I opened the slide outs the slide out dragged the screen into my living room wall, punching a hole into the wall. Tech repaired wire on 12V water pump. When he crawled into the space to repair the pump he broke off the back side of the shower water hose. This leaked into my cargo compartment for weeks. The water and humidity wrinkled the outside skin around the cargo hatch. I repaired water leak. Skin is permanently wrinkled and you can see it clearly on the outside of camper. Tech replaced inside back wall of camper due to water damage. During that process one of the wall mounted lights was damaged and now does not work. Disappointing that I made management aware of all of the above and received very little feedback. read more

Totally unresponsive to phone calls. Will not keep you informed on any way. I was told the day we put ernest money down that we would close in 2 weeks. I didn't understand the holdup because I came in with financing so all that needed to happen was the pre-purchase inspection and cleaning. Two weeks came and went and I hadn't heard a word. I finally called them several times before I actually spoke to my "sales" guy. He said he'd check with financing to see when they could close on me. I reminded him I already had financing and he said "oh yeah, you're right. I remember now." So we finally closed on my unit two and a half weeks later and some parts had to be ordered for a few issues that came up last second. I was told they would send someone to my trailer the following Monday to address the issues. No one contacted me to arrange for me to meet the tech at the trailer. I had to stop by and speak to them to get a time was set up. I called 30 minutes prior to the pre arranged time and was told "it may not happen today as it's a really busy Monday." Even though I was scheduled to be worked on this busy Monday the previous week. It's now 30 minutes past the arranged time the work was supposed to begin and I still haven't heard from anyone and honestly don't expect to. I hope you can find a more customer oriented company to do business with. I felt like an afterthought the entire process. Do not recommend. **EDIT** The call came. I'm on my way to meet the tech. Suprise surprise. All the parts weren't ordered so they'll have to come back. I don't think so Scooter. ** EDIT** Wrong part was ordered. Tha saga continues. We went to the new brunsfel location looking for a travel trailer after ours had been destroyed in a hail storm. It was very frustrating to deal with them. No one ever returns your calls. We would have to call several times a week, we did buy an RV from them only because it was the one to suit us best. We paid extra for an inspection and detailing, neither one was satisfactory. PPL Motor Homes charged me $35 for a cheaply made, flimsy aluminum "drip cap". However, they didn't include the screws needed to attach it. When I asked them about the screws, they ignored my email. When I persisted, they flatly refused to send me the screws, and told me I would need to go buy my own. Just to be clear, this product is designed to be mounted with screws, and includes pre-drilled screw holes. I won't do business with this company ever again, and neither should you. IMO, any company which treats their customers with such arrogance and disrespect doesn't deserve to exist. read more

We had a good experience at PPL. No pressure. You are given a list and a map. Sign in and travel trailers are Not locked. It is 90 degrees this morning while we looked. Jackie came by in a golf cart and offered us a ride. She took us around to a few different travel trailers that she thought would suit our needs. I would never recommend PPL for any RV service for the following reason: I took my RV in for service that was to take only 30 days, but took a total of 4 months. For the first 3 months my RV simply sat because I was assigned one service advisor who then left PPL. Due to a lack of management oversight, no new advisor was assigned until I called to inquire about progress. Over the next 2 months this same scenario of employee turnover occurred once again, so that after 3 months NOTHING had been done for service. After being assigned a third advisor and after significant discussion with management, service finally started. But more problems developed due to neglect by a service technician who left open during a huge rainstorm an outdoor cargo bay containing a major electrical panel, causing this panel which previously had been fully functional to short out, requiring replacement. Once the RV was finally ready for pick up, and the technician was demonstrating the repairs, this electronic panel failed and had to be rebooted in front of me, "so that I would know how to reboot should this happen again" (which I should NOT be concerned with if the panel was installed properly). Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the service, the time involved, the communication among employees and with me, and especially with the management and their lack of overseeing their employees. read more

Bought a suburban nautilus IW60 a week ago. Shipping went well, very informative, as well as on time and precise. That being said, I took the new unit out of the box, hooked it up, and it worked!! For all of five minutes. I can turn it off and back on and it will work for another five minutes. I've replaced my regulator, installed new gas lines, and had the old ones that remain cleaned and inspected. I've checked and rechecked gas pressure and water flow. I've connected, disconnected, cleaned, and reconnected wiring; all the while ensuring voltage was sufficient. All of this thinking I've done something wrong only to come to the conclusion(with help and after too much money spent) that the unit is a dud... I'm not satisfied, and after spending two weeks salary on a product, you'd hope it worked. Not the case in this situation. read more

