Prasino has been my number one consistent stop when visiting the St Louis metro area. I will always make time to visit here. The food is just the best. Their menu changes over time but whether it is a delicious flatbread or a scrumptious cheeseburger I've always enjoyed my food here. My only regret is one time they had this fish special on black rice and it lives rent free in my head never to be seen again. The cocktails are killer. And to date, the only Missouri restaurant I've been to that has amazing cocktails but on the other hand, I haven't been to a ton of Missouri restaurants. Still, they are fun, crafty, and too delicious! Lastly the service has always been amazing. They are warm, welcoming, and attentive. Inside, however, the restaurant is alive with energy--a pleasant buzz of conversation and activity that somehow feels both vibrant and comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After a full day of travel, made even more memorable by my local ride getting two flat tires on the way to pick me up, I arrived tired, frustrated, and ready for the day to be over. Within minutes, that feeling had disappeared. The martini was perfectly prepared, and the beet and burrata salad was fresh, balanced, and exactly the light meal I was hoping to find. The waiter was very good at his job, clearly passionate about the food (when he told us the specials I was practically drooling- so eloquent). He made sure we were well taken care of the whole time. First time here with a group of coworkers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is huge, with tabletop seating, booth seating, and even an outdoor patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered sushi rolls and cocktails and was surprised how good the sushi was, since it's not technically a sushi restaurant, but it was fresh and flavorful. Funny enough they have a "girl dinner" dish on the menu and it turned out to be a popular order at our table. My coworker really enjoyed the seafood pasta, the tacos were also good, and the classic burger is a solid order too. Our waitress was attentive and checked on us often. Had such a great experience at Prasinos! We had top notch service from Christian this morning! We typically visit Prasinos at least twice a month for Sunday brunch. The last two times we have one problem that keeps occuring. Food is coming out of the kitchen luke warm at best. We haven't complained yet, but this should not be the norm. If it is we'll have to Sunday brunch elsewhere. That'd be a shame because I love their Eggs Benedict better than anywhere else. Please get plates to table when the food is still piping hot. Thank you! read more

I always enjoy going to Prasino for brunch! The staff is always very friendly and service is always fast and efficient. I came in with a larger group for lunch and this impacted service time a little bit, but our waiter was very communicative throughout our visit. I think they take reservations in advance so if you have a larger group and come on a busier night, that may be helpful. I always enjoy their pancake breakfast with potatoes and eggs. Beautiful place to come grab food with friends or loved one. The vibes are laid back, but upscale on a budget. The interior is clean, modern and warm. I love that the natural lights comes in through one of the many windows they have. The wine walls add a nice touch for photos. Service was quick. Our server was amazing, and one of the best servers i ever had. He was attentive to our needs, and offered suggestions for food recommendations. I ordered the raspberry stuffed French toast with a side of bacon. The French toast was fluffy, not overly sweet and flavorful. The bacon was cooked perfectly with a slight crunch. The Prasino burger was on another level. The bread was soft, not too thick and the burger itself was juicy and so good. The tomato jam and picked onions were a unique combination that complemented the burger so well. One of the best burgers I've had in a while. And don't get me started on the butternut squash- so good and seasoned so well. The downside was that it took us 15 minutes for a server to come and wait on us, but I still give 5 stars because the food was excellent and once we were waited on, our server was very nice. We have been regular brunch customers here for several years. We came to know our menu favorites and preferences. We arrived early on a Sunday morning, well ahead of the brunch crowd, only about 6-7 tables occupied. The hostess, who absolutely refused to smile or act pleasant at all, seated us quickly. Our server was great, very attentive and offering suggestions and answering our questions. The food took what felt like a fairly long time to arrive. We weren't in a hurry, so it was no problem, but unusual from our previous experiences. When the food arrived, my go to, the Green Chili Pork Skillet, showed up on a plate instead of the usual mini cast iron skillet. Also noteworthy was the juice present on the plate. A hallmark of something that has been refrigerated and then reheated. The potatoes, normally seasoned to perfection and crispy, were soggy from the juice! This is a much different dish than previously delivered. My wife's eggs Benedict was served on a half croissant, only half!!! Where was the other half? The prices here are not low, but we have typically paid knowing we were going to get delicious food and good service. The food preparation has changed significantly. We are unlikely to return for another $100 brunch. Sorry to say as this was one of our favorite brunch spots. read more

