I cannot say enough wonderful things about this office! From the moment I walked in, Tina at the front desk greeted me with warmth and genuine kindness--she made me feel comfortable right away and answered all my questions with patience and care. Dr. K is hands down one of the most thoughtful and compassionate dentists I have ever met. He took the time to explain everything thoroughly, checked in on my comfort throughout the appointment, and truly made me feel like more than just another patient in the chair. Although I can't remember the dental assistant's name, I want to give them the highest praise as well--they were attentive, gentle, and reassuring the entire time. The teamwork in this office is seamless, and it's clear that everyone genuinely cares about their patients' well-being. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I have been in dentist chairs for all my life as my parents had bad teeth, so I inherited what appears to be significant dental issues. I have gone to numerous dentists all over the valley and east coast and for the most part- it comes down to very expensive treatment and it is very hard to afford, which is why most patients don't go as insurance provides minimal coverage in comparsion to cost and out of fear as well. Every year I am forced to spend thousands of dollars out of pocket, which includes: implants, crowns, filling in cavities in multiple teeth, scaling, wisdom teeth removal, bridges, veneers etc. so I am a very experienced dental patient so this is a review you should seriously consider. Tina, I spoke to several months ago, but couldn't face going back for a dental consult based upon what I had heard. I need extensive dental work to replace crowns due to cavities. When I was finally ready to tackle the ongoing problem, Tina got me in immediately when I explained I was starting a new job the following week and needed to construct a dental plan to budget for expenses. Dr. K told me things that no other dentist had ever told me and I was incredibly impressed with his knowledge, patience and professionalism. He explained things and attempted to get to the root of the problem, without just throwing expensive numbers out to an already frightened patient on what the news might be. I don't have my treatment plan yet, but will most definitely update this review after the extensive work is completed. It is very clear he cares about his patients. With a patient who has spent enough money, over the years, to put down a significant down payment for a house in an expensive neighborhood, this is a dentist you need to see as I am a very experienced patient, who is always fearful of the procedures and the financial cost. Without hesitation to my fellow zelpers, this is hands-down the best dentist I have ever been to in 30 years. I am certain I will not go to any dentist now that I found Dr. K on a referral from a friend, Carol. Carol's teeth look amazing and she had significant dental work and she too loves going to his office. I am incredibly grateful to have received the referral as I have been in dentist chairs, where I literally cried, as I was losing my teeth after spending thousands of dollars on those teeth with dental procedures that failed and their response was cold and all about the money. Thank you Dr. K and staff for being a dentist who practices like from a different era of service where doctors came to your home. It is so refreshing. Lastly, his office is not like some of the very expensive offices I have seen (where I was wrongly influenced by the glitz), but a down-to-earth atmosphere not meant to impress, but to provide what medicine should be about service and health care. I wish I had started going to Dr. Kaocharoen when he was originally recommended to me! As a new patient I had a cleaning scheduled, but then cracked a tooth and was in a lot of pain. I called right after a holiday weekend and even as a new patient Tina got me in right away. When I arrived Tina at the front desk was so friendly and the office was clean and modern. Dr. K tried to do a less expensive fix on my tooth 1st because my insurance was not going to cover much of the more expensive fix. After the treatment he personally called to check up on me and my pain level. Unfortunately I was still having pain and he gave me a referral to have a root canal done. Which I did have done. Tina at the office checked on me and helped me get a quick appointment for a crown. That appointment went smooth and Dr. K and his assistant were very kind and explained the whole process and even checked up on me while the crown was being made. All in all they are so friendly there, the services were top notch and the practice was very clean with modern equipment. Highly recommend! read more

BEWARE of Dr. K because he is NOT honest and doesn't care about his patients but ONLY himself. He gives you a treatment plan cost then he raises the prices when you go to have your work done. That is not true what dr k said because I called in 2 hours ahead of time on March 24th 2022 to see if I still had an appointment that day. Tina told me that I had been cut one hour short because of an emergency that doctor K had. They did not bother calling me to let me know that I would only have a one-hour appointment. Dr k did not want to lose 1 hour of work and he would rather have me drive 35 miles one way for an 1 hour appointment for his convenience. Maybe dr. K has not realized that the price of gas is $4.50 per gallon and our time is precious to us. I had called to talk to Tina and she asked me if I needed to reschedule and I said no because it was 2 hours before my Dad's appointment. So doctor K is wrong on what he said on his reply to my review of him when he said that I stood him up because we gave a day notice when we cancelled before to give them plenty of time to get somebody else in my place. I did not demand to have everything done in one day. In fact they agreed to give me a 2-hour slot because I had to drive so far to get to my appointment. Since k had done that to me I decided that I would not go there because a good doctor will give you ample time to let you know that you don't have an 2-hour appointment but an one hour appointment when I was promised that he would do x-rays exam and Cavities all in the same day. This would put a hardship on me and my dad who is disabled to go back and forth many times. read more

