What a fun and memorable trip we had shopping here! My daughter has her first real job out of college, and is finding herself with spending money for the first time. She's been a Prada fan forever, and had been contemplating buying her first investment bag for herself for a little while. So, off to the outlet mall we went! While she loves Prada, she wanted to look at other stores to make sure of her decision before she purchased anything. We started at Burberry, and made our way along the entire end of the outlet, stopping at many other high end stores like Gucci, Saks and YSL before returning to Prada. I will say that the experience for my daughter was very frustrating, as the sales associates at every store other than Prada simply ignored her and focused on me. She was so frustrated that no one took the time to even imagine that she had some major money to spend. Which is why when we got to Prada, she knew she was in the right place. From the moment we walked into the store, everyone from the security guard to the sales attendants focused on HER. They took the time to show her the purses, and talk to her about their editions and allowed her to "bargain" with them to find the best price on a bag she was absolutely in love with. They were respectful, and attentive, and made her experience a pleasant and memorable one she'll never forget. I was so grateful for that for her... and me... she ended up with a fun bag and a wallet for her boyfriend. She was so proud of herself, and the staff at Prada facilitated that sense of accomplishment. Thank you Prada! You're amazing! She'll be a Prada customer for life. Smart move! read more

Never again male version of Karyn, very rude sales person. I have been shopping at the store for years. I don't know where high end products and snotty behavior is OK. Just because you're selling a high end item does not mean that it is OK to treat a customer like $***, Even Bergdorf in New York City is kinder to its customers then a little Prada shop in Country town of San Marcos. I've walked past their store before, but haven't peaked inside until now. It's situated in the Premium Outlet side, next to Neiman Marcus. They have a lot of basic items in good colors -- not too trendy even though they call it "seasonal" items. Prada does have a more traditional look so you won't go wrong with an outlet item! There's a small case of specially priced items which were about 40% off outlet price. To give you an idea, I saw some nice wallets normally $600 for $300. So, you are looking at a potential 50% off retail savings or more. These are not Outlet items, but Prada retail items on seasonal clearance. Also, they don't hound you quite as badly as some other retailers. They allow you to look through the store in comfort and check prices inside the purses. Some do not have pricing, so you'd have to ask for help. It gets super busy at times, so there may be a wait for staff to help you. read more

Stopped in here while visiting my BFF outside of Austin. Prices are lower than retail but not much. If I'm going to pay that close to retail, I'll just buy from Neiman's during Incircle and get double points. Selection was somewhat limited as well. Staff was very helpful. The associate even took my name and email so he could let me know if they got the bag I was looking for. Overall, definitely worth a browse, but I wonder if they ever have sales!!! read more

I didn't know the San Marcos outlets had added a Prada outlet, but I also hadn't been down there in over 8 years. I was pleasantly surprised by the new shops and really took advantage of the discounts they offer in their store. When we entered I wasn't really looking for anything in particular, but after seeing all the drool worthy handbags, clothes and shoes I started to change my mind. I set my sights on a cream double pocket hobo bag that had a pretty great discount because it was last summer's collection. I also saw a pair of hot pink stain heels that looked too cute on my feet to pass up. The sales staff was super helpful and had a friendly and funny banter while we shopped. If I lived in Austin again, I'd totally come here if you're in the market for a designer bag at a less than retail price. read more

I am really surprised about the negative reviews for this boutique. I've been shopping here for years and every trip to Austin always leads to me visiting the boutique at least 2 or more times. The customer service here has always been great for me. The SAs always welcome me with a smile and they are always helpful. I shop at many high-end boutiques and department stores and though the service is usually always great, it is not always warm. Here, they are genuinely happy to see me and they always smile when they greet me. They all know me by face and I have made many purchases including wallets, coats, jackets, jeans and many pairs of shoes. On my last visit during the holiday season of 2018, I walked away with a new jacket and Prada Cup sneakers that were on sale. The next day I came back because we were in the area and discovered that they were having a sale starting that morning where you get an additional 20% off if you buy 3 or more items that have been marked down. I was interested in a gorgeous Prada label raincoat but I was disappointed that I wasn't aware of the sale the prior day when I purchased my other items. In Prada's defense, they may have not known about the upcoming sale and had I left my items there another day, someone may have purchased it singly anyways. The SA I was working with spoke with the manager who has seen and worked with me many times and he offered to extend the promotion to me for the raincoat and whatever else I wanted to purchase. Of course I was thrilled and I took the raincoat and the chinos. if you are shopping at this boutique or any Prada Outlet for that matter, be sure you are aware and comfortable with their NO RETURN / FINAL SALE policy. Try whatever you want on or carry the bag around in the store for as long as you need to. The store is very rarely crowded so you have the time and space to do both at your leisure until you make a decision. The SAs here will not rush you or be annoyed by your indecisiveness. These items can be quite expensive and a major purchase for many so be sure you are happy with it before you hand over your credit card or drug cartel cash. I've never had a problem at this shop and I will continue to visit when I am in the area. I can't wait for my next Prada deal and to see my favorite SAs there! Ciao Ciao! read more