These people don't do what they say they are going to do. When you question them I got responses like they are irritated with me. They have not followed through on what was promised and just stick to their excuses. Last time I do business with this location. Filter out their reviews by just the consignment portion. You will see that they have 13 reviews for this location with 34 total stars, divide that by 13 and their average consignment review is 2.61 stars. Update, well they sold my travel trailer and told me I would have a check within 10 days. I waited 13 days and then called them. They informed me that they just sent my check out that day. They used the holidays as an excuse. but that should have only delayed them at most 2 days. I have bought another travel trailer and I am guaranteed to not sell it with PPL when the time comes. They did not communicate well at all with me. I still do not know what my final check amount will be. They basically did almost nothing they said they would do except sell the trailer. read more

Worst customer service EVER! Hands down! I ordered a fridge and by mistake two arrived I called the rep Ron Hunt, who was very understanding and said "you may have had another one in your cart and didn't realize no big deal just when it gets there send it back and if you have any issues give me a call." So after two attempts of trying to reach him with no success the shipping company comes and they won't take it without a return invoice or whatever that comes from the people I'm sending it to. Ok, so I call get out on hold for 45 MINUTES just to be "the next caller in line" and have it disconnect! I call back not even 30 seconds later and I'm the 19th caller in line and must wait YET ANOTHER 45 MINUTES! Only to speak to a rep who says "no problem ma'am we will get that taken care of for you I'll give this to customer service and they will give you a call on the morning." I say "can you put urgent on this or something because the shipping company said they will be back in the morning but won't take it again if I don't have this BOL?" He says "I'll get it to them ASAP" ok so no call this morning as of 9am so of course I call and I wait another 35 minutes only to speak to the rudest customer service rep every I believe her name was Tanya or something and she says "ok I'm going to look for it and give you a call back." I say "ok when?" And her response "as soon as I can." So I say "so you never called this morning so how am I supposed to expect you to call me back now as it is getting crunch time with the pick up company?" She says "I WILL call you back ma'am." Ok whatever. At this point I just want this horrible service to be done with. She calls back 10 minutes later... "hello this is Tanya with PPL motor homes, since you are the one who accidentally ordered 2 and it isn't our fault we are going to deduct $180 from your refund." And I say "why if I spoke to another rep who said it would be all taken care of and understood what could have happened with my order? Don't you think the level of poor customer service I've experienced with you guys that waiving the $180 return shipping fee would be the least you could do?" Tanya says "well it wasn't our fault." So I say "Whatever, take it out of the refund I just want this to be over with at this point." I work for a Recreation Company that also has a variety of trailers and motorhome repairs that we need done constantly and need parts but I will NEVER purchase from PPL Motorhomes again and I will make sure I spread the word about the horrible horrible level of customer service I was provided with no courtesy whatsoever. If this place is trying to be a discount parts provider, then they deserve four stars, otherwise, don't bother with them. The original box my part came in must have been opened before and was damaged prior to shipping--it had a hole in it and the bubble wrap was off and not protecting the fragile and now broken insides. When I called, the front line customer service was helpful, of course getting to them can take 30 minutes (I waited that long the first call, the second call I somehow got asked if I wanted a call back when my turn came up). The manager who I eventually spoke to about my damaged item was young, brash, and discourteous. Apparently, asking for an expedited replacement (as I'm leaving town in two days and the part they sent me two days ago was broken) was "unreasonable." I will agree that my first position, asking for a 50% discount, was a bit unreasonable, but asking them to split the cost to expedite a replacement so they could at least keep their sale seems reasonable. Instead, they lost their money and lost a customer. See what I mean about discount provider? If they want to keep growing as they are, I recommend they look down the line and strive to be more "reasonable" with their customers! When I finally got the return and refund sorted out, they charged me $10 to return the item without informing me of the charge. It took me another 30 minutes on the phone, most of it on hold, to get that charge reversed. I appreciated this latest treatment, but the poor quality of the product, and the rude treatment I received from the first manage who "worked" with me, mean that I'm keeping my review at 1 star. read more

