I can't say enough good things about Dr. Shah and his team. The level of care they provide is top notch! Dr. Shah is not one of those shady dentists who tries to upsell and profit off their patients. I completely trust him with my dental care. He lets me know what he sees as concerning and will be keeping an eye on and always answers any questions I have. Dr. Shah also does a great job of explaining what might need to be done in the future and what my insurance will cover so I can plan for it. Today I chipped my front tooth and was able to come in same day to have a filling put in. I left the office in happy tears because my front tooth looked so good and it was all done so quickly. The team at Sorrento Smiles is amazing. From scheduling, figuring out insurance, communication, and treating you like family. I am so happy I found them! Dr. Shah, Holly, and Gabe...thank you for taking good care of me and my teeth! It's so nice to know I'm in great hands!

My care with Dr. Janice felt especially thoughtful and focused. She kept me informed every step of the way and clearly explained the risks and benefits of different treatment options. I really value that, because many dentists do not give the full picture unless they are trying to steer you in a certain direction. Here, the discussion felt balanced, transparent, and aligned with what I already understood about my dental history and what I had previously been told might happen. I was also impressed that she understood my situation before I even had to explain it fully. A lot of the time, I find myself filling in the background first before a provider adjusts their view. That was not the case here. Highly recommend this office if you are looking for a new dentist. I already had Invisalign underway with another provider, but otherwise I probably would have done it here.

Just gave me in hurry like in 10 seconds. (Later I asked Delta insurance, why issue check to me, they said because the dental is not participating partner.) When I receive the check two month later. OK. I did not cash it. I Email to receptionist, What me want to do with the check? Do I give to you, do I need endorse? How to do with the check? ----No reply, until two month later. But I cannot find the check, after two month. I am not waiting so long to get the reply. And they replied, just cash the check and issue my personal check to dental. Another email said, endorse the check and mail to dental. Ok I can do it in two month earlier, but now I have no check. Then I called the insurance couple times, the insurance request me to ask the the dental office to call. And dental office called, but still not get it. And The receptionist email"I try to help you, but it is your responsibility to call insurance". Then I phone called, if the insurance need both of us to call, can we call together, I can go to the office. Receptionist said they are busy, they cannot. And the tune is not nice! I try to solve it, but no cooperation from receptionist. At last I call again and again the insurance, and they agree to reissue check. This is after one year of the service. Who want to have such experience? If at first day, they said just cash the check, then it will be fine. Or not wait for so long to reply. I cancel all the later service. The doctor is really good and the price is very reasonable. Better service, but less than half of the price out of pocket than other dental office. It is a really a loss to lose the doctor. But I do not want to have such kind of suffering from receptionist again.

Mira mesa Dental Care is a simple family practice. They do what they are supposed to to do without any fancy upcharges. the entire experience is relaxed...starting with a super friendly receptionist (there are 2 that i've met so far). You might even be lucky enough to catch one of the singing! Dentists are mother & daughter. You have to option to stick with one or the other but I opt to take whoever is available and i really like them both. All the dental assistants are all super friendly and make me feel comfortable. I have recommended them to others and my friends who have gone are also quite happy with them. only disadvantage is that i needed a root canal and that had to be done at another facility. that was new to me but to have such a good and honest dentist...totally worth the slight inconvenience. thank you =)

I came to San Diego dentist DR PRAVINA REDDY for a second opinion because my original insurance company appointed dentist wanted to send me to a root canal specialist and wanted to extract one of my teeth! I was not happy in the least with this treatment and decided to try another dentist from my insurance company's listing, and I found Dr Reddy, Dr Reddy has done a severe root canal., a crown, 2 Fillings, deep tissue cleaning and a whitening of my front teeth for me so far and I always felt that I made a wise decision!!!!!.Both her offices are conveniently located and has lots of parking in La Jolla, rare indeed!!!!!! Her offices has always been very CLEAN, and HIGH TECH! I was impressed with how Dr. Reddy was able to explain to me and show me the details of my teeth using instant live color pictures and instant xrays. You can actually see what she is talking about and observe the changes .The staff has also been very very helpful and most pleasant, they did a great job with the appointment scheduling always reminding me of my appointments the day before by calling and even emailing me, most appreciated! Sometimes in life we get lucky, and sometimes we get really lucky. In my case, I'm really lucky, and here's why. I live here in the village of La Jolla and I had to find someone who could help with a broken tooth. I had been going to another dentist here in the village for a couple of years, and in all candidness, I wasn't looking forward to going back. Not knowing where to turn, I searched the web, knowing it was a risky venture. I discovered Dr. Reddy's website, I was impressed with what I read, and I thought I'd take a chance on her. Lucky me, because and what a great call it turned out to be. Not only were they able to get me in right away, but her office staff was amazing. Dr. Reddy then pleasantly surprised me when she told me the tooth could be repaired rather than needing a cap, and she had me in out the door within an hour. We all have very busy lives, and we have plenty to do other than sitting in waiting rooms for extraordinary periods of time, let alone write reviews. So for me to take the time out of my day to write this review, well, if nothing else it reminds me that this dentist really is amazing, and I am lucky that I finally found a dentist that does what so few does; she really does care about people. read more

