Loved the location, very convenient and close to all of our outings. Breakfast was amazing both days. The massages were so relaxing and the massage therapists were so nice and friendly. I actually didn't mind the privacy and not really seeing the hosts. When she did drop off the breakfast she was so sweet and kind. Room was clean and had everything we could need during our stay. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. They even took our dietary needs into consideration which I really appreciate as a vegetarian. The room was luxurious and the place was full of charm from the freshly baked cookies to the hot chocolate bar. Having delicious breakfast delivered to our room every morning felt like such a treat. The couples massage was truly amazing. We live local and asked for their contact information to set up another appointment. I highly recommend! We enjoyed the heated pool outside during the day and the jacuzzi tub in the room in the evening. This was a wonderful way to spend our mini moon after our wedding! We just stayed for our second stay. This is an amazing place! So relaxing and luxurious! You feel very pampered! Due to covid they are delivering breakfast to the rooms and The food is delicious! So far we have stayed in the Santa Barbara beach house, and recently spent two nights in the Tuscan Villa and one night in the English cottage. We absolutely love the Santa Barbara Beach House previously. Very modern very luxurious. The Tuscan Villa room is very nice and has an amazing shower. But as far as decor I feel like it may appeal to a little bit of an older clientele. The English cottage is adorable! A very clean room with a private entry into the main house so you don't have to even walk outside. Which makes it nice in the evening if you want a cup of hot tea or cocoa or one of their delicious baked goods that's available in the kitchen. My only complaint with this room would be that the bathroom is a standard bathroom and does not have the luxurious jets as the other rooms. I feel it may be needing an upgrade. Our only other issue and this is just my husband and i's preference, we really love coffee. And found the in-room coffee lacking (It was just a coffee maker with Folger packs). each morning we woke up and drove to wild roast coffee down the road to get coffee. But we would have preferred to relax in our room and make coffee. My suggestion would be that they upgrade to an Nespresso or Keurig machine or that they make coffee in the main house and have cups available so you can go get coffee in the morning. Other than that we can't wait to go back for our third visit.! The next room we want to try is the Bali suite :) You won't regret your visit here! And a tip if you do go make sure you eat at the Grand rapids market! Fish lads was amazing and we always get love the ice cream at Loves!!! read more

They thought of EVERYTHING! We stayed in the Santa Barbara Beach House Suite. It's kind of separate, in the back and up two flights of outdoor stairs. So, pack light! You won't need extra stuff anyway. Cleanliness: I was impressed! Everything was spotless. There was even a paper seal around the toilet. All surfaces were dust free and gleaming. The ENORMOUS jetted tub in the middle of the room was spotless as well. These things are extra meaningful to me during this COVID era. The linens and towels were fresh and of higher quality material than expected. Food and Dishes: There are two place settings with wine glasses and late' mugs for use plus the dishes you get with breakfast (added for additional charge). A mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and wine cooler round out the appliances for use. You get two bottles of water with the room. But, if you want more, bring some and keep it in your fridge! There are an array of small snacks tucked into a little caddy atop the small cafe table and two chairs next to the kitchenette area to enjoy. There are sooooo many restaurants around that if you didn't want to leave till checkout, GrubHub and Doordash are solid options if your restaurant choice doesn't offer delivery. Tech: WiFi was strong but public, so if you want privacy, use a VPN. Almost everything; ceiling fan, fireplace and giant flat screen had a remote and was very well labeled. The giant smart TV is a flatscreen on a swivel arm for in-bed viewing. There are three remotes for this thing but the instructions are clear, concise and easy to follow. **Don't forget to log out of your apps if you watch movies in your mobile accounts like Netflix**. The tile portion of the floors, towel racks and toilet seat are heated...STELLAR! We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return very soon! This is our new favorite spot. Though I do note have one negative thing to say, I have two suggested additions: chopsticks and an ice maker read more