UPDATE: I forgot my promise to relate our sales experience and it's been nearly a year. Hurricane Harvey kinda slowed us down. They sold our trailer for us and got us significantly more than we expected and FAR more than the incognito dealers (scavengers) who stopped by our house and offered only bottom dollar. We got regular updates from staff as to how many people were taking interest in our unit and discussed where we wanted to go on updating pricing. When it did sell (in less than 3 months), the owner of PPL called and told us. She is a wonderful and seemingly authentic person who wants to offer good service. Our check arrived in just several days. A word about selling your own trailer. Most of the people who inquire are dealers from small lots. They never will be forthcoming about who they are and they try to convince you that they're offering you a fantastic deal and that you'll only have a bad experience if you try to sell it somewhere else. (Nothing like having a used car salesman actually come to your house.) For us, it seemed like we should go where the fish bite and you don't get have to deal with the ones who aren't keepers. Yes we paid commission but we sold it for far more than we would have from our driveway and magazine ads. End result: more cash in hand. read more

I will say that the sales reps are polite and that's the only positive!! The company trains and encourages office personal to lie to the customers and hidden preselected customers that they will sell their products. I understand the buying process and credit scores need to be checked. Now I monitor my credit almost daily by paying all the credit agencies for a monthly service because of a bad divorce. So I know exactly what my score is within a few points!! To waste 2 and a half hours drive time one way and their credit department state my credit score is less than 600 almost 200 points lower than my actual score is disgusting!! I would like to know which imaginary and fictional credit agency there claim to use because the very night and next day I got online and reconfirmed my credit scores!! Which are not perfect and yet above 720! I truly hope the Texas AG investigates this company for any number of crimes!!! read more

We left our travel trailer in consignment for PPL Motor Homes in New Braunfels to sell. Several months later we decided to pick up our trailer since it had not sold. We found it in a filthy (despite paying for the unit to be cleaned by PPL) condition and discovered that one of the two kitchen sink's stainless steel cover grills had been stolen. We brought these issues to the general manager who gave us the excuse of Covid-19 for the lack of cleaning (but still we were charged the money for the "cleaning"), and promised us he would get us a replacement grill for the one stolen. Some months later we are still waiting for the promised grill. We have arrived to the conclusion that we were made that promise in order to get rid of us. The manager was very professional, attentive, and courteous but he sure does not have a gentleman's WORD. Our experience with PPL was very disappointing. We recommend those who plan to leave their units for sell by PPL, to make sure not to leave items which would tempt people who use five fingers for wrongdoing. Gerardo E. My order was processed and shipped quickly and efficiently. We were looking for a propane monitoring system and found the Mopeka TankCheck system on sale. The item was exactly as advertised. Makes keeping an eye on propane levels as easy as looking at an app on your phone. It also has a monitor that you can install inside the rig as well. Beware if you are from Louisiana!! Made a trip to Houston to purchase a camper and after looking at their inventory which was very nice. We even had a lady pull up on a golf cart and give us cold water. Then the fun, met the sales lady and all she did was tell me reasons why she could not close the deal that day and then finally she tells me that if I wanted to purchase the camper I would have to give a $10,000.00 down payment on a $30,000.00 camper because we were from Louisiana!! I have purchased parts from this store and always had great service but I will need to rethink this. Left their facility and called Berryland Campers and found same year, make, and model for $4,000.00 less and basically almost closed the deal over the phone with a very helpful salesman. Carrier called as expected and the delivery made at my door. Seamless! Also, the customer service is excellent too. Experience was not good. Took forever to close, some items weren't disclosed till the very end. Paid for the inspection yet a number of things were not found/disclosed. We haven't even used our trailer yet and there are a number of items small and large that are not in working order. The awning is completely ripped in the middle and only attached at the ends by maybe 4 inches of threading and the front leveler doesn't work. Communication wasn't great, documents weren't ready. Had we not started to inspect every little detail of the trailer, none of this would have been revealed for months. They wanted the sale and were hoping no one would notice. read more

Sold our RV (fifth wheel) at PPL. It was in excellent shape and had an offer within just a couple of days. Yes, had to wait another few weeks for the buyer to get financing, and yes, PPL tried to talk us into repairs which I felt were unneeded such as a new roof which they said would help it to sell quickly. After all, they do make their living on repairs. As I did not authorize these repairs, they were not done, and PPL didn't argue the point. Unit quickly sold "as is" which they do anyway. The price was about 10 pct higher than where I had assessed using RV trader, so less the commission to PPL, I got what I thought was full price. All in all a quick and easy way to sell your RV which failing health was pushing me to do. I would recommend PPL. Two caveats: 1. Research what your unit is worth and be honest. 2. Don't be afraid to turn down repairs just because PPL says it will help it to sell more quickly. read more