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I walked in, I was greeted but no one come to help like all the other Prada stores I've been to. I've purchased from Prada before and this store is nothing like the ones I've been to. My dad purchased a bag from here before and it was a surprise gift for my mom. And of course, my mom was being picky and didn't like it. We drove 4 hrs to come here trying to see if we can exchange for a different style. The bag was brand new and was never taken out. But unfortunately, they didn't take it. And fine, we were fine with it after several tries, but the way the sales, manager, and even GM handle the situation was so rude. Their attitude the whole time was not welcoming AT ALL. My parents come here wanting to make a purchase of 2 or even 3 bags but it seems like they don't want our business. This is not how Prada's customer service is. No one in the store has a smile on their face, they seriously look like they hate their job. After this review, I'll be sending an email to their corporate complaining the same situation. This is unacceptable for Prada. P.S. The girl name Diana has a b*tch face on the whole time I was there. How often do you find Prada on sale? Very rarely. I found a super cute white wallet for my gf that was heavily discounted. Worst customer service ever. I was in the process of making a transaction and asking to speak with the salesman helping me. A different blonde sales woman walked out from the back stockroom and starting speaking to me in a very demeaning fashion to the point that I cancelled my purchase and walked out with my family. I agree with the other complaints about awful customer service. Prada needs to do a better job about training their sales associates on customer service. There is no need to ever treat anyone how I was treated for no good reason. Shameful!! read more

I bought a bag from the Prada outlet. silly me thinking that the bag was made in Italy. WRONG! There is a tag inside that says it was Made in India. I was so surprised I almost fell over. I called the store and they said that some of the bags they sell are actually made in India. I asked if I went to Neiman's and bought the same bag would it say Made in India and she said probably not. Sounds like a bag made especially for their outlet stores to me. i bought sunglasses at this prada outlet, the leather quality is subpar even to their chinese rip offs and most of the products are broken, torn or flimsy. after purchasing my sunglasses, i open the case and find that there's no sunglasses in there! i paid an absurd amount of money for a case with a bag? the manager dealt with this by saying "i can't do anything about it. it was a mistake, it's happened before!" seriously? this is obviously some sort of scheme they've been running. I loved this store and the prices. I have always bought my Prada bags in Vegas and was pleasantly surprised to have found this store. I was able to buy 2 bags instead of one. We made a trip to Dallas and San Antonio, while on our way to San Antonio we stopped for some shopping. The girl that help me was very nice. All went well until we got to our hotel in San Antonio that evening and I discovered the girl undercharged our credit card by $600.00. I worried the whole night and wanted to make it right because I am a current happy Prada customer, then I received a call from John regarding the same issue the next morning. We made a special trip back to San Marcos that day and my husband went in to correct the issue. I should have known things did not go well when he walked out shaking his head. Apparently not only were they rude as hell but made the impression that this error was our fault! No thank you, no apologies, nothing but rude. Instead of being nice that we came back to correct the matter, the rudeness of the man has lost a customer. Managment should have a talk to some of the employees working at their store regarding customer service and the representation of Prada. I will no longer to go to this store for any purchases due to the way my husband was treated. Another man behind the counter said that he would not have come back. But we did. I understand errors happen, I don't blame the girl that made the mistake, but when a customer makes a special trip back to correct an error that was not our fault, perhaps being rude is not a good way to deal with a situation like this. I don't mind paying full price and keeping my business away from this store. Customer service is key, over cheaper prices where you get treated like crap for doing the right thing. We have been going to this store for quite awhile and everyone in this store has been nice was looking for some purses yesterday and they were all great although not sure if those would be funny or irritating but the lady told me about this purse that they have and when the other salesperson heard she immediately responded with no yo can't sell that its reserved for me..... so not sure why they can reserve and actual customers can't very weird but the manager John was really nice the purse I bought had the key holder but it wasn't looking and he ordered a replacement so hopefully that arrives soon and my purse & I will be very happy read more

Amazing deals if you are familiar with the brand!! Noticed that many of the shoes and wallets were items that they still sell in the regular stores but are way cheaper here. Workers were friendly and worked well together. I couldn't go too crazy because it's still a little expensive for my budget, but hey.... It's PRADA. read more

AWFUL STAFF!! To put it simply. My friend and I were very interested in buying a couple pairs of shoes from this Prada Outlet, but the guy who was in the shoe department did not want to sell us any shoes. The first time we walked in there we asked about three different shoes in various sizes and the problem wasn't that they didn't have the shoe, no, the problem was that he didn't even want to sell us any shoes. This did not make any sense to me. Whenever we asked about a certain size for a specific shoe he would just say that he didn't have it without checking on his portable inventory device or even bothering to go to the back. I said forgot it, there are plenty of other stores to shop from in the area, my friend on the other hand went back about 3 times and on the last time he talked to a different worker there which, woah and behold, told him that they had multiple sizes for many of the shoes on display that we asked about earlier. Also we figured out at the end that the guy who lied to us was the store manager and through the help of google and facial memorization I believe his name to be Mark Singleton. I would recommend a whole new staff and management for this store, except for the one black guy(forgot his name) that actually helped us. read more