Dr Reddy maintains a modest size office in La Jolla, but once you have become a patient , you will soon realize that this is not one of those fast paced dentist offices, this is in fact an office that takes the necessary time, to explain what you are lacking in oral hygiene, and to educate you in what steps to take to preserve your teeth and prevent gum disease. As a health professional it is truly rewarding and refreshing to find another doctor that holds traditional values in place. The reward I am talking about is the type of Doctor that practices honestly and exhibits true compassion for her patients. Dr Pravina Reddy has all these attributes and besides being a wonderful person , she truly maintains standards that seem to be getting harder to find. If you are looking for an awesome dentist in San Diego, this is your place! I had braces as a kid, and as a result of that experience, I've been the sort of person that generally avoided going to the dentist unless it was absolutely necessary. Vina changed that for me though. A visit to her office is more like visiting a really good friend than it is going to a dentist. She is very kind and you can tell that she really cares about her patients and their well being. They also use some state of the art equipment (like a computerized x-ray device) that I haven't seen before. What amazed me most though was that I had a cleaning, two fillings, and a teeth whitening, and throughout the entire visit, I didn't feel a thing! When Dr Reddy asked me to write a review for her, I felt that it was the least I could do for her and her office. I found Dr Pravina Reddy, on Facebook, through a teeth whitening special, and I felt that her honesty about having to do a a couple of cavities prior to the whitening was at first depressing, but when she offered to do everything for under $200, I realized that this was a different kind of dentist, and that she is really concerned about my teeth, more than if I had good credit, or dental insurance like most dentists. I just found a new dentist and her name is Dr Pravina Reddy, I found her through my delta dental plan, and what stood out was her website, by the time I got to her office, I felt I knew enough of her . She took time out with me and explained all the meanings of the different numbers or ratings of my pockets in my gums , and she used an xray that was on a big computer screen , along with a mini camera that looked like a pen that made color pictures of the inside of my mouth. I highly recommend her to anyone that is in need of a caring dentist, and she offers payment options on whatever delta does not cover! Great dentist find in La Jolla Village!!!!!!! read more

I went to Dr. Reddy for an emergency root canal. The infection had spread to my jaw causing an abscess and I was in excruciating pain. Now, I'm a HUGE wuss and HATE going to the dentist because I do not numb well and usually feel most procedures. Dr. Reddy, was professional, caring, fast, informative, and most of all...GOT ME NUMB!!! I did not feel a single "tingle" of pain or anything else throughout the entire root canal process. I could have fallen asleep in the chair! I will be a patient for life! read more

I had a really bad pain today , and I searched for a dentist nearby , Dr Redy's name came up on my phone and I called , lucky for me she actually answered her phone!!!!!!! Lucky for me Dr Reddy told me to come in and she took some pictures of my bad tooth and gave me a prescription for pain killers. I was finally moved to a different room and got my teeth cleaned. I had to had ask the hygienist if I had any cavities and told that I probably didn't if the dentist didn't say anything to me which she didn't. But did try to sell me on invisiline which I declined. When I got to the receptionist I found out that I had 3 cavities. And when I asked to have the dentist explain them to me the dentist was too busy and the receptionist had to walk me through the cavities. I later came in to have the cavities filled and found out that they weren't actual cavities but staining on my old fillings which could indicate potential decay (not definite signs of cavities). Additionally when getting my cavities filled the dentist was late every time and the dental assistant would be assisting multiple clients. I'm summary the practice is incredibly unprofessional, double books patients, not transparent will billing, and their work is subpar for the costs. I recommend finding a different practice.