If I could go lower that 1 star I would........ This is the WORST place to deal with! We took our 2015 5TH wheel to their location on November 20TH and dealt with Sandra Titman. Titman was the only person that was ok to deal with (at least she would return phone calls). The sales department manager Craig P. and saleswoman Operal Amos could care less if they return calls or even completed the deal. The only time I heard from the service department (Chris Johnson) is when they wanted to repair an item they found. The sales team found a buyer which later backed out but not before the service team advised that my trailer needed $750.00 of work. Of course the sale fell thru because they drag their feet. Again in mid-March they found a buyer and this time they found another $1300.00 worth of stuff that needed to be repaired or they said the deal would fall thru. Note that all of the stuff they wanted to repair this time had just passed inspection mid-January (very suspicious)......... if you ever consider getting rid of your RV DO------------NOT CONSIDER USING PPL!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Spent an hour + $40 on Uber dropping off my RV at PPL for them to install a satellite that I purchased from them. Two days later I spent 2 hours and another $40 on Uber picking up my motor home after the service dept at PPL called and told me that the satellite I bought from them wouldn't fit. I messaged a satellite installer that night and bought the same antenna from him. He and his son came to me this morning and they had it installed, activated my receivers AND programmed my remotes in two hours for the $100 more!! Well, actually, when you factor in the Uber, it was only $20 more... Very disappointing. Not sure what their sales dept is like, but I would definitely NOT recommend PPL for service! read more

I DO NOT recommend buying from this dealer if you are out of town. We found a RV online, talked to Curtis, the Sales Rep, he gave us a small handful off issues, all that we could deal with - told him we'd make our arrangements to come out (cashiers ck, insurance, plane tix, etc)...When we got there, we found he completely MISREPRESENTED this RV!! Short summary: he said 2 windows had lifting seals - all but one were actually lifting! RV was stored indoors, however the plastic on the curtains were warn away from sun, and the awnings were sun damaged..I could go on & on, including the check engine light was on! The kicker was when we told him we couldn't buy it, he acted like he didn't care...he just got up and said ok and went to walk away! Did I mention we flew in from California?? The only saving grace was Cindy - the Customer Service gal. She was awesome. She actually walked the lot, looked at the new RV's that came in, etc etc. She even helped us with getting a rental car and where to stay and visit locally since we couldn't get a flight out for 2 days. That woman deserves a raise! I would like to say, we have purchased out of state before - a car, tractor and an RV, we have never had this problem of misrepresentation ever before - EVER. read more

Don't Buy Used RV here. Put a deposit on motorhome sales person sent me photos of all the flaws and specific areas I had concerns about. I was in California paid to have them do a 19 point inspection. Flew out there only to find major items wrong with coach one wall had water damage so bad all paper was off. Taillight fell off in my hand. They unit had not been washed in months. Generator wouldn't stay running. Sales person said "well at least we got to meet". It was awful flu all the way out there for nothing. Found a wonderful dealer NATIONAL INOOR RV in Lewisville Texas bought A couch from them. They went above and beyond to make the couch in great CONDITION. What a difference. If looking for used coach call them. read more

This was our first time buying a RV and well the experience could have been better. My wife and I arrived and walked around with no issues. I give PPL major props on allowing a stress free and push free experience. We found 4 unit we liked and wanted to take a better look. The sells man helps us for a bit and was nice but when we ask to take a test drive the guys disappear and a new guy shows up. Weird but ok. We take the test drive and the RV was nice there was a issues with the break but would be fixed before we buy the unit. We then go back and play sells man jungle as now the guys we are working has to leave too. So far so good a few weird things but over all not to bad. Then they take us to the finance guy and that where PPL went down hill. We got a man name Bill M and talk about bad. He did everything wrong. Told the loan company we had 1000 down not the 5000 we had told them. So when the bank declined us he emailed my wife and was done with us. Lucky for us I am a go getter so I call PPL and get the info for the bank. I found out that Bill failed to do his job and was costing us the sell. So I took bill out of this and worked with the bank to get the loan approved. They tell us about 2 weeks later the RV ready to pick up and since I am out of town I get a friend and drive up. We get onsite and the RV has the same issues we inform them about before we agreed to buy it. They send about a hour fixing issues and then it's ready to go. Again Bill want my wife there to sign paper but we told him in advance that she could not be there and was told it would be ok. I have to say I won't be back to this location we its time to upgrade as there staff seems to be unorganized and unable to do their job correctly. read more