Without a doubt, the best dentist I have ever known. He is technically perfect, quick, and a totally nice person. Every person whom I have recommended to see Dr. Kaocharoen loves him and has become a permanent patient. About 8 years ago, I wiped out 5 teeth in a fall. Dr Kao worked miracles in restoring my mouth to perfection. He is currently working on an extensive and complex 'bridge-building' on my mother and his skill and tenacity are awesome! Dr Kaocharon is calm and gentle. He is technically highly proficient and his manner is welcoming and caring. We have our children and our other family members see him. His staff is excellent and he is extremely responsive to dental emergencies. He is honest and does not over use tests. Dr. Kaocharoen is, hands down, the best dentist I've encountered. His approach is calm, friendly and scrupulously honest. I used to go to a dentist on Camelback and 44th who was very aggressive in scheduling services, and who told me I had a cavity that needed to be filled. Tired of the aggressive and frequent calls, I switched to Dr. Kaocharoen. He informed me that I had no cavity, and showed me the x-rays. Stacy, the hygenist, and Michelle, the intake/insurance guru, are also top notch and exceedingly friendly. While I now live in Bend, OR, I remain loyal to Dr. Kaocharoen and schedule my dentist visits for when I am in Arizona. read more

Just saw Dr. K again for my twice-a-year checkup. He is a great dentist -- thorough, calm, and takes time to answer my questions. His hygienist did a thorough, painless cleaning. Dr. Kao is so calm and patient. I look forward to going to the dentist. Pretty painless and he's gentle. He listens, and really tries to find the problem if the x rays aren't showing it. You know that feeling you have in your tooth and it's hard to identify. The small annyoing problems that later get bigger, he great at finding those before they do. Stacy his dental hygenist gives a great cleaning every time. I have been a returning patient, and it's time go see him again for my bi-yearly check up and cleaning. I used to have a complete aversion to visiting the Dentist. That is until I was referred to Dr. K and his Dental Hygienist, Stacy. I actually look forward to my scheduled cleanings. The office is very Zen-both the personality of the staff and the ambience of the setting. Stacy has to be the most competent Hygienist on this planet-she is uber gentle and detailed-and her cleanings can actually lull you into sleep. I appreciate Dr. K's expertise and easy going manner. He is realistic and conservative regarding his recommendations-he won't push a service if it is unnecessary. I know I am in good hands with this practice! read more

Fantastic guy - Very nice overall experience. This Dentist is upfront with you, but will tell you like it is. His work has been A+ and i'm pretty sure he saved me a root canal or two. He cares about this craft and as the others have said hes gentle and skilled with his tool set. Most relaxing Dentist I have seen thus far. Moved here 2 years ago and I have not been able to find a good dentist until this morning!! I wanted to have a dentist close to my work and found Dr. Kaocharoen through my insurance provider. Once I called to set up my appointment I had a good feeling about it, the receptionist was super friendly and helpful. Went to my appointment this morning and only had minor paper work to fill out and didn't have to sit in the waiting room long at all! and I was seen by the Dr! he cleaned my teeth, took x-rays, went over any concerns I had and then talked with me after about next steps and other ways to help care for my teeth and gums. I'm 65 and have experienced many dentists over that span, but Dr. Kao is by far the best I've ever encountered. For me, the true test of a dentist is not the usual cleaning and x-rays. As someone with problematic teeth, I am most concerned about my comfort when tooth repair is needed. Dr. Kao has the gentlest touch of any dentist whose chair I've occupied. I have no fear of anesthesia when I know Dr. Kao is wielding the needle. He also offers an in-house insurance program for those without dental insurance. His office is spotless and modern.
