PRco is the worse extended warrantee company I have ever delt with in the 35+ year that I have been in the automotive industry. I must tell you that PRco is the worst!!! PRco employee Mark is an idiot and he has no business working in the automotive industry! Our customers issue was checked and diagnosed within 1 1/2 hours of labor time. There were images of the internal engine failure which was verified via a boroscope (inspection camera) and nothing more needed to be done - It was verified that an engine replacement was necessary. PRco demanded for a complete engine teardown (down to a short block) which entailed removing the engine from the vehicle, disassembling the top of the engine and the front of the engine as well. This was a big waste of unnecessary man hours which PRco refused to pay and there was additional cost that they passed to my customer. PRco sent out their adjuster who confirmed that an engine replacement was required. PRco wanted to supply us with a used engine which I suspect would have been a high mileage engine so I insisted on supplying the engine if I was required to stand behind this engine for 12 months. As you can see from their disclaimer below, they want shops to install cheap parts and they expect the shop to stand behind and give a 12 month warranty on cheap economy parts! Do yourself a favor and stay away from these scumbags! AUL is a extended warranty company that we have used and is a much better company. So far I am very frustrated by the lack of communication which is essential to getting any repairs done. I called and left a message to ask a question, their voicemail states they will call back in 30 minutes. Never received a call back. Not once has a phone call been answered after many calls, it just goes to voicemail. I emailed my question and they did respond in 25 minutes, hence my 2nd star. After finding a repair facility they have been impossible to get a response in regards to approving repairs. The shop left a voicemail and an email yesterday at 4pm PST, well before their 5pm end of operation time. The shop left another 2 voicemails this morning and still no reply. After paying $3455 for an Open Road Premium coverage plan, I am apprehensive and frustrated. I hope I am wrong and they are just having an unexpectedly very busy week and that I can update this review to be positive. read more

The company was very task oriented with procedures and guidelines in which they follow through on very carefully to perform a warranty inspection to validate whether the product they are warranting are truly defective. You have to be patient when going through this process and ask the right questions and educate yourself a little bit upon dealing with them. This service took a little bit of time to navigate, but with the right mechanic communicating with them and a mechanic that I pay first made things a lot easier the company paid nearly $12,000 to replace my engine. That's a lot of money and I respect that they worked very hard on getting things done for me. I would've given them five stars except for one day there inspector did not make it to the shop on time which set us back a week that was kind of frustrating but the entire process otherwise as any warranties are was very lengthy but really in the long road save my caboose thank you PRco. I'm the owner of Valley Auto Wholesale. We were in business with an excellent reputation and large repeat customer base for 25 years. We recently retired from retailing. We dealt with several Service Contract companies over those years in an effort to only offer the best to our customers. PRco far exceeded all others in integrity, in maintaining high insurance rating and stability, in customer service and prompt claim payment. All of the repair shops we dealt with preferred PRco because of the way they paid claims. In fact a few repair shops referred their customers who had purchased their vehicles elsewhere to come to us to purchase a PRco Service Contract. I'm shocked at all the negative reviews but I do understand that when a large & expensive auto repair pops up suddenly and you don't have the funds to spare and you need your vehicle that it can be extremely upsetting. But that is not the fault of the Service Contract company. I have always known PRco to pay per the contract terms and I have never seen them try to wiggle out of a claim payment. I have seen dealers that sell service contracts quickly and often don't point out properly what is & isn't covered. Our sales people were instructed to always highlight the pages which detailed what is & isn't covered and maintenance requirements, while suggesting the customer familiarize themselves with this. A very small percentage ever took the time to read these sections. PRco is the ONLY aftermarket or non-manufacturer service contract I would ever recommend. Just my 2 cents. read more

PRco is not a real company. I got their insurance for my Jeep wrangler and four months after I bought it needed rear brake calipers, pads and rotors which were covered by the extended warranty. The car mechanic tried calling them several times and left messages but never got a person to answer the phone, never got a call back, or even got an email from them. That is a fake company. Mark Makarov supposed to help me by contacting KIA on my behalf but he decided to judge me and to tell me why did I choose the same dealership to fix my car. They only gave me 10 days of rental car after I asked him for more days, as I have no other car, another employee approved 20 more days, but Mark didn't agree with that. Cheap bastards. Thought I was in good hands doing the right thing by getting my daughter's car covered by bumper-to-bumper extended warranty service contract. Was partly motivated by a local, family-owned business. Charlatans. The contract's fine print says that they will replace broken parts with after-market brands. They also use Mitchell labor estimates, which are about half of the time it actually takes to affect the repairs, and 1/2 the time quoted by 2 different (trusted) repair facilities. So they'll pay for 1/2 the labor, and parts that the car manufacturer won't stand behind, devaluing your car. If you're the kind of person that will put crappy off-brand parts in your car, you're probably not the kind of person who will spring