Uhm. Can I move in here? Seriously, I've only been here for a few short hours but I'm already 100% sold. I'm maxing and relaxing in this comfy king sized bed in the fluffy robe, eating complimentary chocolate and writing this review. Pretty excellent! I'm staying in the French Riviera room and it's very fancy. Big king sized canopy bed, in room fireplace, a small table and chairs and sofa for lounging in, a big bookshelf and desk for storing items + doing work, a nice flat screen tv with cable and a dvd player/vcr (plus a library of films to choose from in the common areas), a two person jacuzzi tub right in the room (!!!), small kitchen station (with a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, coffee and tea, plenty of mugs and dishware, etc), and a pimped out bathroom. The bathroom! Heated floors, fogless mirrors, a massaging shower, and even a heated toilet seat! There's also a massage room if you want to tack on some extra relaxation to your stay. It's the little touches throughout that are also excellent--my fridge is stocked with my favorite soda (which they found out via a questionnaire emailed to me after I made my reservation), in the common areas and kitchen are lots of homey little touches and snacks (baked goods in the kitchen and complimentary hot cocoa mix to make a beverage with), the option to take your breakfast in room (with an additional fee), etc etc. I am seriously IN LOVE. Also the price is right! I'm here for a work trip just for one night and they have a special weekday, single night stay corporate rate which is a reduced rate. But I'd gladly pay the full price in the future for a personal stay. This place is that great. Everything here is top notch and put in place to make you comfortable. I'm legitimately sad I'm only slated for one night here. I could happily spend much more time here than that. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a spin in the jacuzzi tub with my name on it. read more

We had a lovely overnight visit for our 10th wedding anniversary. It felt so special, while only being down the road from us. They really have tried to think of everything and are so accommodating. I am gluten-free and dairy-free and they prepared a special breakfast for me. We had a nice visit with Jenn the inkeeper. She even gave us a tour of the other rooms since they were not occupied. We stayed in the French Riviera room which was so private and cozy. But all of the rooms are equally beautiful. read more

It was our first time staying here and everything was perfect! As soon as we got here we were greeted by the house keeper who let us know all the info we needed for staying there! We got the couples Swedish massage and it was amazing and very relaxing! We ended up staying in the room for the most part and enjoying the hot tub in the room for the night! The Tuscan Room was very nice. I wish I could give them a 3 1/2. I imagine if we truly wanted to get away and never see anyone, this would be fabulous. As a couple that frequent B&B's, I was disappointed that there was no contact of any kind; just the woman who brought your breakfast. Breakfast was very good both days. When we arrived, there was no one to greet us. My husband had to take a selfie and text it before we could get a code to unlock our room. Once inside, there are notes everywhere to tell you how to work things. That was ok except maybe for the Shampoo and Body Bar. Personally, I think not. Breakfast is normally served 10-10:30 so don't make any plans before noon. You will also have to put your dishes out the door by 11:00. We enjoy meeting the hosts of a b&b and they didn't exist here. It was nice but we would not come back. Unless of course we wanted to go to a bed-and-breakfast and never leave the room. read more

The room was nice, cozy and private however the shower pressure was horrible and the curtains weren't block out curtains so you could see the street lights through them. When our honeymoon in Cabo was canceled last minute due to a hurricane, my wife and I decided we would just spend a few days at a bed and breakfast before scheduling a longer trip to Mexico later. We are so happy that we found Prarieside. The Beach House room was perfect and immaculate. The giant jacuzzi, wide open shower, comfy bed, and soft robes made it hard to leave the room. The food at the breakfast is amazing and a perfect start to the day. We spent a full day in Holland, which is one of the most picturesque cities in the US. Awesome breweries, great restaurants, and tons of cute shops downtown. Everything about Prarieside is clean and beautiful. Highly recommend a stay here for a peaceful getaway. read more

My fiancé and I visited this weekend for a much needed weekend getaway. From the moment we entered the driveway, we were in love with this place. The grounds are so beautifully landscaped. Cheri was so nice and welcoming. The common areas are well maintained and the food is AMAZING! There were sweet treats available anytime we needed them. The toffee cookie was delicious. We stayed in the Santa Barbara Beach House! It was amazing. The room looked exactly how it shows on the website. No photoshop!! Our whirlpool was amazing. We stayed here over the weekend for a wedding in Grand Rapids. We stayed in the French Riviera room. While some of the pictures show this room having a canopy bed, the bed that was in it when we were was not a canopy bed, though still very comfy. The pillows are a bit soft so if you prefer firm pillows keep that in mind. The towel rack and heated toilet seat and tile floors were awesome! Breakfast was delicious and we were pleasantly surprised to find that it was accommodating for vegetarians as well! We had a couples massage before the wedding and it was super convenient to just walk across the hall! Overall it was a fabulous time! read more

