My review is based on the Doctor because any slightly detail that doesn't have to with the procedure it's self or recovery doesn't really matter. My experience with Dr Ahuja was great he was Thorough and wanted to run tests to deem my sons sugary a necessity, I appreciated it I did a hearing test , X-ray got every note my son had on file and provided it to him I did a sleep study nothing should be inconvenient for your child. I will admit the front receptionist and I had a rocky start I actually never saw the girl again but my first visit for the day was terrible Dr ahuja and his office manager fixed it all and from there it was great. I will also admit they never call back when they say they will again he probably isn't even aware of it I'm not here to burden him with that I did like his nurse Rosa she did always return my calls. I think it's important to follow up they have many patients and our job as parents is to just be persistent My sons surgery went great I will admit I was nervous and wanted to cry and had a stomachache but I got great advice it's not about me of course we should be nervous its our babies my son was 2 its about him and how good he is going feel not being sick or his ears hurting or his throat hurting and I just stayed calm After my sons surgery Dr ahuja came by gave me instructions and said see you guys in 6 weeks he was as amazing as I would have asked for and spent just enough time as needed since my child is not his only patient Choc staff treated my son amazing we had Diane as our nurse all of day one and she was great to Rome even then gentleman who cleaned our room was great highly recommended this surgeon and his team read more

I don't know who some of these reviewers saw- but Dr. Ahuja is probably the best doctor I've ever come into contact with-and for my family, that says a lot. My pediatrician discovered a huge growth in my sons nasal passage and got us in to see Dr Ahuja for an emergency endoscopy the next day. Dr. Ahuja is thorough, kind, attentive and great with my son. We had the growth removed without any issues, and he was very explanatory. We felt extremely confident in his capabilities. This is a very busy man, and busy practice! So, I was on top of everything, including calling the office almost daily. Rosa was always kind and understanding, and I feel as though they were very timely with everything especially considering the demand. Sometimes you may have to wait longer than you want to hear from him, but if you want the best for your child, Dr. Ahuja is worth it! This guy knows his stuff! read more

Very HIGHLY recommended! My 19 year old son has been a patient of Dr. Ahuja's since he was born for 5 sets of ear tubes and other issues related to his cleft palate. He is a caring, kind, and highly skilled pediatric ENT. I absolutely hate leaving bad reviews. I had such good experiences with Dr. Ahuja till I didn't. My son has had ear tubes for little more than a year, however he has had to have each tube replaced a different times, for different reasons, none being the Drs fault. However my main issue is my son has major speech delays and currently has speech therapy, OT, PT and feeding therapy. The tubes have never really worked as they should and have always wondered if there were other issues. A few weeks ago he failed yet another hearing test with his left tube was blocked and there was fluid in his ear. Made an appointment with Dr Ahuja only to have him having to cancel due to a surgery and being forced to see his PA as no one other doctor was available for a few MONTHS!! Saw the PA she was perfectly nice. Agreed that the tube was blocked and there was fluid and would talk to DR Ahuja on how to proceed. I said I was concerned, and wanted to get the tube fixed asap because this was affecting his speech therapy, she said well there are plenty of kids who are deaf in one ear and they still learn to speak!!! I was less than pleased with her remarks. This was a Friday. By Wednesday I still hadn't hear back from the office so I followed up, the front desk said they would look into it and call me back, which they did by the end of the day. Was told that Dr Ahuja and the PA were not overly concerned and that Dr Ahuja was going to be out of town for the month of February and they would see me in April?!? Which was the next available appointment. I was in shock that this was there response. I wasn't going to wait that long so my pediatrician referred me to another ENT. Their first question was has he had an X-ray to check his adenoids as he was wondering why the tubes kept failing to reduce fluid. Never had Dr Ahuja seemed concerned about my sons adenoids nor did he ever want my son to get an x ray.. did an x ray, my sons adenoids were 3x the size of normal adenoids and they were blocking 88% of his airway. That this wasn't a new issue. This is why my son is a mouth breather. This was brought up by my husband right in the beginning of meeting dr Ahuja and my husband concerns were dismissed as not being an issue. My biggest issue was being told that Dr Ahuja couldn't see me for such a long period when there was obviously an issue, and the PA telling me that plenty of kids that are deaf I one ear learn to speak. Which I understand, however my son isn't deaf, it's treatable and to have to wait two months to have his condition treated is not acceptable. If Dr Ahuja was too busy or out of town the least they could have done is have another dr in the practice see my child or refer me to another dr so my son could be treated earlier. No child should have to wait two months with a blocked tube. Dr Ahuja was very kind to us, and again I would say I had a wonderful experience with him until this past month. Missing the adenoids problem is a huge issue. My son will also be getting a different type of tubes which my current ENT was shocked Dr Ahuja didn't try after the 2nd set of tubes failed. I never had a problem with the front staff or Rosa. Technically Dr Ahuja never did anything wrong either. He just wasn't as thorough as he should have been, and he should have another DOCTOR see his patients when he will be gone for an entire month because his PA is not capable. read more