for an expensive service contract. Reviews here have either 5 stars, or 1 star. There's no middle ground. That's a clue that the 5 star reviews are bogus and likely planted by employees or friends. To wit, Sarah J allegedly got a Honda starter motor paid for at the dealership. PRco authorized 1/3 of the cost of my Honda starter motor and 1/2 of the labor, also at the dealership. Bought a used 2016 Ford Escape, 2 weeks later, the turbo went out on the car, PRco is paying for huge majority of the repairs and the people I dealt with at PRco were absolutely great about it! I would totally recommend this company to anyone looking for a warranty on a used car. I have to say my experience has been quite the opposite of the other posts. In all fairness there are a lot of variables when it comes to a warranty. I purchased the full bumper to bumper for my BMW and this company has gone above and beyond to make sure I've been taken care of. Mark specifically has been fantastic. He has done his job which is to do his due diligence. I respect that. I want someone to investigate and make sure my repairs fall within the warranty. If you want the best coverage you have to spend the money on the contract, period. If you can't afford the right warranty, don't blame the warranty company for denying your claim. You get what you pay for. To date they have covered over 10k in repairs with ZERO pushback. People can write bad reviews because they got denied or didn't realize something wasn't covered. This company is the worst. I was told I had a bumper to bumper warranty that I paid thousands of dollars I was told anyting would be covered. My nap screen was so out of whack that when you press a you get V it was a nightmare I'm thinking no problem I'm covered. I find out they don't cover the screen. I can understand if I had broken the screen with my hand but no the screen completely malfunction and they will not cover it. I purchased a 2011 F350 Lariet 6.7 turbo diesel. And I was sold a PRco Open Road Premium plan. And I have read the coverage up and down and everytime I take the truck in for a repair, they say it is not covered. I have been looking online and see bad revieves and an F rating on BBB. If I cannont get them to cover my items that are clearly covered as I printed the whole coverage for my plan. Mike stayed on top of it and called me every couple days to make sure my car and shop of choice was taking care of the problem. They got me a loaner vehicle, while the car was at the shop. I purchased a used car that had issues (hidden from the dealership possibly). With it, I bought a PrCO warranty and I needed that within 2 mos of my purchase when a new starter was needed. When I had my vehicle towed to Honda to get it fixed Make sure you read your contract ahead of time so that you know the process they expect you to follow. That's the only inconvenience I've experienced so far- is knowing that they want to authorize the repairs under warranty prior to you paying. But they paid for mine, no issue, when I did that. Also, they were quick to reimburse my tow when I reached out to them. Jen Bautista in particular made sure that the reimbursement was quick. I genuinely thought having gap insurance was supposed to be a stress reliever. After our vehicle was hit and totaled by another driver, i thought $1,900 was nothing to pay by this insurance on a 27 thousand dollars still owed on a car. Come to find out, This company is USLESS ! They ask for a million forms. I thought part of a gap insurance is so you don't worry about it? EVERY paper they got was because I emailed it to them. Prior to that I spoke to the bank that gave the loan for the vehicle & they had ZERO records of these people ever contacting them ! Same with the other persons insurance I had to contact them to send over documents ! They literally ask for so many documents until it's not in your control anymore and they stick to that missing document! At the end I contacted the dealer we got our car from because they needed them to cancel a warranty, prior to that they never heard of this Roxana from prco. It wasn't until I had to speak rudely to this woman for her to miraculously be able to make contact with the dealer after she said their were "numerous attempts" to get ahold of them ! When I was able to get ahold of them on my first attempt ! In their phone call Roxana had to give the dealer a call back the following week to give further instructions on what they needed to do. She kept asking for them to cancel a warranty which the dealer did not sale to me ! So how can they cancel something that was never offered nor sold to us?! She said she'd give them back a call for further instructions the following week, instead an email was sent to me asking for the same two documents she's needed for the passed 2 months from the dealer. Mark is an authentic professional and always looked out for my best interest while dealing with the repair service at Fremont Chevrolet. Finally made contact with the "Owner" Mr Benjamin, and although polite, and well spoken, useless in problem solving, This company is the biggest scam I have seen in a very long time. Aside from them selling a bogus Gap policy, they didn't honor the service contract refund. I purchased it...financed it in my loan for $1998, they returned $750 of it to the dealer. not to me, the dealer. I have contacted a Lawyer, for assistance, since oh, btw, I was told by Mr. Benjamin that I signed my rights away to have this case heard by a judge, instead they want me to go through arbitration so they can control that outcome of that too. SCAM, stay far away from this company. A company that is credible would not have escape clauses to avoid honoring their policies. A credible company would make sure you are aware of any waivers that might be misleading, and trust me there are MANY. All I can say is this company is bad news. I suspect all dealerships on Fulton Ave in Sacramento offer PRCO .. I blame them just as much for not going over the important items in these policies that negate the terms you THINK you are purchasing...I will be here daily, spreading the word that this company is in the very least guilty of selling bad faith insurance policies..They may think I will go away but if my review will save one person from their wrath I will continue.
