Came here with a party of 12. Family had made a reservation and the table was all set up for us. The waiter was very good at his job, clearly passionate about the food (when he told us the specials I was practically drooling- so eloquent). He made sure we were well taken care of the whole time. Despite this being in essentially a rich persons strip mall the ambience inside was wonderful. Beautiful decor, wonderful atmosphere. The food was very very good. Love farm to table and this place delivers that with elegance. I highly recommend this place for a nice night out. The prices reflect the quality you get. The 38$ pork chop I ordered was excellent and a lot of food! They handled a group of 12 very well. And from experience I know not a lot of places can pull it off but this place did with grace. I really try not to be negative about a local business. I'm a supporter of doing business with a company willing to support the community. I was looking to "book" a private dining room in a restaurant that I thought might be good. I called Prasino's, but couldn't speak with anyone because their Customer Service is geared to choosing numbers on my phone keypad. Okay, I followed the rules-- left my name and contact information and sat back to wait for a call. It has now been over 48 hours and there has been no call; no message. I've now booked with another local restaurant. A place that has humans who will speak with a person when he or she calls. I suppose they must have all the business they need? Mu business would have only provided between 5 and $10,000 but hey-- I guess that's not worth returning a call. In any case, I don't recommend Prasino's. I suppose they just don't care. read more

We were not seated on time inspite of reservations. The Hostess was more interested in filling a table for 20. Put in our order after being seated, waited over one hour until our food was delivered. Asked for a Spinach salad no Kale, more kale than spinach. Ordered Flatbread with bacon, too greasy, took it home and tossed it. Our waiter took the salad off of the bill and apologized. I always enjoy going to Prasino for brunch! They have a nice restaurant space with plenty of seating for large and small group. There is also a cute bar area if you wanna stop in just for drinks. In the St. Charles area there's plenty of parking outside the restaurant, which is another bonus. The staff is always very friendly and service is always fast and efficient. I came in with a larger group for lunch and this impacted service time a little bit, but our waiter was very communicative throughout our visit. I think they take reservations in advance so if you have a larger group and come on a busier night, that may be helpful. I always enjoy their pancake breakfast with potatoes and eggs. I wish there were a few more non-meat options for breakfast items but everything is pretty tasty. The pancakes are huge! And I love their drink offerings as well. read more

I love that the natural lights comes in through one of the many windows they have. The wine walls add a nice touch for photos. Service was quick. Our server was amazing, and one of the best servers i ever had. He was attentive to our needs, and offered suggestions for food recommendations. I ordered the raspberry stuffed French toast with a side of bacon. The French toast was fluffy, not overly sweet and flavorful. The bacon was cooked perfectly with a slight crunch. The downside was that it took us 15 minutes for a server to come and wait on us, but I still give 5 stars because the food was excellent and once we were waited on, our server was very nice. We have been regular brunch customers here for several years. We came to know our menu favorites and preferences. We arrived early on a Sunday morning, well ahead of the brunch crowd, only about 6-7 tables occupied. The hostess, who absolutely refused to smile or act pleasant at all, seated us quickly. Our server was great, very attentive and offering suggestions and answering our questions. The food took what felt like a fairly long time to arrive. We weren't in a hurry, so it was no problem, but unusual from our previous experiences. When the food arrived, my go to, the Green Chili Pork Skillet, showed up on a plate instead of the usual mini cast iron skillet. Also noteworthy was the juice present on the plate. A hallmark of something that has been refrigerated and then reheated. The potatoes, normally seasoned to perfection and crispy, were soggy from the juice! This is a much different dish than previously delivered. My wife's eggs Benedict was served on a half croissant, only half!!! Where was the other half? The prices here are not low, but we have typically paid knowing we were going to get delicious food and good service. The food preparation has changed significantly. We are unlikely to return for another $100 brunch. Sorry to say as this was one of our favorite brunch spots. read more

