I know first-hand what constitutes quality service.​ My Experience with Dr. Hung-Chuan Cheng's Office from Jan 16 - Feb 2, 2026​ Unfortunately, the reception staff at this office made it extremely difficult to schedule an appointment. On January 16th, I emailed a photocopy of my insurance ID card and proof of eligibility. After a week of waiting, I finally secured an appointment for February 4th. Yet, on January 27th, Evelyn canceled my confirmed appointment, stating that my insurance would not be effective until February 1, 2026, and that I needed to wait until then to make an appointment. This seemed like an unnecessary barrier and left me feeling dismissed, especially as an elderly patient. I am concerned that Dr. Cheng may not be aware of how such staff behavior could negatively impact his practice. ​ On February 2nd, I called to make an appointment. Evelyn answered, spoke briefly to me, and immediately hung up. I called back several times but was repeatedly disconnected. After about 30 minutes, another woman finally answered, with a sharp, angry tone. Name! Date of birth! No! Your name didn't come up! The tone of voice of the mad housewife, unhappy to speak to the caller. On January 22, 2026, Evelyn received my email with a copy of the insurance card. She scheduled an appointment for February 4, 2026. However, this woman lied to me; my name did not come up. Then they deliberately refused to answer any incoming calls for 30 minutes. I contacted my insurance company, which confirmed that Dr. Hung-Chuan Cheng is my PCP. They attempted to call Dr. Cheng's office several times for the next 30 minutes, but no one answered. Such unprofessional and dismissive behavior from staff, misusing their authority, can quickly undermine the reputation and hard work of a dedicated physician like Dr. Cheng. Dr. Cheng is a good physician, but he failed in managing the employees. Suggest that Dr. Chang install a surveillance system and enable voice recording on all calls for training purposes. The attitude of these two women suggests they have never achieved anything in life, including in their relationships with friends and family. This is self-destructive behavior. Now is the time for Dr. Cheng to recognize and replace the staff who can help build the business together.

While she may have been following policy, her lack of empathy toward a new patient was concerning. She asked for my date of birth in a harsh tone and told me my name did not appear in their records. I contacted my insurance company, which confirmed that Dr. Hung-Chuan Cheng is my PCP. They attempted to call Dr. Cheng's office four or five times, but received no answer. I think it's time to switch Provider. I've been going to Dr Bunten for at least the last 7 years…read morebut this was the first time I tried to see him since they became Memorial Care. When I tried to make an appointment it would have been 3 weeks before he had time available. I told them all I needed was to renew my prescriptions. So they told me Alison the PA could help me with that. At least she was able to see me within 5 days. And it didn't start well with her but it ended well. First of all, the chart that she reviewed before seeing me wasn't mine but she corrected it. Second, with the new Memorial Care system, some of my information was missing so I had to let her know how much MG some of my medication was...annoying. What I like about Alison was she was very thorough. She had requested all my lab test and one blood test that was the latest in testing for cancer. Today, I got my results back from Quest (which took 2 weeks), let's see if they follow up on my results. I guess no news is good news. If no one follows up I will definitely switch providers. In the meantime, I'll go on Quest website and see if I can figure it out.

I was there over an hour and saw a doctor for less than two minutes - not my own. My own doctor had one appointment all morning, which was a physical, but was too busy to see me with a 102 degree fever until 3 days later. Beware.

She gets mad because people ask her questions. That is your job! Don't even get me started with the doctor. My mom has been complaining about neck pain, back pain, and blurry vision. All he prescribed her was vitamins. 10 pills of vitamin C and 10 pills of Vitamins D per DAY! My mom can't sleep at night and her body gets stiff when she tries to move it. DO NOT TAKE YOUR FAMILY WITH THIS "DOCTOR "!

Dr Schachter is attentive, knowledgeable, he has great patient bedside manners. I went back for follow up on the shingles the pain was gone but the itch continues I'm going to see a dermatologist to get some steroid injection to shrink the bumps. I quickly got referrals for my sleep apnea, Pain management, and bloodwork. The sleep apnea doctor was months out for the appointment and so was the Pain Management so I would've not been able to fill my prescription for a few months. The good news is the doctor said he would call in my pain medicine for a month or two in the meantime which I thought was nice. Costco Pharmacy called him back to clarify a few things regarding the pain medicine and he just became frustrated and then when I finally got a hold of him six days later after calling the pharmacy then calling the doctors office then going to the pharmacy and getting no answers he said he wasn't gonna do it anymore and he's not gonna call it in again for me and just hung up on me. So I would go from taking this pain medicine for the last many years to completely stopping cold turkey cause he refused to call it in and I would have to go for two or three months without it until I got my new Pain Management appointment. I'm delighted to say I changed primary care physicians immediately and this is the first time ever I've ever done this in my entire life and I'm 62 years old so that tells you something. His A1C has come back at 9 and above for 2 years and they never address the problem. Never have taken his blood pressure, never listened to his heart. Getting prescriptions refilled is a chore and the one time I visited, to demand they refill his prescriptions, the place was a ghosttown. Just 2 young people sitting behind a desk in an empty office. Based on my past experience and the many similar reviews, it's clear this office is consistently overbooked and poorly managed. This isn't just inconvenient--it's dangerous. Every cancellation forces me back through insurance approvals and delays care I urgently need. If you value your health and your peace of mind, find another provider.
