I bought a winegard automatic satellite antenna from their website. I wondered how they could sell it at such good price. Well when it came it was easy to see that it had been tried out by someone else. The manual had large patches of whiteout on the cover where someone had written info about the sat finder: model and serial numbers etc. The packing material was missing. It had no protection inside. Get this!! They sent me a receipt with a big declaration that electronic parts are non refundable!! It is now having trouble finding the sats! Oh no! Their parts "superstore" only shipped half of my order. I had to call twice to notify them of their error which kept me on hold in their "que" for 45 minutes each time. When they finally did ship my second order, I received a product that appeared as if it was used and had been returned; and the mounting/installation items were missing. After contacting them a THIRD time to notify them of the missing items . . . I got NO response or resolution. read more

After my brother's stroke, we consigned his RV here at PPL Houston. Initially, they said, "oh we can totally sell it fast for [much more money than we expected]". We were excited. He's disabled now, still owes on it, and needs the money rather than the expense. Six months later it's "we need to reduce the price by [roughly 1/3] because it smells like cigarette smoke". No one has ever smoked in the RV. We went to go see if they had it mixed up with another one or something. No. But - the wiring harness is dragging the ground, the propane tank cover has a bunch of nasty tape on it, the tires are flat, the battery cover was off, and it smells like mold because it's left unlocked and unattended when people come to see it. "We're just too busy to escort everyone". Really? Then how do you expect to sell anything? Worse yet, we found battery covers and propane tank covers from other RVs scattered around the yard. Bottom line: His RV is now worth less than it was because no one cares. They get their consignment - if they sell it - regardless. In the meantime, we're stuck repairing the damage that's been done so that it even has a chance of selling. We thought the supposed largest, most reputable RV consignment place in Houston was the way to go after trying to sell it ourselves for six months. It appears that at least the RV was safer with us. Think twice before you make the same mistake we did. read more

After arriving to pick up the $1k+ dollar fridge that I bought online through the website, I noticed that someone had apparently punctured a hole through it with what looked like a forklift tong! They ordered another one and it arrived another week later and when picked up, it had some bumps and dents on the sides that go in the cabinet. But because it was taped up, we didn't see how the top left corner, the plastic on the inside of the door handle, or the corner of the door panel were either broken or scuffed already! Air Ride Pin box arrived much quicker than expected. Shipping carton looked as tho it had been dragged down the Hwy all the way from Tulsa. And then run over a couple of times. I had to repair some mostly cosmetic damage to the hitch, and most of the "AIR RIDE" lettering is missing. I'm willing to deal with these things, but I cannot justify $120 shipping charges for this kind of indifference to customer service. I rate the freight company zero stars. Thieves is the only way to classify this company. So far they have stolen propane tanks and the 50amp power cord off my trailer that they were supposedly trying to sale. Unfortunately it is hard to sell a trailer that has a sold sign on it. The last time PPL told me they had an offer on it was 7 weeks ago and that person ultimately backed out. Which leads me to the other theft of $250 deposit that that person left on the trailer that PPL is saying now that they never collected but at the time the sales manager told me it had been collected and I was due the money. Save your self the hassle from using PPLs services as you will ultimately get the shaft in the long run. Oh and I had to threaten to file theft charges to get my trailer back. read more

Tried to buy from this company. They processed my order and sent me an email confirming. Two weeks later I called to inquire about the order and they said the order was canceled by my bank. I checked the bank while they were on the phone and the order was never placed. when I asked if the product was good in stock I was told NO. When I asked why I wasn't notified, she said the problem was on my end (it wasn't). I would not buy from them! read more

For those of you that know me I own a motor home, I love RVing but I haven't loved it lately thanks to PPL Motor Home. My unit has been in their shop for almost 12 months getting what I believe were simple repairs done. The original complaint, generator need work, two slides not working and the auto leveling system needed two jack replaced in total $8000 in repairs, the jacks was the expensive part and had to be custom made. Original I picked up the unit in October of 2017 after several promised completion dates that were missed. After I got it home and within a few hours we started loading the RV for a camping trip. I started filling up the water tanks and apparently PPL Motor Homes shut off all the valves to the tank causing it to blow up like a balloon punching a hole through the floor. I immediately called them and they said they didn't touch the vales. Then I was told they would review the security tape; i knew they were lying once he told me that. I reminded him that the unit was there for over three months and it wasn't possible to watch all the footage. That cost me $10k worth of damage that I can't prove but they did work in that area. Then I tried opening one of the slides, the ram they used was to big and darn near push the entire slide out of the Rv. They promised to fix that and the damage done for installing the wrong ram for that slide. It's still not done. Today, I get a phone call after I've tried calling them countless times; telling me that the RV is ready. You look at these pics, does it look ready? They took the unit apart and that's how they want to return it to me? They didn't even remove their tools. grease was everywhere. Even on my brand new bed that I slept on maybe 3 times? Blood from one of the mechanics was on the kitchen counter top. A pile of screws and bolts left from them not putting the bed back together. I guess I could have used their tools they left to finish the job. Here's what's been promised, they will put everything back together except damage cause by the valves being turned off because according to them they didn't do that. Did I mention that as long as I've owned it I've never shut those vales off? They also promised to repair damage cause by installing wrong ram, clean up all the grease and blood and then deliver it to me or my handyman so he can repair the floor. Bottom line is this, if you enjoy getting screwed and you own an RV, I have the place from you. Otherwise stay the hell away from these people. I ordered two sets of electric stabilizer jacks from PPL. I waited four days for tracking information that never arrived. I was not courteously notified. Only after calling them did I learn that there were "sourcing issues" related to that particular product. I subsequently requested the order to be cancelled. Three phone calls later I have yet to receive confirmation of the cancelled order or a refund. read more