We came here to celebrate our 25th anniversary. And let me say, our stay was a little piece of heaven. The room was cozy, comfortable and lovely. Cheri & Paul thought of everything. Whatever we needed, all we had to do was open a drawer or cabinet. We loved the heated toilet & heated towel rack. And there were many thoughtful amenities like that through out the room & house. Jen spoiled us with a fantastic breakfast each day. Every meal was delicious. The grounds are beautiful and the environment was so relaxing. We stayed for 4 days & will definitely be returning. The room was very nice and having a massage room on site is a huge plus. The massage therapists were amazing and very pleasant to work with. The rooms are big and comfortable and felt clean. However, I paid for early check in and was told two hours before we were supposed to arrive that it was not available. Understandable considering they were deep cleaning the room due to Covid. Also, the breakfast provided at this "bed and breakfast" was two bottles of juice, an orange, two yogurts, packaged muffins, a cheese stick, and some granola. The breakfast offered at Comfort Inn is at least hot! For $250 per night, you would think they could deliver hot breakfast to the rooms. They also do not allow their guests to take ice with them. Their welcome packet says ice is available in the kitchen. Apparently it is not available. When I went to the kitchen to fill a small bag with ice for my cooler I was told it was for "guests only". I was told they would run out of ice for guests if I took any. She assumed I would take "30lbs of ice" and never asked how much I needed. I was offered a dollar to get my own ice from McDonald's. The offer was nothing if not condescending. I understand things are tight right now with covid going on but I certainly did not get what I paid for here. We won't be back read more

This place is fantastic for a weekend getaway... Breakfast brought to your room (extra charge) was worth it. You don't even need to leave the property to get a couples massage. The location is great because it is within about 10-15 minutes from downtown, but it is located in quiet little neighborhood in Granville. Excellent service and attention to detail, and they do a wonderful job paying attention to food allergies/restrictions. Rooms are impeccably clean and spacious... Staying here has been awesome. The Southern Mansion suite was just as beautiful as in the photos. You can tell that the owner Cheri and her husband were made to own a place like this. They are very warm, friendly, and hospitable. The baked goods in the kitchen were amazing, and the hot cocoa was to die for. Breakfasts were nice as well, and I don't consider myself a breakfast person. All in all, I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. We had a lovely stay in the French Riviera Suite. The pictures were perfectly representative of the room and we were not disappointed in the least. The common spaces in the living room and outdoors were just as delightful as the room itself- with a hammock, porch swing, small pool area, and blossoming flowers. Cheri, her husband, and the kind lady who prepared our breakfast were at all times warm, welcoming, and accommodating. The Suites are located in a wonderful area which even had a blueberry festival that we were lucky enough to chance upon the weekend we were there. During our stay we visited the Meijer sculpture gardens, Millenium Park, and Downtown Grand Rapids which each afforded us hours of fun. It made it quite difficult to juggle venturing out versus lounging in our incredible room- not the most terrible dilemma to be tasked with. read more

We stayed in the Santa Barbara beach house, the first week of June which was perfect to see the flowers in bloom. The rooms are all incredibly beautiful and extremely clean!! The whirlpool bath tub, heated toilet seats and heated towel rack, were amazing!! Cheri and Paul are there to make sure you have such a great time and cater to your every need. They are 100% focused on YOU creating YOUR memories and are there to help make sure it's th best experience possible. We were originally booked for two nights but after only a few hours here, we decided a 3rd night was a MUST!! I've had many massages over the years at all types of high end spas, but the massage I had at Prarieside , was; hands down, one of the best and most relaxing massages I've ever had! I could go on and on about how FABULOUS this place is but my words and pictures can't even fully describe it. I've read the other reviews about it being pricey, but this is money well spent!!!
