Got a dress hemmed here - took about 2-3 weeks and cost $95, which was a little shocking but I have no basis of comparison and I have never gotten my clothes tailored before. It turned out well though and they do allow customers one week to bring it back for additional alterations if you are not pleased with the result. I got my Canada Goose jacket dry cleaned here and I would def recommend. I actually had cat pee on it and they were able to get the smell out 100%. It was pretty reasonably priced - around $80 for the jacket and $50 for the biohazard.. would def go again read more

I am not happy with Columbus Dry Cleaners!! I had to return an item (cropped length cardigan) because it had not been completely cleaned, the inside of the sleeve was still stained and they got annoyed when I showed them that they missed the inside, as if I should have told them the inside was dirty as well as the outside (bearing in mind this is a cardigan that is not done up - completely open item). When I picked it up for the second time, there is still a stain on the label by the neck, the material is coarse & no longer soft and the shape of the cardigan has disappeared. Woooow they were able to de-yellow my dress perfectly, and I can actually wear it again! My husband has been coming here for years for his dress clothes but this is my first time here. I had an oil spill on an angora sweater and a yellowed cotton white dress with some grey in the lining and accents (so it wasn't just a matter of bleaching). Not only are they perfect, but I had left a little piece of colored paper in one of my pockets, so it made a little stain during the wash. (10/30/16) After I picked up my clothes and left a massage for the manager, Maria very promptly called me to rectify the situation. She was very pleasant and helpful, I wish I could have met her originally when I first picked up my alterations. She offered to take both items back and give me compensation for them- I gave her the dress and kept the shirt since it's my favorite flannel and brought it to another seamstress. The check was available for me to pick up the next day. I wont trust them with my alterations again, but Maria was great. (11/2/16) I will add that I was contacted again by Maria a week later. My original update was 4 stars. However, after Maria accused me of lying about how much the dress cost (it is now on sale, 3 weeks after I initially dropped it off) and stating it was still available (after I called online customer service last week to find that the petite sizes were completely sold out) I am dropping my score to 3 stars. I went back to the store and saw Billy and Claudia (seamstress). They were both very helpful and explained that additional work needed to be done to correct the fit. I'm not sure how the final product will turn out, but at least I can't fault the store for trying. Kudos to Maria and Billy for their attention to customer service. These are the types of local businesses we should all support! ORIGINAL I brought in two pairs of golf pants to have them altered to a slim fit. I showed the seamstress what I wanted and even left her an example pair to use as a template. When I got them back, they were nowhere close to the example I gave her. I don't understand where the mixup was. For the $50, I thought it would be cheaper than buying new pants. Now I just wasted the money and still have two pairs of baggy pants. Very convenient and dependable dry cleaner/tailor. They also offer pick-up/drop-off options for those inclined. Have gotten several pants/shorts hemmed or reinforced unraveling hems (I believe ~$7/leg). Also had a bridesmaid dress hemmed/straps for maybe $90. In DC, I had a similar job done for $60, but different material of the gown could explain some of the variability in pricing. I am sure (or would hope) there are cheaper tailoring options in Boston, but can't beat the convenience of this location, and all of the work has been done on time and ready for pick-up when I've needed it. Never have to wait more than a few minutes to be helped either. Tailoring hours are not exactly the same as the shop, so can call ahead to make sure she is in. read more
