I was referred to Dr. Bondade by MedEx Urgent Care over in Seal Beach, as I needed a new primary care physician. I did experience some difficulty in obtaining the initial appointment. With a couple of more attempts, however, I was able to get through. I was greeted professionally at the front desk by a courteous and cordial woman [I forgot to ask her name, but, for identification purposes, my visit was yesterday morning (6/18)]. As I had electronically completed the paperwork the day before, she was able to quickly process me to Dr. Bondade. The wait to see him for my appointment was, therefore, minimal. Nurse Blanka first took my vitals. She has an absolutely positive, cordial, and beautiful aura about her! Her smile and thoughtfulness gave me assurance that all will be okay. She really does smile with her eyes. Dr. Bondade is one cool dude, seriously. He listened to my concerns and issues attentively, and answered my questions in a calm, soothing voice. He was confident in his approach, but without being ostentatious. He explained the steps that need to be taken in a way that I can fully understand. Even with this one visit, I cannot imagine having another primary care physician. As I was waiting for my after-visit paperwork (the wait was brief), I asked the same woman at the front desk where I can get some water. She enthusiastically offered to bring it to me (which she did with a glowingly genuine smile). The only issue I have is that the building (11180 Warner Ave.) needs more handicapped parking spaces - after all, it is a medical building where disabled people abound. I was, nevertheless, able to park relatively close by, but I do need the added handicap space to get in-and-out of my car because of my disability. horrible doctor!! He cares more about the insurance company then the patient. I was referred to him for my shortness of breath after contracting COVID twice while working in the ER as a nurse. He ordered a series of tests and told me that he would see me in a month. Due to covid offices where not seeing patient's at all. Months had gone by and I still did not have my test. Since this was a workman's comp case I had to see this doctor monthly. I was still severely short of breath when I came back to see Dr.Bondade. Much to my surprise when I went to sign in I was told by his staff that I was cleared to go back to work. I said to his manager that how can I be cleared when none of the test he order for me haven't been performed! At that moment Dr.Bondade himself came out and told me "Why don't you want to go back to work? you're a young man"... Needless to say I stormed out of his office! read more

When you're seeing a respiratory doctor you rely on this guy and his experience and usually respiratory illnesses or issues can be life and death and you deserve the best treatment. Whatever you do your life is in your own hands do not see this doctor you can message me and I explain to you why there are plenty of other doctors you can see who cares about your health . Please see photo I described every one of these symptoms in detail to the doctor and he sent me home saying he's going to prescribe a breathing device for me to blow into the strength of my lungs do not trust this guy with your life The following day I got a second opinion and the proper diagnosis blood clots in both my lungs. Do not go to this Dr. Bondade he is old and senile and will not give you the best medical care you need and deserve. He's like 90 years old and can barley see out of his glasses. In reading some of the reviews of Dr. Bondade, I have to say how incorrect some of these reviews are. Dr. Bondade is a PULMONOLIGIST, which means he is a specialist for the lungs. He is not responsible for ordering colonoscopies, bone density tests, mammograms, etc. You visit your primary care doctor/gastroenterologist for that. That being said, I was diagnosed with OSA in 2019. Not only was I able to see Dr. Bondade quickly, he was able to start treating me immediately and has been a very good and caring doctor. I've never had a bad experience with his office staff, everyone has been professional and nice. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Bondade to anyone needing to see a pulmonologist. His staff is horrible, rude uncaring and completely disorganized. But I have been to other doctor offices and it was maybe slightly, but not greatly, better. Dr Bondande is a decent doctor if you are sick. But don't even think there is ever a talk about preventive care. I am in my 60is, my husband just turned 69. There has not ever been any mention of a bone density check, colonoscopy, mammogram. I have never been to a doctor where staff did not do follow up reminders, here, no such thing. If you are able to thrive on neglect or don't care, go ahead, other then that maybe find a better organized place to take care of your health and well being. We will. read more

Dr. Bondade AND his staff are really great. I've never had any poor customer service with any of his nurses or any member on his team. I have never had a problem reaching him or his office. They always answer and are prompt. I had an ear infection and his nurse called in the prescription within minutes. Great customer service. He is a great doctor and really cares about your well being. America and Blanca are his staff and both are horrible and yes, negligent. They do not have any sense of care, empathy or ethics in their healthcare service and Bondade suffers but his patients are the real losers. I have tried to speak with the doctor but told he isn't available or not in yet upon calling or visiting last week. I'll probably never hear back about my blood work or ultrasound (that will turnout to be totally unnecessary). Next call is to my insurance provider. Each contact with them, either on the phone, when they answer, or face to face, you are made fully aware that whatever it is, you are bothering them. But Bondade needs to recognize they need help and doesn't. Highly recommend changing providers to a doctor and staff that genuinely care for your well being. read more

I am usually not impressed with the referrals that my HMO provides me with. However, as a person with a medical background, I look at physicians slightly differently than just bedside manner. That being sad, he comes in with a warm greeting as if he saw me last week and it has been over a year. He obviously reviewed my chart before he walked in so that he could get right to it. I really dislike when a physician comes in to the room and then opens the chart to see why you are here and what is your past history. He checked me out, told me what needed to be done and I happen to have an interesting therapy for COPD and he took the time to listen to what I was saying and it seemed to peak his interest. On my way out, he reminded me to make sure to drop off the information that we discussed. Very impressive and I have no problem recommending him to any of my family which means that I have no problem recommending him to you. read more

I really like Dr. Bondade. His staff is negligent and forgetful. Having called in at 9am and left message with staff I'd been running a 100+ temp all weekend throwing up, sick, can't eat, low energy, weak, they assured me the doctor would respond. Nothing so I called back at noon. They told me they'd not received message , or knew anything about it. So I gave them info again and was assured they'd get right back to me. Nothing, so I called back at 1:30 and again they knew nothing about me or situation. The gal d spoken to was at lunch and FAILED to relay critical info. So again I gave 3rd person the info explained I was now upset and sick, please remedy. Again I was assured I'd be taken care of and they'll reach out to doctor... ..nothing... I was at CVS waiting.... I called them back around 2:30 to tell them I'd given up, I was very upset, and I'm now at urgent care, and I consider their actions or lack of action gross negligence. She then informed me that prescription had been sent to CVS. Why wasn't I called??? IM NOW AT URGENT CARE. Nothing no. Apologies, no remorse. I called them back asking to speak directly with the doctor, as I feel he may not be aware of gross negligent stall, the staff said he doesn't want to talk to me, and they'd already told him...(their version) they said if I dont like it to go somewhere else. I told them I expect them to pay my urgent care bill, they laughed and said he's not paying anything. I told them to look for negative yelp review, and expect a lawsuit. Meanwhile ive changed primary care doctor, and filed complaint with HealthNet. Dr. Bondade may be innocent and his staff negligent, but they represent him. The WORST customer service ever!! Someone in his office called and cancelled my first appointment with the doctor, since then I have never been able to reach anyone in his office. In the last three attempts, I have consistently reached his service, no matter what time it is the service answers.........."they must be busy"??? Seriously!? Have now informed my primary care giver that referring any of his patients to this doctor is a major waste of everyone's time but Dr. Bondade's. read more
