Seemed annoyed with helping me out. They took forever to get back to me for help with an amended tax report (since my employer had a mistake on my initial tax forms). Not worth paying OVER $100+ and not worth the hassle of waiting/being on edge about oweing the IRS... It was our first year to do our taxes and had a great experience. Fast forward to 6 months and we contact them to see if they do LLC and/or Corporations. It took 2 days to receive a call back and when I receive the call back, I guess they screen the calls then I was transfer to Marlon himself. Finally made the appointment, I even received a courtesy text message reminder of my appointment. Arrived 12 minutes before my 3:30 appointment and the receptionist inquire how to be assistance. I informed her that we have an appointment and she asked "for what" I paused and looked and asked if it wasnt noted cuz normally businesses note the reason of the appointment. I call the office to get copy of my 2016 taxes to my email and he said I have to come in person to take the copies for security reasons, I drive to him about 30 minutes when I get there he ask me for ID and I give it to him and he ask me fee of $20 for copy that I paid when I filled my taxes with him last year what rip off very unprofessional. I end up leaving and going to the website of the RIS and register and get it for free. Waste of time and bad business read more

It's not worth it. Minimum charge is $150. If you have to come back to get extra work done or revision on something, he charges extra $20 for "his time." Even though you have an appointment, there is a long wait time of at least 30 minutes. As time passes by, it seems like he's annoyed of being in the computer all day and has little interest in helping people out. I recommend you to look elsewhere. read more

I am a tax professional from a different company. Marlon has been filing tax returns for a couple for more than 8 years. This couple moved out of the area and decided to seek out another company to prepare their 2019 return. They selected our company. In an effort to get some information that is required to complete their 2019 tax return, Marlon was asked by the client to provide this data and said he would send it via USPS. After 6 weeks of waiting and two requests, the info was never received. On March 20th the clients and I called Prado together to speak with Marlon to AGAIN request the data needed. We were told he would call me the next day. Prado attempted to send what was requested by email to the client but what was sent was still insufficient to the request we made. On March 21st, I personally spoke to Marlon (I called him because he didn't call me as promised) to get the info needed and after I explained why I was calling he rudely asked me "do you want fries with that"!! Taken aback, I was surprised that a fellow professional would be so unprofessional!! He started to yell and tell me he didn't have time for this and that he didn't know me and wasn't sending anything to me. Keep in mind that the clients called Prado and informed them to provide the data to me. At that point our conversation went south. Prado sent another document to the client this morning and still it is not what was requested. In this profession clients come and go every year. Marlon was so unprofessional and I felt he was taking their departure from Prado personally and I told him so. As I read these reviews for the Prado business I see good reviews and some bad reviews. It's my suggestion that this company take the bad reviews to heart before they lose additional clients!! Our taxes are done correctly year after year and Marlon is always asking questions which to me shows that he cares about his clients and is always current with new tax laws. I was referral to Marlon a few years back. I was stress after going to a professional tax attorney that charge me $700 to do my taxes and told me I owe the IRS $18,000. It was my 2nd year as self employed and didn't know what to do. I didn't have $18,000 to pay the IRS. Marlon reviewed my tax return, file an amendment to my return. I pay the IRS $4,000. A family member recommended me to file my taxes at Prado Tax Services in 2012. About 7 of our family members went there on different dates for the first time (so yes we took him business). A few months ago I needed a copy of my taxes from 2012. When I got there, I discovered that they entered the incorrect address and their service was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I asked for the copy, Prado himself was trying to charge me $20 dollars (when I can easily go to the local IRS department and get it for free). I kindly asked him if I could get a free copy, since we had referred over 7 family members, and he declined with an arrogant tone. I even told him that he would lose my entire family's business and he proclaimed that he didn't care. He also employs another individual that seems not to be familiar with filling taxes at all. When I took my girlfriend that same year, we scheduled an appointment to see Prado, but he said he was busy, so that other guy "helped" us, not kidding; he probably called Prado over 7 times because he didn't know what he was doing. I honestly don't recommend Prados Tax Services, not because he was charging me $20 dollars for a copy but because he doesn't appreciate the business you bring him and at times he can become very arrogant. read more