A seed was stuck in my 2 year old son's ear and it was large and deep into his ears that his pediatrician could not get it out. We were referred to Dr. Ahuja's 1010 W La Veta Ave, Suite 640, Orange Office. The staff were nice. Dr. Ahuja was very detailed and explained all the procedures thoroughly. He and his staff were so friendly to my son that he was calm and happily chatting with them throughout the removal process. I would highly recommend visit Dr. Ahuja at his Orange Office. read more

Love Dr. Ahuja. Sometimes his bed side manner can put somebody off a bit, but then you realize how amazing he is! My son was a patient of his for years. He is excellent! Recently our insurance sent us to somebody else (I don't know why) and I regret every second of seeing the new dr and just called the pediatrician to see if insurance can get us back to Ahuja. Downside is he is hard to get into sometimes as their office is very busy, but if somebody was going to be doing an ear or sinus procedure on my son I would trust Dr. Ahuja! read more

Dr. Ahuja performed my daughters surgery 2 weeks ago i as told by all the nurses he was a nice Doctor bun unfortunately i had the same terrible dismissal experience that another yelper had. I was so worried waiting for my daughter to come from surgery that i stood near the surgical doors. As soon as Dr Ahuja came out he told me it all went well blah blah blah... i thanked him and said, "oh good, so she is ok?"(very worried still crying). He looked at me like i was an idiot and said, "I just said that she was didn't i? Why are you asking me that?" he made me feel terrible!! What do u THINK a MOTHER is going to ask you JERK!!!! I should've known not to use him as during our initial consultation he stopped me from asking questions and even once said, "this isn't about you" ( so my medical history is not part of your assent of my BLOOD daughter) Um...ok. He is arrogant and rude. Find another ENT if you can. read more

We had an appointment scheduled for our newborn on 21-July and waiting to meet the doctor. they cancelled our appointment on 18-july and rescheduled it to august-26 ( after 40 days). This review is 95% for his office coordinator Rosa. I have been to appointments all week, every single day, @ Choc 4 my sons surgery that was suppose to be Monday. I have spoke with staff from Choc 8 times, yes 8 times, TODAY alone! We have confirmed surgery as my son has extensive medical issues with his airway, hence the reason Dr Ahuja being involved. Now 15 mins ago (4:45pm on a Friday) Rosa calls and is yet again confirming surgery and tells me Dr Ahuja is requesting my son stay the night after surgery (it's a dental procedure) first of all, why is this the first I'm hearing of this? Second of all I have 3 other children, and a very busy business that I would need to coordinate for and need more time than last minute like this, especially when again I've talked 2 someone TODAY on 8 different occasions. Rosa is rude, speaks broken English and is very argumentative! NEWSFLASH you need to be better organized Rosa, especially working at a children's hospital where emotions are already running high!!!!!!!! I am beyond blown away on how they dropped the ball. And 2 add icing 2 the cake, we've only been waiting 4 this appointment for a year! read more

Great doctor, horrible staff. I've called a few times to make an appointment and instead was told a nurse would call me back. I never get a call back within a few hours of my call to them - even if the situation is serious (severe ear pain, bleeding from the ear etc.). When I've tried to express this to the staff or the nurse I am always told "sorry for the mid communication" as if it's my fault? The nurse practitioner is rude and cocky as hell. Dr Pham is amazing - takes his time with my children and is always very pleasant. Just wish the office staff could get their stuff together. read more

To begin....be prepared to wait wait wait. We waited for a good 2 hours after our appointment time before seeing the dr. It's frustrating when you are taking time off work, and waiting that long with a toddler. On a good note though, the dr was pretty thorough, gave my daughter a full examination, and asked us a million questions. He tried joking with her a bit but she wasn't having it. We got all our questions answered and overall it was a worthwhile appointment, just disappointed in the amount of time it took to have a 15 min long appointment. read more

I have a daughter with special needs and she has many doctors, Dr. Ahuja being one of them. We actually haven't needed to see him for several years but still want to leave a review. He is a very caring man and very skilled. Always patient with us and gentle when cleaning her ears or examining her. He performed a tonsillectomy on her back in 2007 and all went well. We actually scheduled her dentist to also do dental work on her while she was under general for the surgery. He was very open to working with her dentist and scheduling things so she could get all procedures done. I refer to him anytime someone needs a peds ENT. I subtracted a star because the wait could get close to 2 hours some days, which is hard with a small child. read more

Dr. Gurpreet Ahuja was highly recommended to us by a few friends. The beginning of the visit was informative and thorough. Once I explained my daughters condition and health history, Dr. Ahuja tone changed. He became very condescending and disrespectful due to his own personal beliefs. His staff was disorganized and not prepared after numerous interactions. I had a surgery scheduled for my daughter but she became ill and wasn't fully recovering (sinus infection). We had a pre-op appointment and he was so frustrated, again extremely disrespectful and condescending. I allowed him to express his frustrations and explain his beliefs yet again to me. I didn't need to prove a point or argue with him. He grew up in area with disease and he has no tolerance for any other way of care. He was unprofessional, rude and I cannot believe he is still practicing. Looking back there are so many red flags and I would be cautious when seeking his assistance. read more