Prasino is a local favorite of ours. We have been there many times and have never been disappointed. I love the P.e.I. mussels sautéd white wine and garlic with a chili butter and cilantro that is so delicious. The mussels are usually large in season and the toasted bread that is served is a true delight dipped in the sauce. I have often ordered an additional serving because a true Italian cannot leave a great sauce to be discarded without a good stroll thru the garden with toast points. The service is consistently good here as well. Bartenders are on top of their game with drinks and dinner service should you choose to eat at the bar as we often do. The wood fired grilled chicken wings are delicious, meaty and their dry rub with chili oil is outstanding. The Prasino hamburger is is second to none and often a reason we go. Topped with smoked Gouda, arugula and tomato jam it is simple but the jam gives it a sweetness that sets it apart. i love that they serve breakfast thru out most the day with many great choices to satisfy anyone. They also have a great selection of seafood including sushi rolls, ahi tuna wontons, avocado lobster salad, grouper fish tacos, salmon with pesto as well as dinner specials which can be pricey but always delicious and worth the extra. Enjoyed a work lunch here and loved it! It's a great location with lots of parking nearby. We stopped in for lunch on a weekday, so the restaurant was not very busy and was very clean. For an appetizer, we got the blackened hummus, which is hummus served with a crunchy pita. Whatever seasoning they put on it was fantastic with the hummus!! There was a moderate amount of toppings through out it that helped give it a good bite. The truffle potatoes were perfectly soft with a yummy truffle sauce over the top. Was in St. Louis for an event this past weekend and Prasino was so helpful in accommodating my table of 15. It's a beautiful modern space with high ceilings and a chic, modern vibe. Super gracious, knowledgeable and helpful staff - shoutout to Christine (Kristine?) for making it a great time. Drinks, appetizers and entrees were all delicious. I personally had The Smash, served in a mule cup and so cute, the tuna tatare, with a hint of sweet to the savory that balanced the flavors just right, and the double bone porkchop, which was SO much that I actually had to take some leftovers home, but the brussel sprouts that came with it were KILLER. We attended the final evening of the Holiday Lounge at Prasino with friends and truly enjoyed it. The bar area featured specialty cocktails and food items but you could also order from the main menu as well. I started with the Prasino punch off the regular menu and my husband had the Beer-&-shot Manhattan. Both were very enjoyable. For food, we shared the crab cakes from the holiday features, crispy chicken drummies, and parmesan truffle fries. We loved the texture of the crab cakes. The crab was able to shine through and was not overpowered by breading. The sauce paired with it had just the right amount of heat. The chicken was so crispy but still moist and the sauces that accompanied were a great pairing. For after dinner, I tried the Egg Nog Espresso Martini from the holiday menu which was really good and my husband had their Old Fashioned on tap and said it was very good. Also, while e were waiting on our food, the staff came around to give customers a jelly donut shot topped with a warm donut hole. That was absolutely yummy! I love Prasino and always eat well when I go here. This last visit, I went with my family while they were in town and we all enjoyed our meals very much. When we arrived, it was not too busy so we were able to be seated right away. Our server was helpful and went over the specials for the day with us and then gave us time to look over the menu. When she came back, my dad ordered the pasta special, I ordered the chicken sandwich special and my mom opted for the traditional breakfast (they serve breakfast until 3 pm). Everything came out fresh and hot which was perfect for such a cold day. We were all so hungry so it was easy for us to eat quickly while also sharing bites with one another. The chicken sandwich was served with a chipotle aioli which was really good and the side of potato wedges with truffle sauce was perfection. Praying is a gem. I absolutely love this restaurant. I wish the parking was better. As soon as I walked into the restaurant I knew that I was in an upscale eatery. When we arrived we walked in and sat at the bar, cancelling our reservation for another restaurant. It took us 5 minutes before we were greeted by a bartender, one was making drinks and talking to guests. The other was at the bar on their phone. My friend went to host stand to get us menus. Finally the other bartender came over after 20 mins and took our orders. I asked about the steak and eggs. Because I loved the Birria bowl. The bartender said today's cut was a filet. Me Being a breakfast person assumed that it was just going to be few slices of it with the eggs. The bartender didn't tell me the price or how expensive it would be. After eating the food which was cooked delicious. However, my meal for a small filet 6oz or less, two eggs and some potatoes was $55. Which is highway robbery. That filet was same quality as the $23 at Texas Roadhouse with two sides. So I'm beyond confused that my breakfast was $55. My friend ordered salmon and bagel. He specifically asked for just the salmon and cream cheese. He received minimal cream cheese and the lettuce was on the bagel. When he asked for more cream cheese they charged him $2 for a small ramekin that you typically put ketchup in. Then his truffle potatoes were undercooked. Like still crunchy hard.. so we had to ask for another set of potatoes. We received the potatoes long after we were finished eating. Not once did a manager come talk to us or ask questions. Being two individual in the restaurant industry we were a little in shock by the experience. I am just highly disappointed with the service and the lack of transparency regarding the price of my breakfast I sure know I wouldn't have spent $80 on a breakfast like that or any breakfast for that matter. Had a great meal here with a small group from a conference being held in the hotel nearby. The menu is not large but is varied, so