My wife and I just bought a fifth wheel from PPL. We enjoyed being able to walk through the lot without being badgered by a sales rep and we enjoyed that someone showed us around our fifth wheel before we closed. However, we worked with Erik, who was our sales rep, he did an awful job keeping us updated on our process of the repairs the the fifth wheel. Most of the time we couldn't get ahold of him or his manager. Our finance rep was a nice woman, but she seemed to always be out of the office when we had questions throughout our closing process. read more

I was quite dismayed as the $9.95 advertised shipping was quite misleading as it didn't apply to the AC until I bought. Please be more upfront with your advertising. The AC unit did arrive quickly and works wonderfully though...all in all great price even with the $104 shipping cost. read more

My order was shipped almost immediately. No problems.

We used PPL to list our 5th wheel motor home in November. We were told we would get updates every 2-3 weeks. We called every month to get updates, and would have to wait 1-2 days to get an update from them on the unit. It sold on April 16, 2020 and now we are having issues getting the final payment. One person told me that it was now being handled by their "title department." Good luck talking to someone there because they don't return phone calls. One lady told me in email that the check was mailed out a week ago, still no check. Called today and they said it would be at least 2 more weeks. Not sure how that happens when the check was mailed out last week. Our unit wasn't cheap and to think we are paying 10% to plus a fee to lubricate the slides because the new owner didn't like the way it sounded when they put the slides out. Stay clear and list it yourself or find another consignment lot that treats the seller with respect since you are a customer too. read more

They were quick to consign our 2017 fifth wheel. We had it completely checked out by an rv dealer prior to consigning and it was absolutely fine. PPL has nit picked and now charged us over $1000 for repairs (part of which they caused for parts not totaling over $75. All the rest was their supposed labor). I am extremely unhappy with this company and would NEVER recommend using them. read more

Had nothing but problems getting my order shipped to me. I ordered parts on the phone, was informed all was in stock. A couple weeks later I had to call back to find out they were not in stock. Was supposed to get a partial refund, again, not done. Now three months later I get mailed a part I no longer need and can't get anyone to respond via e mail. Sold my 31' bumper pull just a two days ago. I personally wouldn't do it again, not here anyway. My contact was impossible to get ahold of, the original estimates for what you agree on at the time you list for consignment immediately go up when you walk out the door. My slides outs worked fine when I dropped it off then all of a sudden I get an email for a work order saying that they need 170 something dollars all for labor. No parts just labor, for something they fucked up. We agreed to put a new couch in it and knock out the dinette bench seats leaving just the table where i was to buy dining room chairs. Days go by and I get a phone call from my consignment contact Patricia and she says the camper is ready to list and they just need the chairs because she didn't want to list it without the chairs. I go buy some chairs and drop them. I check the website for about a week and it hadn't been listed. Finally get an email that it's listed and they posted all the pictures of the old furniture. I go down there and find out they never knocked out the dinette bench seats they reupholstered the cushions for it, just had me waist my money in the chairs. I ordered a refrigerator from these people and the order did not ship until 5 days later and one phone call from me. They said they had a glitch in their system. What I don't understand is why didn't they call me. Then I asked to talk to a manager and they said they would have Teresa call me back. I waited two days and got no call. They also said that it would show up when it's shipped the next business day and it never did show up. So I called them again and found out that it did ship. Every time I would call them I would be put in a queue normally around 20 people ahead of me. The whole time I had to listen to the same ad over and over and over again. PPL in Cleburne Texas- there salesmen and finance will tell you whatever you want to hear to try and make a sale. Beware they will charge you even though they say they won't. The RV is not represented truthfully and we lived 4 hours away. ALWAYS LOOK AND CHECK IT OUT YOURSELF BEFORE ANY PRE DELIVERY INSPECTION IS ORDERED. Called to try to check on the price and availability of a carburetor for my generator. I have what I thought was the model number of the generator but after being on hold for several minutes I was told it was just the "name" and if I didn't have the model number they couldn't help me and offered no assistance. I did do a lookup on the internet for the model number (easy to find based on the "name" - you would think their system could cross reference that) and called them back. While on hold (again) I thought I'd see about writing up a Yelp review of my experience and I am seeing many bad comments. I guess my experience it not unique and even if they have it I will have to think twice about ordering it from them. I ordered a water heater for my RV on June 24 which was a Saturday. I called on Monday to make sure the order was received.I was told that the water heater was being pulled and would ship today, Monday. I live 50 miles from the Houston Texas store. I was expecting it no later that Wednesday. It did not show up on Wednesday so I called and also tracked the package on UPS. It was being shipped out of Ohio. It is scheduled for delivery on July 3rd the day we are leaving. No one at the store informed us that it was being shipped from Ohio. I would have made other arrangements had I known this. We ordered a Dometic AC from this place since it was cheaper. Never again! I'd rather pay more from a company that will actually respond when you call or email. The AC was messed up after we installed it and this place wouldn't respond to emails or return my calls. I had to take this thing apart and fix the fan myself. I don't recommend this place.