I had been here before a looooong time ago and can't for the life of me remember now it was back then but ohhhhhhh man. The Prasino burger is probably the best burger I've ever had. Stopped in for breakfast and it did not disappoint! The restaurant has such a nice, elegant vibe--bright, welcoming, and perfect for a slower start to the morning. Prasino is a local favorite of ours. We have been there many times and have never been disappointed. I love the P.e.I. mussels sautéd white wine and garlic with a chili butter and cilantro that is so delicious. The mussels are usually large in season and the toasted bread that is served is a true delight dipped in the sauce. I have often ordered an additional serving because a true Italian cannot leave a great sauce to be discarded without a good stroll thru the garden with toast points. The service is consistently good here as well. Bartenders are on top of their game with drinks and dinner service should you choose to eat at the bar as we often do. The wood fired grilled chicken wings are delicious, meaty and their dry rub with chili oil is outstanding. The Prasino hamburger is is second to none and often a reason we go. Topped with smoked Gouda, arugula and tomato jam it is simple but the jam gives it a sweetness that sets it apart. i love that they serve breakfast thru out most the day with many great choices to satisfy anyone. They also have a great selection of seafood including sushi rolls, ahi tuna wontons, avocado lobster salad, grouper fish tacos, salmon with pesto as well as dinner specials which can be pricey but always delicious and worth the extra. I really try not to be negative about a local business. I'm a supporter of doing business with a company willing to support the community. I was looking to "book" a private dining room in a restaurant that I thought might be good. I called Prasino's, but couldn't speak with anyone because their Customer Service is geared to choosing numbers on my phone keypad. Okay, I followed the rules-- left my name and contact information and sat back to wait for a call. It has now been over 48 hours and there has been no call; no message. I've now booked with another local restaurant. A place that has humans who will speak with a person when he or she calls. I suppose they must have all the business they need? Mu business would have only provided between 5 and $10,000 but hey-- I guess that's not worth returning a call. In any case, I don't recommend Prasino's. I suppose they just don't care. read more

Was in St. Louis for an event this past weekend and Prasino was so helpful in accommodating my table of 15. It's a beautiful modern space with high ceilings and a chic, modern vibe. Super gracious, knowledgeable and helpful staff - shoutout to Christine (Kristine?) for making it a great time. Drinks, appetizers and entrees were all delicious. I personally had The Smash, served in a mule cup and so cute, the tuna tatare, with a hint of sweet to the savory that balanced the flavors just right, and the double bone porkchop, which was SO much that I actually had to take some leftovers home, but the brussel sprouts that came with it were KILLER. We were not seated on time inspite of reservations. The Hostess was more interested in filling a table for 20. Put in our order after being seated, waited over one hour until our food was delivered. Asked for a Spinach salad no Kale, more kale than spinach. Ordered Flatbread with bacon, too greasy, took it home and tossed it. Our waiter took the salad off of the bill and apologized. We attended the final evening of the Holiday Lounge at Prasino with friends and truly enjoyed it. The bar area featured specialty cocktails and food items but you could also order from the main menu as well. I started with the Prasino punch off the regular menu and my husband had the Beer-&-shot Manhattan. Both were very enjoyable. For food, we shared the crab cakes from the holiday features, crispy chicken drummies, and parmesan truffle fries. We loved the texture of the crab cakes. The crab was able to shine through and was not overpowered by breading. The sauce paired with it had just the right amount of heat. The chicken was so crispy but still moist and the sauces that accompanied were a great pairing. For after dinner, I tried the Egg Nog Espresso Martini from the holiday menu which was really good and my husband had their Old Fashioned on tap and said it was very good. Also, while e were waiting on our food, the staff came around to give customers a jelly donut shot topped with a warm donut hole. That was absolutely yummy! I love Prasino and always eat well when I go here. This last visit, I went with my family while they were in town and we all enjoyed our meals very much. When we arrived, it was not too busy so we were able to be seated right away. Our server was helpful and went over the specials for the day with us and then gave us time to look over the menu. When she came back, my dad ordered the pasta special, I ordered the chicken sandwich special and my mom opted for the traditional breakfast (they serve breakfast until 3 pm). Everything came out fresh and hot which was perfect for such a cold day. We were all so hungry so it was easy for us to eat quickly while also sharing bites with one another. The chicken sandwich was served with a chipotle aioli which was really good and the side of potato wedges with truffle sauce was perfection. When we arrived we walked in and sat at the bar, cancelling our reservation for another restaurant. It took us 5 minutes before we were greeted by a bartender, one was making drinks and talking to guests. The other was at the bar on their phone. My friend went to host stand to get us menus. When he got back is when she approached and greeted us. Gave us waters then walked back over and proceeded to be on her phone for another 5 minutes. Finally the other bartender came over after 20 mins and took our orders. I asked about the steak and eggs. Because I loved the Birria bowl. The bartender said today's cut was a filet. Me Being a breakfast person assumed that it was just going to be few slices of it with the eggs. The bartender didn't tell me the price or how expensive it would be. After eating the food which was cooked delicious. However, my meal for a small filet 6oz or less, two eggs and some potatoes was $55. Which is highway robbery. That filet was same quality as the $23 at Texas Roadhouse with two sides. So I'm beyond confused that my breakfast was $55. My friend ordered salmon and bagel. He specifically asked for just the salmon and cream cheese. He received minimal cream cheese and the lettuce was on the bagel. When he asked for more cream cheese they charged him $2 for a small ramekin that you typically put ketchup in. Then his truffle potatoes were undercooked. Like still crunchy hard.. so we had to ask for another set of potatoes. We received the potatoes long after we were finished eating. Not once did a manager come talk to us or ask questions. Being two individual in the restaurant industry we were a little in shock by the experience. I am just highly disappointed with the service and the lack of transparency regarding the price of my breakfast I sure know I wouldn't have spent $80 on a breakfast like that or any breakfast for that matter.