everyone found something they liked, from my pepperoni flatbread to the strawberry green salad that pleased the vegans in the group. The chocolate-caramel dessert was just right shared with another person in our group to finish the meal. The restaurant is contemporary in decor and ambience, with a pleasant patio perfect when the weather is nice, as it was for us. Like most contemporary vibes, the indoor portion was a bit loud for conversation, so we were glad for the patio option. I was excited to try something new this morning. My friend recommended this place so we walked in and sat at the bar. After sitting at the bar for about 5 minutes without being greeted and watching the female bartender scroll on her phone text and the scroll social media. Well I got up and went to the host stand to get menu and told them we haven't been greeted at all by the bartenders. As I walk back to sit down and hand my friend a menu the female bartender just was walking over to hand us menus. She saw I got menus turned around and then got us waters. After she got our waters she grabbed another customers check who had their tab and cash out waiting to be cashed out before we even got there. I asked about the Spicy Bloody Mary and said can I get it extra spicy please. The bartender then said "it is spicy cause it comes with jalapeño vodka already" . I said yes thank you but I'd like it extra spicy please, then she said she can see what she can do. My friend got a red sangria cause the bartender said the white sangria was sweet and not great. I completely understand that bloody Mary's do sometimes come with salt but to someone who doesn't like salt I ask people their preferences. My Bloody Mary came with so much salt on the rim and then dripping salt inside the drink. After trying to enjoy and relax we joked with the guy bartender a little who finally came to the other side of the bar. We asked a ton of questions cause I've never been there before. My friend wanted the steak and eggs. He said it was great and a best seller! My friend got that and it didn't have a price but the bartender never said anything about it. I then asked about a bagel and lox! I noticed on the menu there was an everything bagel and smoked salmon. It was a sandwich so asked if I could get it open faced with just cream cheese and smoke salmon. He asked my side so I picked the truffle potatoes. (My picture is below) Sitting for about 25 minutes our food comes out. My food came out as a sandwich with barely any cream cheese. So I took the lettuce off cause I didn't want it on there. I then asked for cream cheese cause that was part of the order I placed with him. I told him also my potatoes were completely raw. My friend tried one of my potatoes and agreed they were not cooked. He said he'd get me replacement potatoes. I continued to eat and had only 2 bites left of my "bagel & lox" and my potatoes finally came out. Mind you I was eating them with a fork and cutting my food with a knife so it wasn't a fast process. The second batch of potatoes were so much better. Once we got our checks I realized there was a $2 side of cream cheese charge added. Not sure why it would have been added if my whole meal was basically wrong and there was no cream cheese on the bagels to begin. I paid my tab but it would have been nice to just speak to a manager. My friend got her check and her 6oz steak and eggs came out to be $55!!! How could such a small piece of meat be $55 when an 8-12oz steak dinner costs that? I know the price of eggs have gone up but shouldn't be $30 for eggs and $25 for the steak!! Also, I'm not sure what "tourists tax" meant on our checks but my friend is local so that was confusing!! My old job as an AGM, bartender, or server had my anxiety so high at this restaurant. Usually if something isn't right a manager should bring out the corrected food. The bartenders shouldn't stand on their phones in eye shot of customers when the customers need things or greeted. I would never recommend this place. As a first and last time guest I would recommend Burger King instead cause at least my order WILL be right! The decor is cool and upscale but not stuffy. Lots of women were here brunchin, lunchin and celebrating bdays and brides. I knew we were in the perfect spot. Heather was our server. She was outstanding. Every recommendation was on point. She even recommended an off the menu cocktail that she created. Ask her about. Vegetarian options, food sources are local. Everything was delicious. Good sized portions. Sammys, bennys, tacos, nachos, scrambles, salads and more. We didn't have a reservation but there was no wait in the bar or patio area. My sister and I have a theory that Prasino is great for brunch, and not so great for dinner. It's proving to be correct. We had a 6:45pm Mother's Day reservation, and the staff really was so thoughtful. They brought over a few glasses of Prosecco which was so appreciated. My old fashioned was also excellent. Unfortunately, that's where the good parts of the dinner stopped. The blackened hummus was almost inedible. The pita chips were so loaded with creole seasoning that we couldn't even eat them. My fish tacos hardly had anything in them... maybe just a few small pieces of fish. My mom's pasta was so spicy she was unable to take more than a few bites. My Greek salad was sadly forgotten, but I decided to just let it go. Our server was so sweet and brought over a dessert for us to enjoy (the creme brulee) and it was really good. This dinner was super expensive and sadly not worth it at all. I'd consider brunch here in the future, but not dinner again. read more
